Back when this was DAV, I used to find so many things for my home as well as cute purses and clothes at fair prices. I've noticed that since the store has become Eco Thrift, the pricing has gotten completely unreasonable for me. I went in yesterday to browse around for knick knacks and purses and they had bags that were in such poor shape listed for $59.99 just because they were brand name. They had some scarves hanging up from the Dollar Tree for $5.99 when they are $1.25 brand new at the Dollar Tree. I realize not everyone knows that but I would hate to see someone purchase one only to see they could've had 4-5 for that price from the Dollar Tree. I think if you're able to catch some of the colors of the week (they have 25, 50 and 75% colors) you may walk out with something that is a reasonable price but otherwise I recommend you check out some of the other thrifts and save your time. read more

We like coming on Tuesdays for the 30% discount. Everyone is friendly. I like how things are set up too.

Love the selection and they have cute stuff. The prices are on the higher end but the store is clean and kept up!

They use Google lens to price most things probably, they only care about the brand name of items for the most part and they can get pretty expensive, like up to 150$ for some jackets that aren't nearly worth what they cost. Workers are always attentive and nice though, so that's good Every now and then you'd find a great item at a great price, but yall really should stop using Google lens for pricing, it's pathetic. Put a little more effort into inspecting items and price them accordingly to quality, I don't mind that they make the brand name things cost a little more, but people come to thrift stores to find deals. Wow! I can't believe someone managed to destroy the best thrift store in Alvin. Don't confuse the five star ratings on the other reviews with the way things are now. This store use to have everything. Now its just an overpriced used clothing store that I suspect does not help veterans or the community as much as it used to! I LOVE this thrift store...I really like their color discounts that they have every day. I've found some really nice items shopping there.

One of the most organized, clean and well stocked thrift stores I've ever been to. We were in League City for lunch and decided to hit up a few thrift stores in the area. This one had great reviews and I'm so glad we checked it out. After hitting up the absolute disaster that was Dirt Cheap, this was a respite! Everything was so organized and there was no JUNK. They only stock the good items and we found some really cool vintage chili and soup bowls that I'm sure are worth more than they sold them for but wow - I'm so glad to have them! This store USED to be just awesome when it was DAV and like another reviewer is claiming: It is just a ruined mess now that it has been taken over by EcoThrift! Prices are through the roof for donated items nowadays. Might as well just buy it new for what they are asking for things. They are trying to make it appear like a Ross looking store with old used stuff. If you are looking for a bargain, go anywhere else but here. read more

When I go to thrift stores its usually to buy "stuff". Dishes, lamps, art, books, stuff. I can't comment on the clothes but the DAV Thrift Store has great stuff! I find Pyrex, mid-century looking lamps, tacky 1970's needlepoint art, and once a vintage snoopy telephone. Great little thrift store to find cool, cheap stuff. read more
