Their staff if incredible and so well informed that I was able to say very vague words (cat safe, easy to manage, does well in windows) and was offered a variety of plants. They are so so well priced and there is such a wide selection. The shop feels like magic the way it just keeps going the further in you walk! So glad I went to Potted instead of a big retailer. Some of the pots in the outdoor area have such a vivid colour they remind me of Fiesta Ware. Right now they have Christmas lights on outside of fence at sidewalk, must look pretty at night. I have way too many indoor plants in my house, and yet I always end up picking up something here at this excellent plant shop. The plants from dumbcane to pileas here are usually in top shape and quality with barely any blemishes. My girlfriend ended up with way too many pots from here, and I with too many cute begonias and prayer plants here. But definitely take a stroll outside for inspiration from the succulent and fern areas. The staff there are approachable and friendly, and they were more than cheerful to help me find a few plants to outfit my workplace. For one plant that my girlfriend couldn't find, the owner went back to her notes to help us identify the right species name! Not a sad plant in this place. I was in the area after watching my PATS game and decided to try my luck in finding my 'string of turtles' with no such luck but this spot is so inviting. It's easy to see why this is a neighborhood fave. Covid-minded they only allow 5ppl. in at a time, so be sure to factor that in. Staff was courteous and friendly thank you for waiting and you can tell they love what they do ALL the plants looked so happy. I will be returning for sure. It's been five years since my last visit here - and I sure am glad they're still here. Their collection of indoor potted plants are as awesome as ever - they are currently highly sought after. They have lots of air plants too. Their outdoor pots could easily fit most home decors. As before, Potted has many great ideas and items to fulfill your urban garden goals. Definitely not what I expected when I walked inside the gate. The outdoor and indoor rooms/space they set up are so beautiful and relaxing...gives me motivation and ideas for my backyard space. They have lots of cute and unique decor for the garden, indoor and out. Covid wise, they are doing what they need to do to keep employees and customers safe and comfortable, which is probably why there's a line when you come sometimes...so be patient, kind and understanding. Finally made it to Potted and it was lovely! Very, very limited capacity, which made me feel safe. They also have sanitizer at the entrance and bring customers through the gate one by one. Staff was super helpful while keeping their distance. We went on a Sunday morning and had to wait a few minutes outside of the gate. The shop was beautiful, and pretty reasonably priced if you're someone who doesn't buy a ton of plants. Most of the small, 4" plants were priced under $20 and the pot selection was very nice. I also loved the little shed in the back where you can pot your own plants. I got a few plants, including a calathea ornata that's been on my wishlist for a while!! So exciting. It was a little bit more than I would've wanted to spend, but they can be hard to find, and I think my perspective is skewed from only buying my plants wholesale. Overall, I highly recommend this shop if you're in the area and want to pick up a plant or two! read more

I spent thousands of dollars at the Potted Store for a set of Fermob chairs from their Sixties collection. After several years of moderate use, the chair seats have given way. The Fermob company says I need to get support from the store where I bought them, and the Potted Store has done nothing to provide any support. They are no longer under warranty but they were very expensive to have only lasted a few years. I am disappointed in the Fermob products and even more disappointed in the Potted Store's level of service. read more

I had a lovely experience here! They take the COVID-19 precautions very seriously. Once you get to the door, call their store, and an associate will come out and unlock the gate for you. This is a smart way of keeping count of how many people are actually in the store/garden and allows for a pleasant shopping experience. They currently have a 20% discount on everything, some with even higher markdowns. I am not sure how long this will last, so definitely stop in soon if you have some new planting resolutions or needs. Christine and the rest of the staff were really kind. **BUYERS BEWARE, CHECK YOUR PLANTS BEFORE PURCHASING** I was in search for a new nursery/plant store. Being that I recently moved to the South Bay & I've gone to most of the nurseries out here, I was excited to see what this place was about. I am a new plant mom and have 6 in my collection so I was looking to add my 7th! I called ahead to ask if they were open and they were! Upon arrival, you are asked to wait at the gate and give them a call to let you inside of the store. This place is beautiful! There are so many knick-knacks to look at and being that it is Christmas season, they had the most beautiful felt ornaments and garlands. I couldn't resist and bought myself a little potted plant ornament for my Christmas tree, I also purchased a beautiful felt pot, potting soil and a Chinese Evergreen. Also, with a Yelp check-in you get a free small succulent! I was pretty happy with my purchase and visit. The next day I was repotting my Evergreen and to my horror, I noticed that there were mealybugs on one of the leaves of my NEW plant!! I take really good care of all of my plants and I quarantine any newbie for two weeks before introducing them to the others, just to be safe. I called them immediately, The lady on the phone told me that I can definitely bring it in to exchange. I was pretty upset being that I live on the other side of town and had to make that long drive again. After an almost 45min drive in traffic, I was back and this time I was going to make sure to inspect my plant thoroughly before bringing it home. I got to the store and one of the store associates noticed that I came in with a plant and he completely ignored me and proceeded to help the people coming in behind me, I was pretty upset at that. I had to wait about 15min before anyone would help me. I was very discreet and respectful in telling them about the mealybugs, they apologized and told me to pick another plant for replacement. They did not have anything that I wanted that was 4 inches in size (to fit the pot I have at home). so I ended up bringing home a larger Emerald Gem, which was a $5 difference. I might be asking for way too much but considering the inconvenience and the irresponsibility of having mealybugs on a brand new plant, I expected some sort of courtesy discount --nothing. I definitely understand the tough time small businesses are having but you would think that this would make them want to keep every customers happy too. Although I really liked this place on my first visit, the experience in the end left a bitter taste in my mouth. I don't know if I will be coming back. read more

