This was such a FUN and delicious food tour in Cabo San Lucas!…read more We loved Miguel, our guide. He was entertaining and educational, and kept us moving at a decent pace. He was clearly passionate about Cabo San Lucas, about the history, the restaurants he introduced us to, and the food. There were 11 of us total on the tour, which was a good number. The tour lasted almost three hours total: 2-2.5 hours of the food tour and a little over 30 minutes of the tequila tasting. We made about 6 (7?) total stops, all of which were close to one another so there is walking but honestly not a lot of walking. Still: wear comfortable shoes, as there is some standing. We ate lots of different types of tacos, chilaquiles, burritos, ceviche, ice cream and churros. Come hungry! I loved almost every single thing we ate, and also really loved learning more about the history behind the dishes, how locals eat them vs. how we've Americanized some dishes in the US, and just hanging out in the more local part of town. At the end, there was an optional tequila tasting, which most of us did. I definitely recommend Juan More Tacos for food tours. They have great guides and you get to stop at restaurants that the locals dine in -- not the touristy hot spots. And it's priced well -- such a great value for the amazing experience!

Our tour guide was Juan, who was both professional and super kind & friendly as he led us through the walking tour. We learned about some of the history of Cabo San Lucas and why there is a diversity of food from different regions of Mexico in this tourist-focused town. Most of the shops that we stopped by were in the less-touristy side, away from the Marina, so it was definitely helpful to have Juan's recommendations and local knowledge. Over the course of the tour, we tried: 1) Chips & salsa, followed by sopes with chicken / beef / chorizo options, at Mercabo Gourmet Street Food (the starting & ending point of the food tour) 2) Taco de rajas con queso y crema (creamy roasted peppers) and cabeza (beef head), plus horchata and super-refreshing agua de jamaica (hibiscus tea), at Los Taco May. We were able to pick any taco from the menu that we wanted to try. 3) Birria taco on freshly-handmade tortillas at Taqueria Morelos 4) Stewed marlin and fried sea bass tacos, plus more hibiscus tea and horchata, at Los Claros. We also had several different options here for which taco we wanted to try. 5) Strawberry and soursop sorbet at La Michoacana - this place had so many different flavors of dairy ice creams, non-dairy sorbets, and popsicles. I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted; Juan recommended the strawberry and soursop sorbets, both of which were so refreshing and delicious in the warm November weather and after all of the savory foods that we'd had. 6) Al pastor and shrimp tacos at El Paisa (the most tourist-y spot that we went to; still good though) 7) Churros with chocolate and condensed milk, back at Mercabo Gourmet Street Food - so yummy! 8) Tequila tasting to end the tour, with no obligation to buy (we sampled a few that sounded interesting but did not buy any) Overall I'd highly recommend doing this tour if you have ~3 hours to spare on your trip to Cabo. Come hungry - I was stuffed full by the end of the tacos portion (but of course still had room for the desserts). Shoutout to our amazing tour guide Juan!

I'm another traveler who got completely scammed…read more I booked a Carnival cruise excursion in Mexico that promised a two-hour horseback ride. What we actually got was a disorganized mess--multiple vehicle swaps, pointless delays, and barely under an hour on horseback. The rest of the time? Wasted sitting in transit. No apology. No accountability. Not even the basic courtesy of offering a partial refund. Worse, they tried to gaslight us and say it was only intended to be one hour. Most of my time in Cabo was burned sitting in vehicles instead of doing the one thing I paid for. This wasn't a minor inconvenience--it was outright misrepresentation. Save your money. Book with a reputable vendor. This one isn't worth the risk.

4-Star Review - Rancho Carisuva…read more Great excursion in Cabo! I came here with a couple of friends for a combo of ATV and horseback riding. The shuttle picked us up right from our Airbnb, along with other guests on the same tour, which made for about an hour-long commute. The horseback riding lasted around 45 minutes to an hour, and the same for the ATVs, with a small break in between. We rode through the dusty desert filled with hills and bumps -- definitely added to the adventure -- and finished on a beautiful beach just in time for sunset. Photographers take pictures of you throughout the experience, and you can purchase them at the end (a little pricey, in my opinion). A few of the horses were a bit spirited -- maybe too much for some riders -- but I suppose that's part of the thrill. Overall, this was a fun and memorable way to spend an afternoon in Cabo. I'd recommend it if you want a mix of adrenaline, scenery, and a little dust in your hair.

The trip starts with a brief informational overview of sea turtles, and at sunset we went out to release the babies. It was incredibly moving to see them making their way into the ocean to start their lives. The release at sunset was also beautiful and we were able to get some great photos. The only thing I wish I would have known ahead of time was around logistics. The tour was listed at about four hours. Viator does not indicate most of this is transport. If you are trying to plan your day it is important to note that having a 1-2 hour buffer before the tour start time is necessary to ensure you make the pickup (e.g. our tour started at 4:30, pickup was 3:10). It is also worth noting you will not know your pickup time until the morning of the activity (due to needing to confirm the birth of the babies for release). The transport is not private for each group, so if there are others at different resorts the trip there and the trip home can become extended due to multiple stops. The ranch is isolated, so I'm not sure uber or taxi would be a good alternative. In all, I think we spent more time in the car than we did on the tour itself - but, for us it was worth it to experience the sea turtle release. There are restrooms there, and water - no food though. I recommend bringing snacks and water to ensure you have something for the van.
