When on the phone asking for a quote, I was explicitly told by the representative on the phone that the price included a tempered glass screen cover (and he even said it had a value of $20). So, I stopped in, had my phone repaired very quickly, even mentioned to the guy at the counter that I was happy to have the "unbreakable screen" included as he completed the sale and I left happy. Fast forward 3 weeks: My phone face-planted onto my hardwood floor from a the seat of a regular-height chair. I brought my phone back to Gamerama to quote me on a new repair. In the time between, I no longer had my receipt (which is their warranty slip) but I was advised that that didn't matter and it only covered function, not physical damage. I mentioned to the employee (a different guy from my original visit the month before) that I was told it had a tempered glass protector applied and didn't know why the screen would damage. The new guy told me that there was ***no*** tempered glass screen applied. I told him I was told twice about it--once during my over-the-phone quote and once when I completed the sale. He confirmed again, "no." Althought I understand and accept that I was the one responsible for the phone dropping, but with a tempered glass cover, the screen should have survived a light impact drop from less than 2-feet above ground. Had the tempered glass actually been applied as I was told **TWICE**, I believe the LCD would have been saved only requiring me to replace the glass. I was quote for a while new repair job at $130 cash. (I paid $158.20 including tax during my previous visit). While I thought this was fair (they run a business after all) I was so irked that they barely acknowledged that they lied about the tempered glass that I decided not to proceed with the new repair. I actually recommended this place to two friends since my first repair in May, however I've since retracted one of those recos I made and told them my second visit wasn't so great. IF YOU USE THIS PLACE: Make sure you have the work itemized in writing and signed-off on at the time of payment. I left with a sour taste about this place because of their dishonestly. Fun fact: the guy who repaired my phone the first time was also behind the counter again (though not serving me) said that even if there was a tempered glass protector, it wouldn't have helped. After some years of use, the screen went-out and one of the springs in the battery compartment corroded due to a leaky Energizer. I got quotes in the hundreds for repair at various places. On a lark, I asked Luigi at Nerdgasm for a quote and he said to bring the device by for a consult, issued a ticket and said to leave with him for review. Because the device is rare and niche, to say the least, he took his time because he wanted to be careful and examine it properly in case of any other issues. Aging electronics require caution. Luigi took personal interest in the device and suggested a compelling ballpark figure, pricewise. The upshot: spring was replaced and the screen was updated to a modern variant with a lot of added cool features not in the original. The price was in the double digits, well within my budget. While Luigi is not quick with older, rare devices, (because he is cautious), the end result is worth the wait with modest pricing. If you have some rare special electronics where care and attention to detail supersedes speed, Luigi at Nerdgasm is your first consult.

Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.
