The rooms aren't bad at all. The bed is comfy. I mean like all hotels it could use updating. They're not doing breakfast right now but there are Door Dash options. However, the pool is sorely lacking. If you're a larger person, the chairs aren't really stable enough. They're the cheap Dollar General chairs. I stacked two together and was able to balance myself fairly comfortably but there is no soaking up the sun. Also, there is only a ladder into the pool. They have a pool lift but who actually wants to use that. Having gradual stairs that someone who doesn't want to be in the water all the way or can't use the ladder would be more accessible for the disabled. I came back to edit my review. 2 stars. Cable doesn't work. The wifi is terrible. I'm better off using phone data. We asked about the cable and they blamed Comcast without even looking at the box. read more

Hotel review: 1/5 The line was out the door for check in. Though we had pre-booked our stay, it took about 30-40 minutes for us to get checked in. When we got to our room, there were no bath towels. We went back and asked for some, and they said they would bring them. We called the office about two and a half hours later, as they still hadn't brought them. The lady said she was cleaning the pool and would bring them afterward. She never did. When we got ready to go to bed, we realized that the second bed had no comforter. We went back to the office and no one was there, though the sign said that the check-in is monitored 24 hours a day.. We called and someone picked up and hung up. We called again and no one answered. So we had to sleep with just the sheet. We went back up again this morning to tell them we still had no towels or comforter. They gave us pool towels, as they were out of bath towels. They brought us the comforter an hour later. It was unwashed and had lipstick stains on it. We asked for a different one, which they said they would bring for our second night. Six hours later, we still haven't received it. The shower curtain has mildew stains on it, and the pull thing to start the shower is broken, so only a small trickle comes out of the shower head. The security door on the side of the building is propped open 24/7 and will not shut. Room 303 and the rest of the property really need some attention. The website said that they have a continental breakfast, but this morning the gal at the front desk said they do not serve breakfast. You should update your website to say no continental breakfast, and to say that your front desk is NOT monitored 24 hours a day, because no one was there from 9pm to 6 am. Also update it to say no wi-fi. We will NOT be staying in the Greeneville Econolodge next time we are in town. read more

Surprised?! I happened to marry an asthmatic and my parents have 8 cats, so whenever I come to visit them in Greeneville, we have to stay in a hotel. Some of the other more reputable hotels are nice but double the cost of Econo. At the risk of a mold/allergy meltdown we decided to give it a shot. We were given a bottom floor room in the main lobby. It was pleasantly quiet! The room was obviously worn, dim lighting, but in decent shape. Very comfortable beds! There was a modly smell that lingered in the room but other than causing some sniffles, there was no major effects. The shower head (minor detail, but worth sharing) made for a very refreshing shower- great water pressure. The continental breakfast was standard (cereal, eggs, biscuits, breads, and pastries). As long as you're expecting a no frills 2.5 star hotel quality, you won't be disappointed. The Greeneville Econo Lodge provides a roof over your head, a good night's sleep, and a refreshing shower. One complaint: the first night of our visit the night manager was SMOKING in the LOBBY. For reals dude? The door outside is another 20 feet away. read more

Whenever in Greeneville we stay here. Can't beat the price. Great breakfast and the staff is really nice. Obviously an older property in need of remodeling. WiFi is slow and spotty the farther your room is from the office. Don't get a room on the exterior glass enclosed sections. All of the ac/heaters vent into the enclosed hallways making them 1000 degrees. All things considered not a bad place for the $! read more

