We have been going to Vintage Industry consistently- many visits- over the last 4 years since we moved to the area. We have bought a lot of furniture, artwork, gifts and other items. We love the unique variety of vendors, the excellent selections, the curation of items and we consistently find great value. I'm mostly a mid-century gal but there is something here for everyone. The holiday events are always fun and don't deprive yourself of the epic sourdough bread and fresh-baked sweet treats! But then Schatz refused to honor that price. Said that the whole conversation and handshake had never happened. A LIE! Then they said over the phone that it didn't matter because they had decided not to do business with us. BY is located in North Carolina. Found a furniture store near them and that store is selling us the same pieces and shipping them to us for more than 20% less than Paul Schatz was willing to do it. It's rare for me to leave without finding a treasure. The staff is very helpful as well. Because this is a consignment store, the trust they are given by their consigners is high and I see them honor their clients always. I have heard them tell a client how valuable their piece of art was and that the price should reflect it. So they did not just take in the piece and let the owner of the piece not get top dollar. On the other hand I feel the value I pay for the items I receive as the purchaser is great. My sister and I found dessert plates (8) that we found to be worth over $200.00 and we only paid 24.00 total. I also find true antiques as well as mid century all under one roof.
