Ebner's Custom Meats has great options and the meat is always fresh. We've had some really tasty cuts here. The downside is the prices -- definitely on the steep side compared to other places. Part of what you're paying for is the benefit of a local shop, and the service is good, just nothing that really stands out. Stopped here during an out of town event. Super cute and the service people on top of it. I thought the prices were good for the quality of meat you're getting. I would have bought their ribs and steaks if i had brought a cooler or was going back home soon. Instead I tried the jerky, sweet and spicy. They have at least half a dozen flavors and offered sample. It was so good! Got myself half a pound. They have rubs and sauces too. I'd definitely come back if I'm in town and / needed some special steaks for dinner or BBQ. Pretty cool place for meats. read more

We bring our beef here for butchering and we have always been happy with the cuts and wrapping we get.

Went here for lunch. French dip was really good! Wife ordered a half turkey sandwich and the size was what I would call a normal house full. After lunch we bought jerky and meat for dinner. This place is the epitome of "worth the drive". If you are within 30 miles of this place, you must go before you leave the area. I was driving through and stopped to get some jerky for my husband before I got on a plane to head back home. I do not kid you when I say this is the BEST jerky I have ever had. The owner even put the jerky in a cooler that they GAVE me because it had to last overnight and I still had . Now you may say, "it's jerky, it shouldn't need to be refrigerated". I asked, and my answer was that they use less preservatives in order to make sure they give you the freshest and healthiest possible product. My husband, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and sister all thoroughly enjoyed all the jerky and we were left wanting more. Thank you to the Ebner's for creating such a welcoming and clean environment to be in while waiting in line as well. My husband and I love the club sandwich at Ebner's! It's worth the 15 mile drive! Also, check on Groupon before you go because they often have an offer there. Since moving to Canby my wife and I have gone to Ebner's a lot of times, they aren't cheap but they have great quality meat products. You really want to like Ebner's but after experiencing the downright disrespectful customer service we only go if we absolutely have to. The first incident that caused us to take a step back from spending our money at that shop was ordering $50 worth of sandwiches and food from their deli. The food was disgusting. Brown/black lettuce, bacon uncooked and cold, missing ingredients, etc. We're talking legit health concerns and no quality control. I called Ebner's and told them the situation. I was questioned about their own menu...the manager asked me if I told them to put tomatoes in my sandwich when I ordered a BLT...I didn't think that needed to be clarified when it's in the name. The manager said that he's unable to refund and wanted me to bring in the sandwiches to show him proof. I told him I'm not doing that. He said his boss will call me in 10 minutes. I never received any call. Fast forward to today. Had to run to Ebner's to pick up some meat last minute and lo and behold I am met with poor customer service. Won't be supporting this business again which is really unfortunate. read more

Wow, what great service! I asked if Ebner's could do a catering order during the pandemic where I have individually wrapped sandwiches and they said yes. So they gave me a menu with their sandwich choices or make your own and I was able to have 25 coworkers fill it out and send back for the order. Almost every sandwich was custom made and I didn't hear one complaint from anybody. If anything, I heard several employees say they wanted to try this place out for regular lunches or other events! They were even able to send a variety pack of chips and case of water. The owner was able to call me directly and work to fulfill the order. It is safe to say I will be back here soon! read more

We were instantly offered samples upon entry. Great customer service. The product looks beautiful as well. We picked up some sausages and Hillbilly Beef Jerky. The Hillbilly is salt brined, not sugar and done in house. This is my type of jerky. The measly quarter pound we purchased didn't even last a quarter hour. Hell, I should have bought a pound (or seven). They have a little cafeteria like area in the back. I see they sell sandwiches that look quite marvelous. We didn't try one but if the samples we were offered are anything like what they put on their sandwiches I doubt you will be disappointed. Soup bones in the freezer, pigs ears up front and price points are great. We'll be back. read more

We just got our second quarter beef cut and wrapped from Ebner's. I specifically requested as much stew meat and solids cuts as possible and as little ground meat as possible. They have processed a quarter for us before we got a lot of stew meat and less ground meat. This time half my order turned out to be ground meat (hamburger). I checked in with the shop and there is no recourse for us. I get the feeling ground meat is just easier to process and they ignored my request for stew meat this time around. Not happy as now I have a large amount of ground meat that we don't prefer. read more

Kinda sad honestly, I've tried to use the Groupon I bought for them but the deli is consistently closed when I try and now my Groupon is expired. When I went in the person at the counter was indifferent and could only suggest that I try back when the deli person is in town. I Use to go here all the time in High School with friends for lunch. Ordered two sandwiches today with my girlfriend to go. She specifically asked the employee to toast her sandwich (which was never done) Not a big deal. Once we toasted her sandwich at home we sat down to eat. Upon the second bite of my club sandwich I was given quiet the surprise. My sandwich had not one, but two long brown hairs in it. Would definitely recommend the staff to wear hair nets from now on to avoid another situation like this. Where else can you get a half pastrami sandwich on marble rye (as good as NY), a cup of smoked clam chowder (stunning), a smoked beer sausage, and a beer for under 12? Best deal I've seen. Especially for the quality. Sausages don't have a strong smoke flavor, but do have a near perfect texture. Juicy and delicious and filled with savory spices. The clam chowder was the star. Having sampled amazing warez from Boston and San Francisco, Ebner's is better than par. Smokey clams and a not too thick soup are complimented by rich potatoes and herbs. Get here on a Friday to try a cup or bread bowl. Pastrami was delicious. Looked the look, packed the flavor. Not as salty as Los Angeles counterparts but that's not a bad thing. When I entered, the price to pick up my father's venison was different than what was previously stated. After that, my cards would not go through and I was told it was because they have a "new system". I had my father call and they told him that it was my cards, not their system. I ended up driving to an ATM to get the cash, and when I came back to pay, I didn't receive my change!! I'm not sure if it's due to negligence or discrimination, but either are completely unacceptable!
