They have makerspaces here at this branch, sewing/embroidery , etching, and so many other things. I love to garden and I saw they even have seed swaps and classes from guest speakers. If you are looking or community the library and EBRPL system as a whole does a really good job at connecting others. It feels "old school" but def a cool space. Another I love about this library is the safety and convince. At the doors there are security like pillars and you can even drop off your books at the slot outside. This location is very convenient for me because I live close to the area. I like how it isn't too big, like the main location, but it is easier to locate what exactly you are looking for. Yes, we will be visiting more often. I like the thought of "renting" books because it's nice to not to have to always buy them. My daughter was so excited to see so many books and it was funny to hear her say "can we buy this book"? Throughout the year, they have live performances - dances, plays, storytimes, etc. For adults, there are quiet places to read and mellow out. Will I be visiting the library more now? The library is divided into two main sections, books on one end and computer lab/ activities rooms on the other. Computer side is where my attentions fall, with 54 high speed computers to choose from, there is never a wait or hassle. Across from the computer lab is the "Idea Lab," which is a small high tech room which has low cost 3D printing available and a computer equip with virtual reality. The staff that I've come across are always kind with a willingness to help.

I used to get lost in books but life happens and you know the rest. This library is fairly new, has ample sunlight and although it's not Lafayette's main branch I found several new authors thanks to the suggestions of the cleverly placed bookmarks. I was also surprised to learn that you can also now borrow a book to your Kindle or download an mp3 book! Yay for libraries!!! DVDs can be borrowed here as well but if you want a popular title you may have to place a hold, which is a breeze here thanks to online technology. If you love getting lost in a good book, go here.
