Since the stadium has closed, I was curious whether the hotel's quality had declined as well. Fortunately, that was not the case at all. The outside of the hotel was clean and well organized, and the lobby appeared to have been recently renovated. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. We were assigned Room 414, and the room was very nice. It had clearly been recently renovated, with the carpet removed and replaced with laminate flooring in the bedroom and tile in the hallway and bathroom. Everything was extremely clean and well maintained. The room included a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer, and clothes steamer. The shower was spotless, and the air conditioning worked great. There was also a new Samsung TV that appeared to be around 55 inches, and the picture quality was excellent. I also took advantage of the breakfast buffet one morning. Fresh coffee was always available, and there was a great variety of food. The buffet included regular and blueberry waffle batter, cooked cheese omelets, sausage links, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, as well as a selection of danishes, toast, muffins, and bagels. They also offered fresh fruit, cereal, and juices. Bottom line, there was something for everyone. The dining area was very nice, clean, and spacious, making breakfast a comfortable experience. Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel. The recent renovations, cleanliness, friendly staff, comfortable room, and variety of breakfast options all made for a very enjoyable stay. It is convenient to the Convention Center and have all the ilmenites I need. The only downsize I have is that the breakfast could be changed a little. It would be nice if they could have bacon at least once during the week, and grits. I do love the apple cider that is available 24/7 and the workers and front office staff are super. I am hooked.

The lobby has plenty of seating that extends to the dining area. Each morning, there is a full breakfast with hot and cold items. We stayed in a king room and were extremely pleased. The bathroom was clean, had plenty of room for personal items, was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, make-up remover towelettes, and lotion as well as 4 towels, 4 hand towels, and 4 washcloths. If there is a need for more supplies, simply call the front desk or use the app to request more. The room was extremely clean. The space is well-designed with ample storage spaces and plenty of places to plug things in. The hotel is located in the downtown area in Gatlinburg. Be prepared to walk up and downhill a little. The AC did not work well I had it down to 60 and awoken sweaty and hot. I assumed I was treated this way because I didn't swipe my card for the room. I'm a platinum elite member and cardholder of IHG anytime we stay, we are over accommodated by staff it makes you feel amazing. HI at Dollywood made sure to treat me less than because of it so I don't quite understand. But I dealt with it. I plan to return to Gatlinburg/PF area but I won't stay at this location at all. It is an older style with the rooms opening to the outside. Even better, I can park right outside my room door. Newport is not a major city so I didn't expect much from the Inn's Internet service. To my pleasant amazement, the Newport Inn has the best Internet I've had at any hotel. There are plenty of places to eat. A Ruby Tuesday and a Cracker Barrel are both within a short walk. A Walmart is just down the road, and gas station across the street I take annual vacations that pass Newport and I'll be staying again next year.