Found our fire pit through a Sunset Magazine article that featured Potted's gorgeous pit. Once there we found Adirondack chairs to surround the fire pit made of thousands of recycled plastics. Checked out Potted this past weekend to see what their houseplant selection was like and here is my experience: * Decent selection of houseplants * Prices were slightly on the higher side and some of the plants did have pests * Great prices and selection on pottery hence their name * Very friendly staff who are knowledgeable about their selection * Parking is relatively easy They are only allowing a few guests in at a time so you may have to wait upon arrival depending on how busy they are. You may also have to give them a call to have them open the gate for you in case they aren't nearby the front entrance. If you check in on yelp you can also get a free $4 succulent from their selection so be sure to do that. read more

Location -kind of hard to find because of the busy street but it's right next to India sweet and spices. I've always wanted to get some succulents and cactus . I'm a newbie and I think this is a great place to start. Corliss ( not sure if I spelled her name right) helped me and explained things to me. She potted my plants and made recommendations . I bought my first house plant recently, a tall dracena compacta that I have managed to keep alive, so far, for over three months. I guess I'm just not really a natural plant lady, as it took me a whole lot of hemming and hawing to get the one plant, but it sure makes my living room look nicer, especially in the beautiful big blue pot I got from Potted. It took me something like four trips to buy this pot, by the way--I had a very specific type of pot in mind, but also knew nothing about plants or pots or how to buy either. I wanted a blue ceramic pot that had the same kind of glaze as some Korean pottery, and was so convinced this was what I needed for my house that I went looking for the pot before the plant. I stopped by Potted to browse when I was in the neighborhood a couple of times (I used to live in Los Feliz, so I love this part of town; also, when I asked a friend in Atwater if she'd every been to Potted, she just showed me like ten beautiful little succulents she'd gotten there, so I guess this is a thing), and on my second visit, I talked to someone who suggested I buy the plant before the pot--wise advice. Potted has a great selection of plants, but it isn't as well stocked as, say, a nursery, especially when it comes to the big and tall ones (I ended up getting my plant at a nursery). If you want a pot, though, it seems to be the place to go. They have tons of gorgeous pots in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors, and if you don't see what you want, they can order it for you. I ended up leaving my name and contact information, along with a request for a blue ceramic pot with a 16" diameter (I had even picked the shade of blue--they had a smaller pot in the glaze I wanted). They told me they would keep an eye out, and sure enough, they got back to me with a picture when they went to a specific wholesaler that made this kind of pot. I ordered it and went back to pick it up. It was exactly what I wanted, and cost $103.50--reasonable, I think, for a pot of that size. Service was impeccable throughout this whole process. Everyone was just really friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I could even have gotten my plant potted here, if I'd had a way of transporting the whole thing. They gave me all kinds of suggestions on what to do once I had pot and plant together. So far, I haven't potted it, and may just get some moss to cover the gaps, but it looks fantastic. I'm so pleased I was able to get the perfect pot, and would definitely recommend Potted if you're looking for something special. read more

Wow I just made two arrangements and spent $46 and some change. While not the cheapest, I got two pretty pots, three succulents (one of which was a free 4" because of the yelp check in), split the top dressing, used their equipment and soil, and added seashells and an amethyst. One of these plants was prettily packaged for a bday present. Can't wait to go back to make more! I'm already addicted to this interactive activity! read more

Totally willing to overpay for that, but am really disappointed in their customer service on my last visit. He was a fount of knowledge about all types of plants and their specific watering/fertilizing/lighting/pruning needs, which really helped as we had A LOT of questions! He went above and beyond to help us find the right plants for our space and to help us understand how to best care for them. Ive used Potted twice for different clients and both times, plants have had issues dying quickly or not being potted correctly. One clients fiddle fig started dying quickly after installation despite the right care. The second client had 3 potted trees done by Potted and though the fee was paid to have them installed, potted with the right amount of soil + spanish moss cover, they skimped so much on inner material + soil that the dracena keeps falling over in its pot. I checked the other ones and its the same? I also was given a bit of an attitude about using a service that I was told was available for Designers - and after those installs was basically told they are too busy to take on projects the designer chooses the plants. read more

Cute little nursery! Found this place through yelp when I was in the area. There were only a limited number of customers allowed for covid19 precautions and had hand sanitizer available at the entrance. They had tons of different kinds of pots in various sizes! They even had a little room in the back where you can pot your own plant. There weren't a lot of plants available. It seems that I came on a day when they have not restocked their plants. Regardless, I still picked up a healthy Chinese Evergreen that I have been wanting. The staff were nice, but I wish they had more staff that was knowledgeable about the plants. The lady that my friends and I talked to, was not very informative about the plants we bought. Other than that, it was a nice store. read more
