Particularly fetching was the bright yellow lemon bar, tighly wrapped in plastic with just a dusting of powdered sugar. I don't usually go for this sort of dessert, not being a fan of the overly-sweet, but something about this bar was irresistable. So I didn't resist. And I didn't regret. Fantastic, through and through, and sweet but not the least bit cloying. And while confections like this tend to be gooey, this one had backbone, with a crust that offered just enough fork-resistance to give the whole thing some dignity.
