My go to spot for premium in the bag mulch and shrubs when needed. I skip the Home Depot and Lowe's special since I don't need a whole ton of mulch and the mulch is so much better looking. Pricey but you get what you pay for. They also have a variety of shrubs, flowers, I can't complain about. They're very helpful with assistance loading up the vehicle, and great help with selecting plants, and shrubs. Also have wagon carts for you to use to load up your items. I did have store credit one time for well over a year and as long as you hold onto the receipt, they continue to honor it. If I remember correctly, they also warranty shrubs for one year. Overall pretty satisfied with service and selection of plants. My most recent experience here was exceptional. They really try their best to be attentive to their customers. read more

I popped into this nursery for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The owners are a sweet elderly couple who are very friendly and immediately ready to help upon your arrival. They have everything from out door landscaping plants, to indoor potted plants to everything you may need to take care of plants and even decor for your garden and house. They have a wide variety of indoor plants and the cutest pots and vessels to put them in! Francine was very knowledgeable about the indoor plants and her husband was very knowledgeable about the outdoor plants. They recently got a shipment in of more rare indoor plants including little thai constellations and Shiveriana moonshine. They had huge boxes that were about to be unpacked full of all sorts of beautiful pots to put your plants in too with regular shipments of new plants and pots and decor. They are decently priced as well. I highly recommend you swing in and wander around! The place is much bigger than you expect! read more

He suggested lots of shrubs that should do well and offered to talk again after I had researched the shrubs. The time and expertise Howard offers to customers is exceptional. And here's a great big "meh" for Echo Brook. It's laid out well, but everything is WAY over priced. I actually bought some starter plants for half what they were charging here for HALF the price. Also, they didn't have a sizable greenhouse, so I'd imagine the plants are imported. This might actually explain the price, but also counts as a second strike. read more

Best value by far! Echobrook has the best selection of plants including hard to find varieties. It's my go-to spot for trees and shrubs. The plants are much bigger and in better condition than what I could find at the big box stores and other local nurseries. Prices are very competitive, and you get a much higher quality plant. Echobrook Nursery is a nice place to shop for plants, garden accessories, and interesting gift shop stuff. Francine the owner has a great eye. She seems like a sincere garden and plant lover. It is like a plant boutique, not department store, with maybe not a huge selection, but a very nice selection of quality plants. Plants that I have bought from Echobrook have thrived. Annual and perennial flowering plants are kept watered and are nicely arranged outside and inside. They have interesting shrubs, speciman quality at times. A great selection of clay pots and wind chimes. The tropical houseplants are gorgeous and yet still quite a bit cheaper than at (I guess I won't name it) a certain chain garden center. The annual 'hangers' are eyepopping, IMO. I like going there. read more

If you are looking for high quality trees, shrubs, and perennials, this is the place! Great selection of harder to find plants. Very reasonable prices- if you want cheap hostas go to the Home Depot, but if you want fastigiate beeches, well tended firs, many varieties of rhododendrons, and amazingly unique perennials, these guys are great. I am very happy with Echobrook Nursery. My fiancé and I visited to pick up some plants for making a couple of terrariums and received A+ service. They were friendly and helpful from the moment we approached the store, even separating plants that were already planted in arrangements to accommodate our needs. I don't feel the prices were too high. Even if they wanted to charge a bit more, I am happy to chip in the extra coin for the service we had and supporting an independent local business. Awful. Terrible. Miserable owners. Went there recently and was treated so badly by both owners. Asked the woman Inside for help and she couldn't be bothered as she remained on a personal telephone call chatting about the beach to the person on the other end. Eventually telling us to "go outside and find my husband." We were looking to plant in a certain area and just wanted their expert opinions on layout or types of Flowers etc and the man was beyond rude. Told us we were lost. Continuously made negative comments about our brand new beautiful patio. He acted completely and overly irritated that he had to even speak to us. And overall just made us feel terrible we even went there. The worst customer service I've ever experienced from OWNERS of a business. read more

First off, I've no idea what the reviewer that gave this place two stars is referring to when she states, "a pretty small plant stand." This place is anything but that! An absolute gem located on busy Grafton Street. The lot on which the gift shop, greenhouse, statuaries and huge selection of plants sits is far larger than it appears from the street. Ample parking. Charming, unique items in the gift shop. AMAZING selection of old favorites and hard to find perennials, trees, shrubs, etc., etc. Beautiful, healthy selection of annuals. Their hanging plants are beautiful, unique and very reasonably priced. The proprietors are very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been a customer of Echobrook's nursery for over 10 years. The quality of their products is only outdone by their customer service and knowledge. If it was not for Francine I would not have such beautiful flower gardens! Both Francine and Howard are patient, informative and friendly. It reminds me of days past when the store owner asked about your family, your child and the phrase " how are you" was not rhetorical.
