    Shampoo and conditioner looked used

Website says microwave in the room. I didn't have one and when I went to the front desk, she said: you should have requested one.... The shampoo and conditioner bottles looked used. Some of the breakfast serving tray's didn't have lids anymore. Everybody had to handle the foil to get to the food - sanitary? My bedsheet had holes in it. Website advertises bar and restaurant. They are on the same street or around the block, not in hotel.

These are googled pictures of bed bug bites so you can see what they look like

BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Don't stay here pay extra money to stay somewhere nicer. I got BED BUG BITES from this hotel. I'm shocked this place has a 4 star rating when really the health department should be called on this hotel. Don't bring your kids here or they will get bit. Stay at another hotel or this is what your future holds in store. Spoke with the manager ALI he said he would speak to the owner and he offered no refund on my room which I'm paying $1,000 for 6 nights I ended up paying $820 (no discount) for 5 nights of bed bug bites. I asked ALI if I payed him $1,000 would he sleep in a bed that he knew had bed bugs in them for 1 night??? ( No response from him) He said that he is a heart patient and that I'm raising his blood pressure because I'm bringing this issue to his attention. I saw other guess who are staying in the hotel and let them know to check for bed bugs and bites and he said he would call the police on me. This facility is a joke don't bring your family or kids here as they really do not care about there guest. As a hotel it is there job to make sure the hotel rooms are clean for the guest which they haven't and then offer no help and threaten to call the cops on me for letting other guest know of the issue. I've called the Arlington Health department to let them know of the issue and they are going to send out someone to investigate it. The first night it started out with 2 bites, next day I had 4 I'm up to 7 bites all over my legs see posted pictures. This is a money hungry owner and manager who do not care about people's personal well being. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE WHERE THE HOTEL IS CLEAN AND CARES ABOUT THERE GUEST THIS PLACE CLEARY DOES NOT. Parking is extra, which we paid in advance but then it was on our bill at the end of the stay, so make sure to check if you pay in advance. The pool is small, and when I went it was crowded and parents let their kids just scream their hearts out, so we ended up only staying a few minutes. That's not so much the hotel's fault, but the acoustics really echo and a lot of parents think pools are babysitters and don't even watch their kids. The gym is separated into cardio and weightlifting equipment which is a little inconvenient, especially as only one room had a water cooler, but it has standard equipment. The lobby is spacious if you want to hang out a bit. The price wasn't too bad for a big, comfortable room and only a few train station stops into town. It's a decent option if you want to visit. There are also shops and restaurants in walking distance.

The daily complementary breakfast was tasty and filling. The hotel is within walking distance to the Ballston-MU metro station, a Harris Teeter grocery store, Target, several restaurants and shops. While the pool was closed when I visited, both exercise rooms were open. The laundry room was clean, bright and easy to navigate. I highly recommend this Residence Inn Ballston Arlington Hotel to travelers looking for a relaxing place to call home.

The shuttle to/from the terminal was convenient. The front desk was friendly and efficient. The room was large, extremely clean, and well-appointed - and most importantly, quiet. I appreciated the "quiet in the hallway after 10 pm" sign. There was a large fitness center (shared with the hotel next door) which had everything from cardio machines to free weights/kettlebells to a power rack. The breakfast was well-stocked (and included) but there are tons of coffee and food options within a couple blocks. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat for the price.

Checked in here on a Thursday afternoon for a one day stay which included a banquet at the hotel. Two of the three elevators were out of service, and took 15 minutes to get from lobby to my room. Then from my room to dinner took 10 minutes, then checking out took 10 minutes for the elevator. Food service needs improvement. I ordered a vegetarian entrée. and there was not a single protein-containing item on my plate. Breakfast was abysmal. The only "fruit" available was a bowl of bananas Breakfast pastries were all cellophane wrapped of who knows what vintage. Also the hotel seemed to be teeming with kids, who were noisly occupying the hallways until close to midnight. I am a sound sleeper, but this disturbed the rest of some of my colleagues at the meeting I was in town to attend.

We had already paid for parking, but the gate wouldn't open when we arrived, so we had to stop by the front desk to have our key reset. Thankfully, the staff resolved it quickly. The hotel itself was clean, and the common areas were well-maintained and inviting. We especially enjoyed the free breakfast and the games available downstairs, which added a nice touch for families and guests looking to relax. The rooms were spacious and clean as well. The only downside was that there were a few nails sticking up in our room that we accidentally stepped on multiple times during our stay. We mentioned it to the staff when checking out, and they were apologetic and said they would address the issue. The parking garage was also pretty tight, which made maneuvering larger vehicles a bit challenging. Despite those minor issues, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the friendly service and comfortable accommodations.

The Hyatt Place in Arlington was a wonderful stay. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed wasn't the best hotel bed, but it wasn't horrible. It just felt more like a futon than a bed. What made the stay was the staff. From the hotel clerks, to the kitchen ladies, to housekeeping and maintenance; everyone I met was kind, accommodating and so friendly. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The individual quiches were sublime! Honestly, one of the best hotel stays I've ever had. I wish I still had my photos, but I deleted them after I posted my initial review. Stay at the Hyatt Place with confidence.

This particular one is in a decent location, close to a metro stop and within walking distance of some restaurants not too far away. The rooms are exactly what you'd expect from a Hyatt Place, with the bed(s), couch, mini-fridge, bathroom, etc... Yet my experience here felt a bit subpar relative to my other stays at Hyatt Place hotels. This is mainly because of two minor things. First, I felt my interactions with staff were a bit frustrating. They were perfectly nice and polite, but I feel a bit slow. Upon check in, they asked for a credit card to take a security deposit and I asked them to charge it to the card on file. They either didn't understand or refused. I gave them the same card I had on file. It was the same thing. But that always annoys me and takes up more time than necessary. At breakfast the next day, they rope off the lobby creating a single entry point where they check your name for breakfast. Typically the free breakfast at Hyatt Place hotels is open and you just walk in. While I recognize this method is susceptible to random people walking in to take advantage of the breakfast, having a guest list to check off for such a basic (arguably not even good) breakfast seems a bit uninviting and indeed, time consuming. This is a perfectly fine hotel to stay at when in the area. But compared to the standard Hyatt Place experience, it falls short. Three stars.

Other travelers had recommended it to me, and I can see why. It's a comfortable, modern hotel with a friendly staff that makes you feel welcome. The rooms and common areas are well kept, and the location is excellent. The room was very nice with a large bed, a large headboard, a business area, a lounge, refrigerator and microwave. It has 2 window treatments: 1 for limiting light and one for blocking the light totally. Each of these work with a chain arrangement. It's just steps away from the main Shirlington shops, including restaurants like Busboys and Poets, cafes, and even grocery stores. The whole area around the hotel seems very walkable. It feels like a nice little neighborhood rather than just another hotel strip. The one drawback is parking. You do have to pay, and the garage is about a block away rather than right under the hotel. It's manageable, though, and, I think, the convenience of the area makes up for it. Overall, this Hilton Garden Inn is a really good choice if you're visiting the DC area. The mix of comfort, service, and the nice neighborhood makes it a place I'd gladly recommend to others and hope to return to in the future.
