I had never tried personal training before and was honestly hesitant, but in October I decided to give it a shot. I could not be happier with that decision. Mark is my personal trainer, and he has a wealth of knowledge that instantly made me feel comfortable. He put me on a solid, no-nonsense training program that's both attainable and pushes me to my max every single day. If you want to be challenged and see results fast, ask for Mark. He's a kick‑ass trainer who truly knows how to get the best out of you.

I actually loved the gym itself, but my experience with personal training completely ruined it…read more I paid for 30-minute sessions, but my trainer was constantly late, so I'd often only get about 20 minutes while still being charged for the full session. The final straw was when he showed up 16 minutes late and still tried to count it as my session. Then the following week he double-booked me and had me work out with someone else. I left in tears. Back in May, Brandon and Brooke told us this was resolved, that I wouldn't owe a remaining balance, and that I could cancel. Yet I'm still getting emails saying I owe money. My husband has also repeatedly asked to speak with the mysterious "Kev," and despite multiple promises, we've never received a call. It's frustrating to pay a premium for a service that wasn't delivered and then have to fight just to get the issue resolved. The way this has been handled has been incredibly disappointing. I'm posting this in hopes that maybe someone will call us back and finally help us settle this!

When I have tried to contact a manager or someone in the corporate office I am getting no response and no action. I have called emailed texted with absolutely no response. The Jim has billed me for over $400 of unauthorized charges and refuses to refund me any money. Crunch fitness corporate office has no public point of contact. These people are scammers and are intentionally structuring cancellations so that they can continue to charge you unauthorized charges beware!!

I am writing this review to formally document ongoing mismanagement, lack of accountability,…read moreimproper billing practices, and unprofessional conduct at the Crunch Fitness Pottstown, PA location. Nearly one year ago, I was explicitly informed by the former General Manager (Cam) and an employee known as "Bunny" that I would be issued a refund for three out of five personal training sessions I purchased. This refund was promised due to the club's failure to notify or communicate with me when my assigned personal trainer was terminated. Despite this clear agreement, no refund was ever issued. Over the past year, I have made repeated attempts to resolve this issue and have been consistently ignored, redirected, or avoided by staff and management. Most recently, the current General Manager claimed there was "no documentation" of the original refund agreement. I requested escalation to the Regional Manager at that time. It has now been two weeks with no follow-up or communication, further demonstrating a systemic lack of professionalism and accountability. Rather than resolving the matter, the newer General Manager Paulie attempted to persuade me to "donate" my unused training sessions back to the company so other members could use them. This suggestion was inappropriate, unethical, and unacceptable, particularly given that these were paid services and the refund obligation remains outstanding. This proposal appeared designed to benefit internal staffing issues rather than honor commitments made to a paying member. To further compound this issue, I canceled my membership today and was forced to pay an additional $31.99 for another month before my cancellation could be processed. This resulted in yet another charge that I should not have been required to pay and adds to the growing amount of money being wrongfully retained by this company. This experience has significantly increased my frustration and reinforces a clear pattern of poor billing practices and disregard for member concerns. Beyond these financial issues, the overall operation of this location is deeply concerning. The facility is frequently dirty, poorly maintained, and contains machines that are regularly broken or out of service. Employees routinely congregate, socialize, and remain on their phones instead of maintaining the gym or assisting members. Groups of individuals -- sometimes including staff -- occupy workout machines without using them, preventing other members from accessing equipment. Additionally, I personally overheard multiple personal trainers openly complaining about their compensation and dissatisfaction with pay inside the locker room, in front of members. This behavior is highly unprofessional and reflects poor leadership and a lack of workplace standards. This location demonstrates a clear and ongoing pattern of: - Failure to honor financial commitments - Improper and questionable billing practices - Lack of documentation and accountability - Ignoring escalation requests - Unprofessional staff conduct - Inadequate facility maintenance I am requesting immediate corporate review and resolution, including reimbursement of all wrongfully charged amounts, confirmation that my membership has been fully canceled without further charges, and an investigation into the management practices at this location. This situation has gone unresolved for far too long and should never require this level of escalation.

