Deceiving picture. Looks nothing like the hotel at all
    Jozonnie T.

This whole place is downright unhealthy for anyone to stay at. The tub was rusty, the pool was disgusting, the bathroom toilet didn't work. The manager lied like a rug saying the 4 rooms he showed me were newly renovated which was a complete utter lie. I would never recommend staying here. When I say looks are deceiving this is one of those times. When I brought the problems up as respectfully as possible all he had to say was no refund and okay. Just poor in every way possible.

The worst experience that I ever had with my family, this is ridiculous the owner of this place took us out just because one member of my family have 5 kids and they were under 13 years he was saying that the room was only for 4 people so does she had to get another room and let her kids (8,5,3,1) sleep by their self?? He want us to get another room for them. I told him that if he can give our money back and we can get another place around her because we live 6 hours away and we came here just for a trip. This is ridiculous I understand the room is just for 4 people but they're kids!!!!!! And the only thing I did was open the door and went to the bathroom and that was soooooo disgusting... just please clean those rooms specifically in this time of COVID.....

Horrible!! The only place who had a room...now we know why. The musty odor is like walking into tear gas. This "newly remodeled room" according to the owner had an antiquated AC unit, bathroom exhaust fan that sounded like a freight train, broken shower plumbing and NO HOT WATER AT ALL. Oh but thank goodness there was a safe, ironing board, and 1990's mini microwave....NEVER STAY HERE...camp out at the local Walmart parking lot.

After that awkward stare we confirmed my info and I was given the key to my room. As I walked up the stairs and to my room I slipped in a wet spill and almost fell with all my belongings. Once I got to my room everything checked out and it was all good. However, once I got settled I was having trouble w/ the wifi so I called the front desk and say that. To which he says "Whats the problem with that? There's no room number for the wifi it all works the same" in a rude and condescending tone that I didnt like. I am paying my hard earned money to stay here I would like it if I was talked to and treated nicely but I guess you get what you pay for.‍ I will make sure I never stay here again.‍

As a general matter, I do not recommend looking for middle end hotels in this region. There is not much. Delmarva has many obvious and non-obvious joys, but I would recommend just driving to the beach or wherever else it is you're going in most cases. But you're reading this, so let's say that like me, you found a reason to be in Pocomoke City. I basically set the bar at wanting a comfortably temperature-controlled room to sleep in without any major health and safety issues. I did at least get that. The single small elevator and somewhat dicey exterior with too much trash didn't inspire confidence that this would be any better than the low-end motels I drove past on the way, nor did the hurried check-in I received from someone who was eating dinner. The room itself was comfortable. There were no towels so I had to go get one. The AC unit was loud and was set to the lowest possible setting, but it was at least marginally effective. I didn't have any major issues with noise or any pests. I'll be moving on and would not seek to stay here for any length of time, but my basic needs were met.

Breakfast was delicious, I've never seen a pancake machine, the pancakes were made to order, huge, fresh and delicious. The bacon was crispy, the eggs were fluffy and veggie omelette was great. There were many varieties of cereal, oatmeal and pastries. Of course they had 2 fancy machines for coffee, tea and hot chocolate with all the fixings. The pool area was great, nice and warm, my daughter enjoyed herself. Although I didn't use the gym, it looked decent. Overall my stay was a 10/10. I will stay here every time I visit family in Maryland.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. We generally do not stay at Fairfield Inn properties, but we were able to get a waterfront room last minute on a holiday weekend (and I read several reviews talking about the cleanliness and remodel). It is walking distance to charming coffee shops and a quaint downtown.

The management staff here have no consideration for their patrons. During the COVID-19 pandemic…read morethey posted pictures all over the hotel requiring guests to wear face masks. The photos they chose to use were all of Asian women wearing masks. I know it was not their intent to come off as racist but as an Asian person, I find it upsetting. The subtle implication is that Asians are the cause of the virus and that you should protect yourself from us. When a friend of mine who is also Asian voiced her concerns about how this offended her, the on duty manager promised to remove the signs and reprint them with less offensive selections. The manager then proceeded to leave for the day without fixing it. 4 hours later the new manager on duty refused to take down the pictures and told my friend she would have to wait until tomorrow for the next manager to come back and speak to her. I will never stay at this hotel and I don't suggest you do either. There are plenty of hotel options where the staff is more hospitable and representative of humanity than this one.
