She found the pasta salad to be quite good, but she admitted that she's had better chili dogs. Considering we're from Cincinnati, where chili dogs are a staple, we're biased. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming, but it became quite noisy during the lunch hour. The service was exceptional. Multiple waitresses were attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was enjoyable. Well, you could meet for lunch but where would you go to get into your Halloween mood for mischief and fun like when you were young? Eats & Sweets in downtown Ridgeland, SC goes all out for Halloween which was such a surprise, a hoot, and has great food to boot! As you enter their FULL SELECTION MENU Restaurant, yeah, their name threw us off to. You are greeted by an 8 foot, animatronic, talking Ghoul with fire blazing filled eyes while his arms and legs are moving up and down as if he is moving toward you. Well, your eyes would be on fire too if you had a pole stuck up your Keister! There is a 12 foot Mummy along with an animatronic Rottweiler that charges out from his guard dog house while barking at you loudly. There are some some bails of hay with nestled pumpkins strune about, and all of this is guarding their entrance. You just get that feeling that you're in for a really different restaurant experience, know what I mean? This very quaint and oh, so cute Halloween decorated theme restaurant was just as remarkable in its interior because of its breath, detail, and scope. This fantastic spectacle really lifted our spirits as it literally came to life in front of our eyes. (Pictures) Their Fried Flounder Platter was crisp (panko), moist, perfectly cooked, and was absolutely delicious along with onion rings that were lightly battered and will fill your tum-tum, with yum, yum, which my pristine beauty who accompanied me, enjoyed thoroughly. I slowly, and throughly enjoyed each morsel of my tastebud titillating, mouthwateringly savory, and fully belly satisfying Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak accompanied by provolone cheese, peppers, onions, on a freshly baked roll to which they added lettuce tomato, and even fresh basil (outstanding), upon my request. My only minor wish was that they had added less salt added to their California Vegetable Medley which tasted good. And all of this for a more than reasonable price that will surprise you, as it did us, making Eats & Sweets a tremendous dining value. Now you would think our fun filled, very surprising Halloween journey would be at an end, right? Wrong-go, my freaky friends as our server, a pristine red-haired beauty in full Halloween costume by name of Victoria, who was personable, and patient as we asked her questions about their considerable menu. I am usually very pleased with a salad and add the shrimp or other protons. Ordered a sandwich I did not want it toasted of coarse it came toasted. I know they moved the seating to try to accommodate more people. Much to my regret it may seat a few more people it looks crowded and it certainly feels a bit crowded. But the food is good . Decided to try this local restaurant after many people recommended it. Wow! We are so glad we did! The service was quick, the staff friendly, and the food delicious and plentiful. They had great looking specials on the menu as well, but get there early in order to get them! My husband ordered the A1 burger and it was gigantic and he has talked about it for days. Found this place on our trip to Ridgeland. Quint place in a fairly rundown town. Hope a few more places like this will build the local economy. The restaurant is inviting and pleasant,it had a small town flavor to it. They have a large community table in the middle of the restaurant surrounded by tables and booths. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is very good. I had the brisket burger. A very good burger topped with brisket and cheddar cheese and bbq sauce, along with a healthy serving of hand cut fresh not frozen French fries (that could have used a few more minutes in the deep fryer) but otherwise very good. My wife had the scallops and was very happy with them but her fries were a tad undercooked like mine. But the very large serving of very creamy and delicious Cole slaw made up for the fries. We shouldn't have but we did share a dessert. A piece of apple crumb cake pretty good but when we go back I'll try another of there many dessert options. We just had a little confusion when the check came. There was a 10% service charge that we assumed was the tip and intended to double it. But when we asked we were told there cc processing machine was foreign and it was actually tax not service. We loved Fiddler's Seafood! What a spectacular find on our way to Jacksonville from Asheville. The ambiance was welcoming, clean, and beautiful with the bright cheerful colors, old well-kept building, and then the beautiful palmetto trees lining the street with outside dining. The staff was friendly and authentic. Although they were busy they did not rush our ordering and answered our questions patiently. I could have ordered everything on the menu. My fried okra was fresh as well as the flounder. My friend got the low country boil and the shrimp was local and boiled perfectly. We will be back when traveling this way. The one drawback was an excessive amount of feta added to my salad. I pulled off at least 3/4 of a cup and still had some on my plate. I love me some feta but don't need a whole brick on my salad. In addition to a very nice menu, there were lots of tasty treats available, including cheesecakes, cookies, and more. I absolutely cannot say enough great things about this place! We happened upon it, as they prepared to open awhile back and said, "We need to check back." Soooo glad we did! After having lunch, we stopped in and were immediately greeted and cared for by Maddie. Well-kept, perfectly decorated, beautiful bar countertop and tables. Display areas were open and inviting and prices were in our budget. No hot chocolate on the menu, so Maddie whipped some up for my 8 yo. MADE HER DAY. The Ohio State game wasn't on one of two flat screens inside, so we asked to change the channel and they happily obliged.
