On our way to Lynchburg, we spotted this stone cottage on the side of the road and were drawn in by its charming appeal. Daffodils lined the white picket fence as well as the perimeter of the building. I loved the flagstone walkway and we knew we were in for a treat. With grounds this immaculate, there's bound to be a gorgeous shop inside!
Ohhhh, we were right! I just kind of stopped in my tracks when we opened the door and took it all in. It was beautifully appointed and displayed with care and attention to details. Every table, every shelf was meticulously arranged with unique gifts and décor. Much of the inventory is modern and new, while other pieces are fabulous antiques.
This is not your run of the mill shop, for the wares are carefully selected to spark joy and evoke creativity. One of my fav pieces were the carved graphite writing implements. I purchased several of these cool "pencils" which were really works of art in themselves!
A whole area is dedicated to gourmet foods, spices and teas. Another section features bar ware, and yet another delicious candles! Old knives, coins, fishing gear, vintage tools, beer mugs and cigars are some of the items you will see in this unique shop.
We left with our hands full and our heads filled with decorating ideas! The place is a bit pricey, but money ebbs and flows, go for it! read more
