My parents and I have stayed here several times over the past decade when visiting family up north and have never had such a poor experience as this latest stay. We were kept up until three in the morning due to loud guests in the room next to us. These guests were regularly slamming doors when entering and exiting the room every few minutes, having speakerphone conversations in the hall, and allowing non-guests in and out of the building. Not to mention, the walls are paper thin so we could hear everything they were saying. When we politely mentioned that our neighbors had been disruptive upon checkout, the front desk individual very curtly responded that we should have told them sooner. While we certainly understand this, such a defensive response caught us off guard. Even a simple, "We're sorry to hear that. Thank you for letting us know, though we do hope you'll notify us sooner next time," would have been appreciated. We also shared that there were several vehicles loitering in the lot well past midnight with people regularly exiting and entering the building, to which the response was, "How are we supposed to know who comes and goes." It's clear there is very little regard for guest safety and security which is incredibly alarming. We have since filled out the survey where this was noted, only for the property manager to respond that they don't have any safety issues because law enforcement is nearby (see photo). I understand this is a budget hotel, but such dismissive customer service is unacceptable, especially when legitimate concerns are raised. I dislike writing such poor reviews but I will never be returning here and hope this helps others looking to book a hotel in the area. read more

We chose this hotel because we were in the area for something but there were cheaper options in Marinette just over the state line in WI. It's definitely has a budget hotel aesthetic but more expensive than I would have expected to pay. The decor is outdated in the room we had, but it was very clean. New air conditioner, we thought the mattress and pillows were fine. The front desk attendant also runs a 24/7 tanning salon onsite which was interesting! We came knowing the free breakfast isn't great based on other reviews. They serve it from 6-9am and at 8am on a Sunday, they had several cereals, no milk left (replenished later), the microwave meat breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, pastries, juices, coffee, bagels, etc. Not an exciting breakfast scenario with fresh options but options nonetheless. There's a workout room advertised but we didn't find it and only stayed one night so didn't feel the need to ask. Great view of Green Bay behind the building. Grills, tables. Close to restaurants and gas stations. Police station across the street. We felt like it was a safe area. If needed, we would stay here again! read more

Cheap, but clean and friendly. Definitely not a five star hotel but it was clean the staff was friendly and I felt like it was safe.

The hotel was cleaned. It has a great sitting area at the back of the hotel on the water. The rooms are clean and reasonably priced. The tanning booth/salon gave it a different feel for a hotel. It seemed weird to be attached to the lobby. The room has the toilet right behind the door rather than moved on over where it wouldn't interfere. Fridge was supplied. Breakfast is finished by 9:00 but checkout wasn't until 11. read more

For the view alone they get 4 stars. So pretty. I wish I'd opened the window when I arrived late last night so I'd have know I'd gotten a lakeview window. How gorgeous it was. Me, the night owl, would have woken up early to watch for hours. There was even a nice, albeit unfashionable chair, I could have put in front of it. Sigh. The perils of driving late at night. Standard economy hotel. No frills but nice enough. No elevators for those of you with aches, pains and/or bad knees or hips. Ask for the first floor. There are only two. And the stairs aren't steep. But if you pack a heavy bag and are weak, you will regret a second floor. Haha! The beds actually were nice and firm. A plus after the horror of the last place I stayed. On the other hand, the pillows were way too flat. All the same thickness. Yet two together were just enough to be super uncomfortable. Go figure. It's a little more pricey for an economy motel but the view pays for itself. Staff was nice but not the friendliest. And book via their site. They won't let you have a late checkout if you go through any booking sites. I.e. Hotels.com. Which is owned by Expedia so it comes up as such. read more

The hotel room was alright and the water in the back of the hotel was nice. There are some benches and a deck to relax as well as maybe 2 grills. The issue is there isn't a beach and the shore is rocky. You can walk down and get into the water, but it would have been a much nicer experience if they would just add a small beach in the back. Due to COVID, their breakfast was limited to muffins and danishes. The area is okay and there are a lot of places to eat, especially if you cross over into Wisconsin. read more

The hotel is decent, the staff is nice, the view and location are nice. I wish it was beach front. When you see that it's on the bay, you think beach and swimming. This is not the case. Wish it had access to the water, but all the rocks are in the way. Our room has a fan in the bathroom that makes weird noises when it's not even on. So we listen to what sounds like water dripping all night. I brought coffee creamer assuming the room would have a coffee maker... nope. But it does have a fridge and microwave, which is nice. The room rate was really low, so I'd say it's good for the price. read more

Haven't had the breakfast yet but unless I'm at the JW, usually not impressed anywhere I stay. That being said, was told they recently renovated the place and it is nice and comfy. No cig smell like the other posts described. Hallway and inside the room looked freshly painted, new beds (according to front desk), bath appears newly updated too. Very satisfied. And the price, well.., least expensive place in town. Nicer than some holiday inn expresses I've stayed at. Staff is solid too. View is crazy. Didn't expect that from what I considered a lower tier hotel/motel. Gave it a 5 due to value, staff, cleanliness, comfort and view. read more

Although its supposed to be non-smoking, I don't think they enforce it very rigorously or clean it up thoroughly. Close proxmity to a rail line. Quite a gem in the u.p.! We had a bay view room during our vacation this summer. The hotel is on a relatively busy street, so I was surprised at how peaceful and serene it is in the rooms at the back of the hotel. You cannot hear traffic, only the waves of the bay, and my children spent hours skipping stones. You can't swim in the bay, and there is no pool, but they have a connection with the local ymca about a mile up the street where we could swim and exercise for free by showing our key. There are lots of good restaurants and attractions nearby as well. We were so grateful to find this place, and plan to return next summer. read more

Absolutely great place to stay. Price is great and location is the best. Right on the water of Green Bay. Picnic tables, benches and grills available by the water. Nice very clean new rooms and the beds and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast could be better but it is still included in the room rate. Only went there for coffee. Gave this a 5 star rating because of the staff. Always helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure your stay is pleasant. This is my 4th time staying there. They just newly remodeled the entire hotel and it shows. read more

Very easy on and off the highway. Great restaurant just a few doors down Schloegel's Bay View Restaurant. About 10 minutes from Peshtigo and near shopping. Rooms were updated and clean w flat screens, microwaves and fridges. Lobby was nice and the breakfast area was very spacious with lots of choices. We will be back! read more

We were in Marquette for a funeral, so we were not at the hotel long. I found a deal on hotels.com website, so I can't complain too much because of the price (we rented three rooms at $62/per room). PROS: Right along the highway. Beautiful view of the lake. Friendly office and housekeeping staff. Great price. Wi-Fi Free continental breakfast (we did not try it out due to having breakfast with relatives elsewhere). CONS: We had three rooms at the very end of the building. Perhaps they were previously smoking rooms because they had a VERY strong sent of cigarette smoke. Decor was old...perhaps from the '70s. Hotel was along hwy 41. Convenient, yes; but having to turn left to go into Marquette provided a slight challenge. read more

We stopped by here on the way to Soo Locks. We were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very comfortable, and the area it was located was very open and safe. The view behind the hotel was great, with the bay right there with park seating. Staff was very friendly and informative. Would recommend this place to anyone! read more

August 27th--received notification from BBB that motel has issued me a free night stay at the Econo Lodge in Marquette. LIKE I am going to go to Marquette MI from TN for a free nights stay....I asked for a full refund in my complaint to the BBB. Motel did apologize for it short comings. read more
