Went to Eco Deco Pet Hospital for my pet O'Malley's first Vet visit since we adopted him last month. This is just my second time here, the first time was with Loki, the cat I took care of when my friend went out of the country. Loki was the reason we adopted our own cat. As usual, check-in was a breeze, Alona and Dr. Val checked O'Malley's vitals and recommended tests and gave medications. Thank you for the great service as always!

I had such a pleasant experience here. We are in Florida seasonally. My 16 year old Cockapoo started having problems with in continence. The staff was very friendly , considerate , kind and helpful. Dr. Val was knowledgeable and spent time discussing my concerns. After some blood work and a urinalysis it turns out Maggie is doing pretty well for her age, but perhaps in the beginning stages of kidney disease. He prescribed a renal support dog food that she actually loves! Two days later no accidents and she's eating well! Contrary to some of the reviews I read he did not order any extensive testing or treatment. I love that they show you a treatment plan and are open to discussion about what you may want or not want to do for your pet. I did not feel any pressure. I would highly recommend this practice!

We loved our first appointment, especially the fact that we tried to break in to the cabinets in the exam room and it has been forgiven (picture for reference). Jokes apart the team is amazing! My cat was well taken care of and there were no surprises. Everything is discussed and priced appropriately before the treatment and staff is very knowledgeable.

Had an emergency with my dog and they said I could come in right away. Although I did have to wait an hour to be seen, I greatly appreciated that they did take me and were very nice. The doctor was great and so was reception. They even showed me that I could do a google review to get a bigger discount (versus yelp promo). The place was super clean and they decorated it super cute. Would recommend this pet hospital.

For as horrible of a situation like saying goodbye to your doggie, Eco Deco has been so caring & supportive. Every person there is knowledgeable and shows empathy. Thank you for helping me through this rough process with my baby Hershey, all your kindness is appreciated.

I saw that VCA changed locations (no more death defying parking lot!) so I decided to give them another shot. One of my cats was having trouble breathing due to a possible upper respiratory infection. I called VCA and they had no appointments that day but told me I could bring him in and they would see him when a vet had a break in appointments. Parking was a breeze; there is an attached garage that charges something like $2/hour after the first 15 minutes, but I got a street spot right in front. The new facility is large and sparkling clean. Front desk staff was friendly and on point (another issue I had in the past, so kudos to them for fixing that issue!). After the initial intake, a vet tech came out and talked with me before taking my baby back to await the vet. I went home as they estimated ~2 hours before he could be seen. Right on time, Dr. Funk called and we discussed the issue and treatment. I picked him back up at the end of the day and was very pleasantly surprised that an antibiotic injection, time with oxygen and two turns in the nebulizer was $160! That was a lot of high quality vet care for not a lot of money. The vet followed up the next day via text, which was great. My problems with VCA in the past had been the parking, the front desk staff and the long response time from their vet staff. The "new and improved" VCA seems to have addressed all of these issues, so I am happy to bring my pets back here!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience was disappointing…read more I brought my dog in twice for a persistent itching problem. Each visit resulted in treatment and charges, yet neither treatment resolved the issue. After spending both time and money, I ended up reviewing the medical records I had previously provided from my dog's former veterinarian and found the medication and dosage that had successfully treated the problem in the past. What was especially frustrating is that this clinic already had those records. Once I requested the previous medication, my dog finally began improving. The final straw came when my 15-year-old Chihuahua stopped eating and needed to be seen urgently. I called hoping for a same-day or semi-emergency appointment and was simply told there were no appointments available. No accommodation, and very little concern for a senior dog in distress. They refered me to another vet, which actually worked out. They will be my new vet. My overall impression is that this practice feels more like a large chain operation than a veterinary office focused on personalized care. The staff may be busy and doing their jobs, but I never felt the level of attention, compassion, or follow-through that I expect when entrusting someone with my pets' health. Very busy, no care. I wanted to be a long-term client, but after these experiences, I chose to seek care elsewhere.

Problem is he suggests I get Advantage for ticks and fleas and that is a preventative. My dog needed to kill all existing fleas and eggs. As soon as I arrived, something felt "off". Dr. Duggan examined Iago for MAYBE 3 minutes before claiming that he was "perfectly healthy." I mentioned that the shelter had tested him for worms and my concern seemed to have gone in one ear and out the other because he didn't even address the issue. Instead, he eagerly showed me right to the register where I was charged $80.00 for 3 minutes of his time. Ridiculous. Two days later, Iago had not eaten more than a couple mg of canned food and was extremely lethargic so I called another vet-- Brickell Animal Hospital. They saw me that same day, agreed that Iago needed further testing and gave me medicine and a syringe to nurse him to health. Sure enough, he was positive for worms, has since been treated and is now healthier than ever. It was evident that Dr. Duggan and Bay Road Animal Clinic cared more about my wallet than my animal, as I never head from them again--I never even got the call they promised as a reminder for the next appointment. Unbelievable. Avoid this place if you're looking for a veterinarian that truly cares about your pet's health.

