We purchased a 4 carat diamond ring online from zales.com in a size 8. When it arrived it was too…read moresmall. I used my ring sizer to check the size and holding it flush to the ring sizer as you should and the ring is a 7-3/4. I took it into this zales to have the correct size and was forced to either pay for the warranty to have the correct size or return it. The lady helping me claimed it was a size 8 by bending the ring against the sizer instead of holding it flush and said larger rings are not going to size the same as small. However your finger does not bend that way at a slant. I think if i bought a size 8 ring which is the same size we have bought the last 2 times we bought our wedding set at zales it should fit the same and not be forced into buying a warranty in order to get what i paid for. This is the last ring we will ever buy from zales. It's insulting to have someone sitting there telling me it's the size i ordered when it doesn't fit my sizer or theirs the same as my original 2 rings do. That warranty is more important to sell than taking care of your customers and doing what's right.

I was in the store with my brother after raving how great Zales was and she walks over to the "cleaning section" to then continue to tell me "isn't your ring up to date, didn't you say it was fine", I then replied "Can you check in the system?" She then replied "didn't you say it was up to date and didn't need a cleaning" and I'm so confused as to why she is HOLDING my ring still and asking me if my stuff if up to date when I provided the necessary info for her to check for me in the system and didn't think this made me ineligible for a cleaning... I just finally say it's okay I'm not interested in anything else anymore, we're we able to clean the ring.. YALL .. she hands me back my ring WET and cold after she DIPPED IT IN SOAPY WATER.. i watched her dip it in dawn dish soap and when i asked "uhhhh did you clean it????" She said "oh the cleaning machine is broken"... It just disgust me that I allowed her to even touch my token of appreciation my spouse gave me after the attitude and ugliness in that store. She could have just told me the machine was broken and we wouldn't have stayed to deal with the ugly stuff. We left and went to the baybrook store in the mall 1000% time better service and people were much more helpful.
