The staff here are hands down the best! Located off of Gessner near Richmond in a one story brick building. Plenty of parking. Checkin was easy & before long H took his "no-feelz" pill to knock him out. They provide a large room for the patients & guest to wait. The patient is placed in a recliner until they are ready to be taken back into the back where the magic happens. After nodding off H had to be wakened & taken into one of the operating rooms. Once he was settled I went back to the waiting room & since there were no other patients I snagged a recliner. The place is kept cold so wear a jacket & layers. I fell asleep & when woken up someone had put a blanket on me. Awwwww, just like mom used to do. The doctors are specialists & know what they are doing. They do their job really well & H is headed in the right direction for oral health. After receiving after-care information I pulled the car up front so they could wheel H out. Last week I search and read SO MANY REVIEWS, and naturally I pay close attention for the bad one, but Dr. Herbst office had nothing but great reviews. I had my first appointment this morning, and before walking in I already knew how much I would be expected to pay. The transparency of serving and pricing was so comforting. The Staff is just all around welcoming, and professional. They knew what they were doing and they definitely enjoyed their job - I could tell by their energy at 8:30am in the morning! Dr. Walding was great and walked me through everything he was doing and what he would want to do next. I truly left his office understanding both the treatment and also the financial responsibility I have. I had extreme trepidation of just the thought of seeing another dentist as I had no idea of what to expect in terms of treatment. I had put off getting the work done for 2 years for that reason. From the first visit I felt a sense of complete trust and comfort with Dr. Brownfield. Her professionalism was everything I expected but it was her genuine care and concern about me as a patient that won my heart. Her staff was no different - everyone I interacted with gave the care that was beyond anything I have experienced. Both Dr. Brownfield and her staff took the time to explain what was needed and gave me time to share my concerns. That level of care was genuine and I knew I was in good hands. On my last visit my CT scan revealed a very severe sinus infection so Dr. Brownfield recommended I see an Ear Nose & Throat doctor asap. I had a gum graft done and Dr. Bealka actually had gotten even more coverage than he had expected on my gum. Once I couldn't figure out the retainer they give you to help shield the roof of your mouth and I called and one of the staff members stayed on the phone helping me figure out how to get it back on. I was so impressed by how helpful they all were. On the day of my surgery the medicine I took made me feel icky and they made sure to take good care of me and later Dr Bealka called me to make sure that everything was going okay. I really appreciated the extra time he took to check on me before the surgery and after. I would definitely recommend this place for any periodontal work for both the actual work and bedside manner.