They are "superheros" of…read morethe veterinary World, immediately jumping into action, sizing up a problem and taking decisive actions with a strong sense of urgency to save our precious little animals everyday. Recently my 4, 1/2 year old french bulldog, Max, had a heat stroke, caused by heat and humidity (while riding in an air-conditioned 70f car) and complicated by his panting heavily and getting even more overheated internally. I was at a point of desperation. While Max was increasingly getting worse, I was ready to panic! I called The Pet House Animal Clinic and spoke to Alexandra. I immediately knew, based upon her response ("bring him in right away!"), that my little Max was going to be in the best of hands. Almost directly across the street from where I live, I arrived in minutes, and Alexandra immediately prepared a room, and to my amazement, the entire team moved into action, resembling a high-intensity emergency room in any major hospital! As a corporate organizational development consultant in Fortune 500 companies, I have worked with many good teams and senior level officers. However, on this day, I was most impressed with the high level of exemplary professionalism - the teamwork, communication, focus, problem-solving (i.e., testing, assessment and evaluation) and decision-making. This team sized up the problem quickly, and began treating Max for heat stroke right away. I was very happy to be allowed to remain in the treatment room with Max while treatments were being done. And, Alexandra was there the entire time to let me know what was being done. I felt a strong sense of commitment by Dr. Garcia and the entire staff, to provide Max everything he needed to survive. And, after working together for 5, 1/2 hours with continuous treatment and monitoring, Max was more stable, but not out of the woods. The concern was whether complications could develop. Max was transferred to the Veterinary Emergency Group - VEG, Animal Hospital, with whom The Pet House Animal Clinic has a strong partnership with. Upon arrival, I was impressed again with the level of urgency (thanks to Alexandra's call in advance) to get Max the help and support he needed while being closely monitored 24/7 by any number of veterinarians, nurses and technicians. I had a level of confidence in knowing that Max's life had been saved by The Pet House Animal Clinic staff, and now I felt a little more relieved knowing that he was in a place where he would receive the best care possible. Alexandra called VET that evening to follow-up on Max's condition. She then called me with an update with details on his condition and prognosis. Her words were very realistic, yet gave me a level of comfort in knowing that Max was where he needed to be. For the following four days, while Max was in the VET Hospital, Alexandra called VET to get information on Max's continuing treatment and progress. Again, Alexandra's manner and style of communicating the facts, along with a level of genuine care, concern and compassion helped me immensely, even though I was still very worried. Although I visited Max everyday, I never felt as though I was left on my own, when Alexandra's follow-up calls gave me a renewed level of reassurance. Alexandra is extremely energetic and demonstrates a high level of emotional intelligence. She immediately makes a very important human connection and builds a strong relationship with a level of compassion that is unsurpassed, and backed up with her actions, which have been most valued and appreciated, every step of the way. Two days after Max returned home, he had a follow-up appointment with the impressive Dr. Eduardo Garcia, and the rest of the amazing staff - Andres, Eric and Alexandra. Again, I was very impressed with the level of professionalism, communication and teamwork. And, I felt a very strong sense of confidence in knowing that Max was truly in the best of hands. And, he was. Dr. Garcia examined Max and assessed his condition. He gave me the facts realistically, and advised what I would need to do after Max returned home. Alexandra was careful to verbally explain, and write (in detail) how I was to administer each of Max's medications. I did exactly what I was instructed to do. Within a few days, Max was back to his old self again, with a daily routine of active eating, playing and providing lots of joy! I cannot say enough for everyone at The Pet House Animal Clinic. They saved my precious little Max, and I am eternally grateful to everyone there who provided him with the prompt attention, care, compassion and treatment he received. I thank each one of you from the bottom of my heart. I know you believe you are just doing your jobs, but trust me, each one of you clearly demonstrates a level of knowledge, skill and expertise, combined with a commitment to providing the absolute best care for your client's pets!

