Cute little place in Highland Park, the staff were great super friendly. They have a variety of herbs and plants. Always clean or organized. There's parking on the street

I went to Echo Garden looking for two house plants. Bill was very knowledgeable and helped me find the perfect plants that are safe for my kitty & toddler. I am a novice when it comes to plant care and he patiently answered all my questions. I left feeling empowered. Plus, there were kitty's waiting to be adopted. Can't go wrong with plants & cats!

Definitely not what I expected from the reviews. Lots of variety but its unkept and cramped....dead plants and old dirty pots. They had an elephant plant for $129.00....I want to support local/small neighborhood businesses, but that's $100 more than Home Depot (same size too). They also had shelves full of non-plant related stuff....it was like someone emptied their home of junk and found space here. Strange! I gave it 2 stars because the place had parking and the variety in plants.

Love this place!! We just moved to the area from Portland and our home was in desperate need of greenery. The owner, Bill, was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. His plants are happy, healthy, and fairly priced. The selection can't be beat. Ended up getting enough plants for each room plus a few herbs and veggies at a fair price. We'll be back soon to outfit our new yard!

I stopped by this nursery for the first time today during a visit back to LA. It has an eclectic, funky vibe with many beautiful, unique and healthy plants. I picked up two plants as a gift for a friend, as well as a blouse for myself in the second hand garments area. Rob helped me - he was incredibly kind, friendly and informative about the sun/shade needs of the plants I chose. He shared the store has been around over 20 years. What a gem!

This is one of my favorite nurseries in the LA area. I got some of my first plants from here. The shop owner is very helpful and the indoor plant selection was great. Prices are also fair. I will be returning in the future to check out the Calathea and Peperomia sections again.

Neighborhood gem! I've been wanting to come here for so long and was finally able to. Upon entering they have a hand washing and hand sanitizer station. During the time of physical distancing, there are signs instructing shoppers. I was able to find exactly was I was looking for! I just wish I had more time to browse the aisles. The staff was super friendly. When I asked if they had more of a certain kind of succulent, she offered to text me and let me know when they have more in. She even picked out herbs for me. Definitely going to come back when I have more time.

My plant starts adjusting to their new home.

No nonsense. Great variety. Fair prices. Family owned. I got several heavy bags of soil and Helen loaded them in my car herself. She is a strong, awesome lady! All of the plant starts I got are thriving and I will be back for more. Thank you for being here for the community.

I stupidly bought a $130 house plant/tree (plus a large $70 pot) here based on the assurances from one of the owners that it would survive in a low light environment (room with one window that doesn't get much sun). I normally wouldn't spend that much on a plant, but it was a beautiful tree, and the woman insisted it would survive perfectly. I followed her care instructions to the letter, and now, two months later, it's dropped dozens of leaves. The bottom half gets more bare by the day and it's clearly dying. When I went back to ask their advice, I was told firmly, "Not our problem!" and shooed away like I'd come to rob the place. Seriously, those were the woman's exact words. I was blown away. I moved it into a room with more light, and gave it a bit more water, as per the recommendations of a gardening community online. Nevertheless, the plant dropped no fewer than 8 more large, beautiful, full leaves over the weekend. I feel ripped off and supremely stupid for allowing myself to be conned into spending that much money on a plant when the salesperson clearly didn't give a damn whether it would survive once it left their property, and only cared about getting my money. I will not be shopping here ever again.

    my new plants!

An absolutely charming nursery with unrivaled selection to choose from. The owner has his charm and his garden wisdom is true and clear.

This market has pretty much everything you need an more when it comes to produce and prepared foods/goods that you can take home. Lots of options for food to eat then and there as well! As expected, the vibe here is pretty hustle and bustle with lots of food traffic coming through. I used to live in the area during the early 2010s and used to frequent this farmers market. If I recall correctly, it used to be able to fit in the parking lot of the Wells Fargo for the most part. I visited for the first time in years, recently and the market expands through a few blocks and lots. I enjoyed it before, but now they have a comparable selection of some other notable farmers markets around the city. With the expansions and heavier foot traffic, parking can get a little tough. I parked about three blocks away and it was a nice day have have a small walk anyway, but just know that you may have to search around.

I heard so much about this Atwater Village Farmers' Market and being Sunday, I wanted to give them…read morea try to see if it's good or not. Walked in at exactly 9am, and there was already a long line. They had a lot of food options to choose from along with lots of beautiful, real plants. They have over 30 vendors and some even let you try the food before buying them. Parking situation was a disaster, No parking and one of the streets near buy was closed. I had to circulate like 4 times, parked 2 blocks down and had to walk to the Market. I bought couple of scented candles, loaf of olive bread, 4 Croissants, dozen eggs, 4 beef Pupusas, fresh Sunflowers from their floral vendor, 2 regular size ground beef tacos with cheese and tomato from their taco stand, 2 Apricot preserves in a jar, got fresh berries. 5 Peaches, Strawberries, and blueberries, and one cup of decaf. Coffee to enjoy with my croissant. Place was clean, and dogs were very annoying being in the presence of food and people. They have dried fruit, nuts, few clothes, jewelry, and more.. A small pony ride with carousel in the back for kid's entertainment. Everything was overly priced and not worth paying the money for. You can get all that at your nearest grocery store for a lot more affordable prices. It was worth giving this place a try though.. I think I will stick to my Studio City Farmers market that is literally 5 minutes away from my house. They also don't have parking, but it is somewhat more manageable than this one was..Remaining food that doesn't sell, they make a donation to the nearest charities!
