I don't know if you can imagine my joy when I saw the Paris Baguette sign off the main road while heading to the resort. As a Bay Area foodie, that sight instantly made my day. If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie. read more

Great spot for delicious pastries and drinks! I stopped here while in the area with my young niece because she loves smoothies, which they had on their menu. Upon walking in, you're greeted by their dozens of pastries and bread. You grab a tray and a tong, and get to work deciding what you'll enjoy there or take home with you. My niece decided on their strawberry mochi donut and a strawberry smoothie. I opted for their cherry and Greek yogurt Danish with their specialty drink - a Dubai Chocolate Matcha. If you haven't heard of the viral Dubai Chocolate - go Google it. No seriously...I'll wait. Their version with matcha was a delicious combination - I definitely recommend it. The Danish was good, but nothing spectacular. Next time, I would try something else. Their space is beautiful and modern with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I was visiting Savannah for the weekend and was excited to see there was a Paris Baguette nearby. There is one that just opened in Atlanta but I haven't made it there yet. Anyway, I made my way there on a Saturday afternoon around 3:30pm. I was expecting it to be a bit pricey but what I didn't like was how old some of the donuts looked. Maybe it was cause it was mid day but they definitely needed to freshen some of the cases up. Anyway, I purchased 4 items, The twisted donut, chocolate croissant, apple square pastry and a cheese danish. Everything was bland to me. Just some bread taste with a little flavor in it. Decent offerings and the pick your own style is definitely a great way to do things - because don't you hate when the server grabs the one with the LEAST powdered sugar etc versus the one you've been eyeing from the queue? It was so difficult to choose a few items to try here. Walking in the door the cases are filled with so many sweet and savory pastries. Just grab a tray and some tongs and start. We chose a couple savory and a couple sweet. We had them heat up our smoked sausage roll and ham and cheese croissant. Both were very good and although the beautiful presentation of mustard and ketchup squiggle got ruined in the warming process the flavor was very good and the sausage had a good snap, which is just how I like it. The Ham and Cheese Croissant is a classic with the savory ham and cheese on that buttery pastry. So good! By this time, we were pretty full but we had to taste some of the sweet items so the Sweet Rice Ball was the first. On the outside looks like a big round ball covered in cinnamon and sugar. Inside it's filled with red bean paste so if that is not your thing, pass on this one. I don't care for that filling myself so I scooped it out and ate the outside which is more dense and chewy like mochi than I expected but still tasty. The Jumbo twisted doughnut was next and we just shared 1/2 of it because by this time, we had really pushed it. This one was really good! It's croissant like pastry, twisted, fried then coated in some cinnamon sugar concoction with these amazing crispy crunchy bits all over. The combination of textures and flavor hit all the marks. It was awesome and I'll be back for that one for sure. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. We asked about several other pastries we didn't try and they were quick and nice to answer any questions we had. The restaurant and bathrooms were impeccably clean. They have a large covered outdoor space too and it was also very clean. This location is definitely well managed. I plan to make this location a regular stop when I'm in the area. read more

Loved the vibes and decor at Paris Baguette! We enjoyed a quick coffee and treat before our flight back to GR. The cappuccino was on point, exactly what I would expect from a cafe/bakery. We also had a tart and it was quite good, the fruit was fresh and the crust was flaky. This is where you want to go if you want "non tourist trap" food. The only experience I enjoy more than visiting a familiar place is discovering something new while there. Hilton Head has been the go to spot for rest and relaxation for our family for a number of years. Whether you want to be active, nap near the ocean, or just eat and drink some of the best the coast has to offer you find it there. With this last trip being 1) very spontaneous (the week of) and 2) very short (two nights) the plan was to go with what we know. The beach, ice cream, seafood, and some coffee. But that last one was the ticket to this new encounter. As I searched Yelp for heading home coffee, up popped Paris Baguette. When I scanned the photos and saw the pastries, I knew this was a must. From savory (broccoli and cheddar quiche) to sweet (mango and cream brioche/slices of cake), they have you covered. And all coffee related drinks are sourced from Lavazza! I won't tell you how many items were on my plate, but I will state it was not enough. I have many more to try. And I will with each visit. This place is so horrible. They blast music making it sound like a club. The roof outside leaks water all over the patio making it a slip hazard. The egg sandwich had Dijon muster. They would not return even though I cannot stand the taste of Dijon muster. The place is dirty and they do not clean the tables. I decided to purchase the egg sandwich for my husband, and then I got him a strawberry shortcake for his birthday and it was the fluffiest lightest and most tasteful cake. We stumbled across this gem during our visit to HHI and chose this for our breakfast spot one morning. This isn't an "authentic" Parisian bakery, but you won't be disappointed. The aesthetic is very clean and simple. Grab a tray and help yourself to the delicious pastries before taking them to the counter. There is a wonderful variety of sweet and savory items as well as other baked items and premade sandwiches as well as a case full of whole cakes and slices. We tried a lemon croissant donut, a ham and cheese croissant and a chocolate croissant. They were all fresh and flaky and delicious! We also had 2 iced lattes (coconut & sweet cream salted caramel). There is ample seating inside if you prefer a/c and a nice outdoor patio. Kung Fu Tea is adjacent if you'd prefer a boba-style drink instead. Service was friendly and even though it was 10 am on a Sunday people moved through the bakery quickly. The cost for all we had was about $32. What a cool way to shop. Walk in, grab a tray, some paper lining and a pair of tongs, then start your journey through pastry land. Everything that does not need refrigeration is beautifully displayed in glass cases that easily open for customers to access their chosen treats. First stop for me was the croissant section, oh boy - almond, raspberry almond, chocolate, strawberry, regular and mini. After picking up a gorgeous pain au chocolat, I moved on to the more savory items quickly grabbing a lovely baguette. My eyes became big as saucers, when I reached the tart, pastry, donut section. My husband loves pecan pie, but a whole one is just too much. Finding that the bakery offered a pecan tart was the perfect solution. My next choice was a ham and Gruyère croissant which was within the sweet section. My final pick (which came from the refrigerated section) was the beautifully presented slice of strawberry soft cream cake. My husband was making his own rounds, and chose a decadent pepperoni pizzetta. The staff asked if we wanted that heated and we said "yes of course" wanting to at least try something at the cafe while there. Everything else was well packaged "to go". The pizzetta's crust was pastry, (how can you go wrong with a foundation like that?)! The dough was topped with a light marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella, parm, herbs and cup like mini pepperonis. We dined outside and just slowly savored our light lunch. Light referring to the size not the calories. The pastry was everything one would wish for - buttery, crispy, flaky and just down right delicious. We appreciated the deft hand that was used when topping this buttery base, as too many ingredients would have made it much too rich. As it was, a couple of small slices left me satisfied. When we arrived home, I sampled a chunk of the bread with some European butter - it took me back to my visits to Paris, where I often savored eating a fresh baguette with cheese on the banks of the Seine River. It was just so nice to visit a quality bakery. Our one and only closed shop during Covid and we miss it dearly. At least the Paris Baguette cafe for us is a relatively easy drive. No plane tickets needed. Hurray! read more
