As you entered the event their were drummers from China, girls showing their Indian saree dresses, Indian music and there were foods from nearly every country. As all fund raising events go there were speeches , silent auctions, lots of spicy Indian foods and a lot of well dressed people to see. Among the highlights of the events were the Flamingo dancers from the Orange Coast community college. Sahara provides support, housing, legal help for women who suffer from domestic abuse.

The park has a dirt track that's wide enough so that people can shuffle or sprint here without interfering with one another. The trees and plants are also gorgeous, and there are signs everywhere explaining why these particularly (local) species were selected and how the local watershed works. There are large concrete benches/stairs on the southern end of the track, so there's plenty of space to sit and watch even if you're not joining your exercising friends. The community center looks cool, and there's a Little Free Library out front that I like to use. It's so random that this is here!