The only reason I will give this place even one star is the staff. The staff is great and they seem…read moreto really care about your pets. Now let me tell you what happened to Maddie. She was a French Bulldog. Sweet, but had terrible skin lesions, sores all over her body, especially around her anus and genitalia which made her aggressive sometimes because she was in pain. She also had terrible seizures, which would last for a minute or so and then continue sporadically throughout the night. The doctor (a young, 30-something man) said it was allergies and sold us a huge amount of specialty food that (shocker) you can only get from him. Of course we were willing to pay. We have 3 kids. This is our dog. The seizures continued. Doc wanted to do an $800 brain scan on the dog. We actually took videos of the seizures and showed them to him to prove her condition. Nope. He WOULD NOT PRESCRIBE her the seizure meds without an $800 brain scan. We cannot afford that. We told him that. Too bad. Months later, she had her final seizure. It lasted for what seemed like forever. Took her across the street to the vet. This was Friday evening. He said "We are closed, but take her across town to a specialty clinic because her kidneys are shutting down". Well we couldn't do that because we don't have a million dollars. So we took her home and did the best we could until morning. Hydrated her, hoping she would recover. Suddenly, blackness, like coffee grounds, came out of her body mixed with blood. I took her back to the vet. He said "She's dying. I told you to take her to the emergency clinic and we are closing for the weekend." I'm panicking. I call an Uber and wrap Maddie in a blanket and stand outside waiting for the car to bring us to someone who can help her. Doctor WHATEVERTHEFUCK comes outside, NOT to check on Maddie, but to polish his BMW SUV with a freaking hand cloth. Doesn't even look me in the eye as I stand there weeping with my dog in a cart waiting for my Uber. Polished up his pretty little car and walks right back inside. No eye contact. We are in the Uber. Maddie seems sick but I'm holding and rocking her and crying and I think it might be ok. Holding her on her back like a baby, swaddled in a blanket. 6 minutes into a 30 minute drive she starts gasping. My cat died in my arms once. I know what's coming. I hold her tightly and talk softly to her as she gasps her last breaths. Her body jerks spastically and then shudders to a halt. I tell the Uber driver to turn around and take us home. He does so and when we get to our building, the driver gets out and tells the valet that my dog just died. He understands. They are both visibly upset. I leave a big tip for the driver who had to deal with this and I carry Maddie out of the car, wrapped in a blanket, and sit on the front steps of our building, in a state of minor shock. Her body relaxes and releases a torrent of bloody urine on the steps of our home. I'm weeping. All because this "vet" who is supposed to care about animals would not give my dog seizure medication, even with video evidence of the seizures, without an $800 brain scan. This was 5 days before Christmas. We have 3 kids. Our family dog died at Christmas so that this guy can go out and polish his BMW while watching her suffer. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Please be aware this place preys on your desperation with the final objective of ripping you off…read more Yes, I am definitely mad an angry for how we an our pet were treated at this place, and now, after a week of the incident, calmed and with my dog fully recovered, I wanted to share our experience and provide evidence supporting my claims. Of course, before writing this review, I made a formal complaint through DBPR who is supposed to investigate and provide licenses for these establishments. Hope they look into this. Anyway, we came to this establishment (VEG ER for Pets) to bring our dog that just had a small leg injury. Without even checking the pet, the dog was needled for IV and was applied different pain medicines without any consultation. Several procedures took place thereafter including X rays and so (again, without consultation). At this stage, no veterinary had yet even look at the dog's leg. A veterinary came to us after a while with a long list of procedures the dog was being subjected to, and that we had to approve and pay in advance in order to continue. Different doctors and nurses at the establishment explained to us many absurd things that could be happening to our dog from a massive internal bleeding, to spinal cord fracture just to name a few. They have not even examined the leg yet, and actually never did. Since we were reluctant to sign the approval for the procedures they wanted to carry out, they left us alone clearly knowing that we were nervous and worried about all the unfounded diagnosis they have shared with us (clearly meant to generate fear). We decided to take our dog and leave, not before after they made us pay them $600 without any clarity under what basis were they charging this. I can certainly probe that all the procedures this establishment wanted to carry out were unnecessary and were meant just to increase the bill. That same night we left VEG ER for Pets with our pet and went to another veterinary where our dog was cured and treated completely differently for the same injury. The list of procedures at this establishment is completely different. The doctor quickly cleaned and look at the wound upon arrival, no IV was necessary though they did administer some medicine and did a X Ray to ensure everything was OK. In contrast, the list of procedures from VEG includes so many items that were total unnecessary and unfounded. Below, just a few of the things that appeared in VEG's list: Laceration Repair E-collar Peripheral Catheter Penrose Drain Lactated Ringers And there were so many more blood tests and medicines that the list is 3 pages long, while in the other establishment is just bandage, some medicines, x rays and that is it. I have shared the two establishment's lists of procedures with DBPR's officers for the investigation.