Warning ‼: Crunch Fitness Is a Scam - Hidden Fees & Shady Practices…read more Review: I want to share my experience to warn others who are thinking about joining Crunch Fitness. A few weeks ago, I signed up for a membership. I went in, filled out the form, and everything seemed fine -- until I realized the gym wasn't for me. I decided to cancel shortly after. The problem? Even after trying to cancel, they charged me $70 for an "annual fee" (something that was never clearly explained) and two separate charges of $17 for membership dues -- even though I wasn't using the gym and thought I had canceled in time. When I called, they told me the cancellation was too late and that these charges were part of "company policy." The staff was cold and unhelpful, and it felt like I was being blamed for not reading the fine print -- even though nothing was clearly communicated when I signed up. Crunch is not transparent. They have hidden fees, unclear cancellation policies, and they take advantage of new members. It honestly feels like a trap. My advice: Think twice before signing up. Ask very specific questions. Read every line of the contract. There are better gyms out there that treat people with honesty and respect. Union deposit road

Initially, after my workout I was just going to ask for the gym Manager's information to simply convey my thoughts on several improvements they can stand to make. As there were no paper towels in any of the holders, which happens more often than not, I figured I would raise this on the spot. I noticed several others frustrated when going back and forth between machines, trying to be good stewards of cleanliness. And when I did mention it to the AGM, he responded by blaming the "supply chain." This may very well be true, however, there is no possible way management thought that bath tissue on top of the machine was the best option for replacing the paper towels. Especially to clean equipment. And then no sooner than I returned to my equipment, rolls of paper towels just started to appear. Funny how that happened. But it doesn't end there.  It was, in fact, another patron who thanked me for raising the paper towel concern, before he stated "not that it matters because it is water in those bottles anyway. I have been complaining about it for months, on Google Reviews and everything, but no one has responded. I just gave up." Can you imagine my disbelief when hearing such a claim at such a reputable establishment, with the awareness of what the consequences could potentially be to that negligence? Especially in this day and age, which I will simply leave there. The amount of liability alone if an outbreak were to occur would shutter this location, as well as Corporate. There was no way this was true. But I had to ask.  So again, I immediately went back to the AGM and asked him about this claim. To which he responded, "let me check on that." Like wtf? You don't know? Upon his return, he stated "oh I think I know what happened. The mixer today must have not worked and so the sanitizing solution wasn't squeezed into the bottles. See, this bottle I have here...you can see the bubbles. That is how you know there is a solution inside." To which I replied, "and how would anyone know that? We trust what the bottles say, "Light Sanitizer," but when I sprayed this on the paper towel and on my hands, no scent. Not even a hint. I could literally lick this off my hand and not get sick, this literally has nothing in it. So, you're telling me all of these bottles are water? And that none of this equipment was cleaned today?" His response, "Well, not this morning, apparently." And with the slightest sense of urgency. And who even knows if that was the truth? Like, how long has this been going on? Especially when you meet someone who has been complaining on this exact same issue for a while. There is no way this was a shock to anyone there.  I am utterly disgusted at this negligence, and you all should be too. Consequences and accountability must be administered. As a 100% disabled Veteran, please know this was absolutely a trigger. Did we learn nothing from COVID? And respectfully, one month free does not cut it. I didn't even ask for that. I simply wanted to be able to disprove that man's theory and trust that just the basics are performed when working out. Is that too much to ask? See below for aforementioned recommendations: -Have business cards available for management, not post-it notes. -Have different channels on televisions. -Have more hand sanitizer stations that have solution in them. -Have staff hang a physical copy of the day's classes on the door. -Have staff hang a clock and hooks outside the sauna. -Have staff add a small bench in women's sauna to expand seating. -Have staff turn the sauna when opening and check throughout day.  -If there are no paper towels, please place a sign on the holder. And don't insult us with anymore toilet paper, please. -And make sure there is actual sanitizing solution is in each bottle daily, with someone's initials on the bottle so that patrons can believe it was actually done! Just ridiculous. Do Better.