My husband and I stayed at the Greeneville, TN EconoLodge on October 10th, 2019. We were originally given room 239, and when I went inside it smelled musty, the sheets were clean but stained which leads one to wonder what it is that's on the sheets. The door leading to the next room was not flush with the door jam and yet still locked, however, it made us uncomfortable because you never know if someone can open it. We changed rooms to 243. It smelled better, and we already paid a non refundable $15 pet deposit so we took the room. Once we unloaded our belongings we easily noticed this rooms defects. The walls are falling apart, shower might be clean, but the tub mat was filthy so who even knows (we wouldn't use it), tape on the wall near bathroom from someone buying new clothes or something (I bought some, but my trash went in the actual trash), again the sheets were stained (with who knows what, but it's gross and we had a hard time getting to sleep being on top of the comforter.) the rugs are dirty and the tile in the hallway was loose and dangerous, our door to the room didn't shut tight unless we were inside and able to lock it and put a bench against it, the roof is falling apart right over where the cars park, and people walk. There are no lights in the parking lot at night. This was scary. The pool is half drained and we were told it's ready for winter already. The room between 239 & 243 had a bad ceiling leak in the hallway. We got up first thing in the morning and I couldn't leave fast enough. We didn't even stay for the free meal (honestly didn't trust it). Originally I tried to book online at the EconoLodge website. The price for our room was $55 a night. I couldn't figure out how to do it so I just waited until I arrived. Upon arrival I gave the clerk my husbands veterans card for the discount she said they offered. The room rate ended up being $55.09 a night. (So, no discount?) I can say that the staff are genuinely friendly. That was the only good point I can mention. This hotel needs new management, a total remodel for general safety, and shut down during the remodel! We were uncomfortable, and felt gross the entire night we stayed. I don't know who is putting the good reviews in here for them, because this hotel does need serious maintenance. We don't know anyone at this hotel, nor are we trying to be malicious. I am reviewing so others won't have to go through this. I do hope they repair this hotel so it will come back to the level of reviews some are leaving. Thank you read more

I was so surprised when I entered the lobby, not your average motel lobby. Love that the outdoor pool is in the center of the motel, just had to request a room that bordered the pool. With one of those coupons out of the Hotels coupons book, the price was very reasonable. Clean room, firm mattress...even a couch, plenty of towels (ice machine not working, the fridge will work for now. Not enough outlets if you got lots of stuff to charge, but that is normal for your average price motel room. The best thing is you can cross the street to a great fun restaurant bar called the Hyperion Grille. read more

For the value, this hotel was a good choice. I cannot say enough about the excellent customer service we received from Carole and Cathy in particular. This is an economy hotel - so expect that. But we were treated well and would stay again. read more

Please note this review is 7/29-30/2015. This is an old Clarion, it is currently being rebranded as an EconoLodge. The chain has down graded it. It is apparently under new management. I will give them credit, they are really trying, but if they were up and running on all cylinders it would be a 2.5 at best. The trouble is I'm on my third room and I've just given up. First the Pros; It's clean and Patti and Amanda are the front lobby staff and really try hard! That's it for the Pros. The Cons; Room #1 #259 no air, it's summer in Tennessee. 95+ degree today, no air on when I arrive in the room. I turn in on, no biggie, 1:20 hour later still 85+ in the room call front desk, no problem, let's move you to #257, move #2. Great! Go down, get the key, come back, rooms cool, but beds are stripped and room is unmade. Call Amanda, no problem we will move you to #267, move #3. Move all my stuff, room is 80 degrees and the unit is turned off, okay this may work, turn air on it's currently 1:21am EST and it has cooled to 79.7 degrees. Cold shower, still hot. Fridge does not work in this room. Pitch the FAT'Z leftovers. TO HOT TO SLEEP, FRUSTRATED AND BECOMING ANGRY. Free Wi-Fi! If you are in the right room. This is being written from my iPhone personal HotSpot, not a happy camper! All that said, and as unhappy as I am, I have to say they seem close to getting it turned around. In town to visit family. Needed a pet friendly / no smoking room. When entering our room the smell was really bad (pet odor). We looked at the bed and there was dog hair on the sheets, half chewed dog bone in floor and the coffee pot and molded crusted coffee on the bottom. The carpet in the room was disgusting. I will say the front desk staff was kind and very apologetic. I would suggest you check the room before you sign any papers. read more
