Great board game store to visit with a date or group of friends. Came here in person at rush hour to pick up a game, as I didn't want to pay for shipping online. It's located in Richmond Hill in the business/warehouse district off a windy road called West Beaver Creek. The address is easy to find, lots of free plaza parking, it's next to a kids dance studio and very visible store sign. Nothing sus like another yelper stated. Inside is very spacious, clean and bright. I love how organised the shelving for new games were laid out and they even more games in back. Off the walk in, I was greeted immediately and four employees were excited to help me. They are game experts and could name off suggestions for games quickly, to pair with similar games I had in mind. Super fun to nerd off in the board game world here! I always cross reference with boardgamegeek.com first when planning to new purchases, but asked them in person to see if opinions lined up. I was impressed one employee was quick to suggest ones I never heard of. Prices are good to fair. I felt no pressure to buy anything there, they even offered if I wanted to test ones that they have opened or to get a feel of the pieces(card game quality for kid durability is real). I left with buying three games I had eyed online, and excited for the suggestions for the next visit. They have a free loyalty program, can't hurt to sign up when you're a board game investor, as this is one place to bookmark. No food or cafe noticed here, unlike other board game places. Worst Shipping Service. Do NOT USE. in the modern world where everyone prefers shipping (thanks amazon and covid) then in store shopping. i was looking for some board games. ordered few on tuesday morning at BoardGameBliss and same time ordered few from other hobby store(BGB was out of stock) paid more for shipping at BGB. other store used ups .. packed and label was created in less than hour and recieved the package next day. BGB took its time and took 4 days to pack 3 games at created the label on friday evening .. Saturday /Sunday courier was closed ... monday BGB is closed.. tuesday courier will decide to come and pickup then God knows which service they used to ship my package.. More than a week to deliver the games who are an hour away. Will not order from them anymore. DO NOT USE THEIR SHIPPING SERVICES. read more

As other Yelpers mention, this is the cheapest board game place you will find in GTA. The prices are so cheap to the point I am worried for the sustainability for the business. Fortunately, speaking with Ajay their board games expert (this guy by the way knows how to play over 1000 games and increasing on a daily basis), he reassured me that they make up for it by making a lot of sales. Ajay super enthusiastic and passionate board games expert at BGB, very knowledgeable. Board Game Bliss is a place where you can try, play and purchase board games. They have lots of community events where you can come by to meet new friends and try new board games. They have experts willing to recommend and teach board games. Really doesn't get any better than this if you enjoy board games. I encourage everyone into board games to give this place a try instead of going to a board games cafe. I've been a loyal customer to BGB for years, even before they operated out of this warehouse, they were in Markham and the owner and his employees are the best. Note: this place is mainly for transactions from the website and serves as a pick up location and storage. They have many many board games out on the shelves, and they even have a couple of games for you to try, but just know there is 100's of games that aren't on the floor but in the back! The location is in a sketchy area with dimly lit warehouses and it was hard to locate it at first. The inside is large, spacious, and has IKEA shelves all along the walls with plenty of board games that you've probably not seen before. They do indeed have the classics, but this place is also for the hardcore board game geeks. They also have plenty of tables to try out games that they chose and also for you to play after purchasing your own games. I've been loyal to BGB because they CONSISTENTLY have the lowest prices. You will never find better deals in one place. They even have a dents and dings section where they offer further discount for small damages against the box. They also have sales regularly, just check the website. They are also very reliable and customer service from the owner is top notch. They also have a points program. 5/5. I was hunting around for a place to play some board games and found board game bliss. First thoughts, its ghetto... it behind a bunch of factories.... Am I gonna die here today? When I got in I was amazed and surprised! Games everywhere and they sell games at the back. The dudes working are super friendly and explains everything perfectly. It satisfied my every board gaming need and it was cheap! Only 5$ per person I believe, and you're able to use that money to purchase a board game. So it's like a "try and buy" type. There aren't any drink or snacks but that's fine, I'm here to game! This is my go to board game place. read more

Our family got the board game bug years ago, but recently our purchasing frequency has risen sharply. Board Game Bliss has been spectacular in its service and prices since we started e-shopping from them in 2020. After 10 orders, without exception the service has been top notch. Packing is great, speed is great, and prices are great. The rewards program is a nice to have as well. I hope to actually visit the location in the future--looks cool! There doesn't seem to be much going around the area (as it's located in a business park behind a shopping centre) and it's generally pretty quiet. However, note that this business originally started as an online shop and they recently decided to open up a brick and mortar store..so BGB already has a huge following. My partner and I decided to check this place out as we are on the hunt for some new great games to try. It was empty and we arrived and we were greeted by an SA (AJ) and he was quick to help us out. The store has demo games for you to try out for free and you are allowed to bring your own board games to play as well. There weren't as many games compared to other boardgame cafes during the time of this review, but AJ informed us that there will be a bunch of new games within a month or two. The prices here are better than what you can get at any other boardgame store. I'll definitely make this place my go to for all of my board gaming needs. Although the website might say the game is sold out, call the store. I found that there were some games (like Burgle Bros.) were sold out online, but when I went to the store, there were 50+ games in stock. Overall, the staff are so nice and friendly and the prices are great here! You can also find a lot of rare and import games here that other stores do not carry. So check this place out! read more

This is quite the hidden gem in Scarborough. I didn't even realise this store was here but apparently it has been around for a while already. There are games on standby for you to play and try free of charge. The staff are super friendly and willing to help you out. Their collection is pretty expensive, comparable to 401 games downtown. If you live uptown and want to check out a store where they care about the love of gaming and not solely business, this is definitely a place to check out. read more

I have been a silent reader on yelp, but this is the first place where I feel compelled to write a review. First of all - I love Board Game Bliss. If I could give them 6/5 I would. I've been to many board game shops, but none of them compares to this place for the following reasons: (1) Staff - they have the most knowledgeable and helpful people! There was a time my boyfriend and I didn't know what board game to pick for two players, and when we consulted them, they were very eager to show us some of their favourite games and it is very refreshing to see the passion that they have for the place and products. (2) Play & Buy Model - what a smart business model. Not only can you play games at $5, but if you like the game or any other game, that fee is waived and goes right into the game you buy! (3) Price - they price their board games very competitively. In times of uncertainty to whether or not I am overpaying, I always go to their website to get a fair price and 100% of the times (so far) board games bliss has always been lower. I frequented this place a couple times now as my husband is an avid board game enthusiast. It's in a odd location near STC where the warehouses are. The location is not too accessible unless you have a car. They have plenty of parking and each time we go there is only a few people inside. It's never busy so we get service right away. My husband likes to order the games before hand on their website then we go pick up the games whenever we are in the area. You can pick it up whenever the store is open without calling in. Once you get in there are a bunch of tables and chairs where you can play a select number of demo games. We never stayed long enough to try to out any games. They have shelves of games on display. You can purchase a few snacks and water and chips. I think I have only seen 1 group play a game there before during one of the visits. It's actually very good since a lot of other board game cafes charge you to play there. The staff there are quite knowledgeable and can make Some good recommendations. read more

They also offer free local pickup so for those who are in Scarborough you can just order online and pick it up around STC. They have a demo area where you can try games for free!!!!
