The room was beyond filthy, the floor in the bathroom had water spits all over it - like water in dirt so I wiped the floor with a towel and water - disgusting. I called the hotel 7 times and left a voicemail. I wanted to make sure I could check in late. I told the front desk when I checked in - they didn't need to respond to my voicemail from 5 hours earlier- they said ok! The only good thing is there are no bedbugs. read more

I have no complaints about this hotel ! It's called the EconoLodge now, but the street signs still say Quality Inn leading in from the main road. Little confusing. Room was good - had a mini fridge & microwave. Bedding was better than most hotels of this caliber have. Continental breakfast was where it's at! Fresh scrambled eggs, sausage that was too delicious (thanks for the extra calories lol), strudels, muffins (all super yummy), orange juice, coffee, waffles & fresh fruit. Only downside is that Fox News was the station they chose, but it IS West Virginia. Super friendly staff. Clean rooms! read more

Enconolodge Ripley Wv. We came here for my birthday and it sucked. The front desk gets the 2 stars. If not for her, there'd be No Stars. So as you can see by the pictures, this place is FILTHY, ROOM 124. We were disgusted but we were like meh... we will live, it is better than camping. Went to dinner, came back and the carpet was soaked. Ok, this must be source of the weird smell. We went to talked to the front desk attendent, she put us in a nicer cleaner room. Different bed situation but that is fine. We are exhausted, we traveled several hours, so we could be closer to were we need to be, tomorrow and be well rested. Well, it is 1 am. We are in a better room but there are people having a party in the stairway or something below us, and their voices are beyond loud. They just turned their blasting music off at 12:30 am. This is Ridiculous, I need to be up early. But they are still super loud. At this point, it is 1 am. I called the front desk, she said she'd ask them to quiet down. And they have a little. We are supposed to stay here another night. But I am considering looking for a camp ground. Or throwing my money at anything but another "choice hotel" . STRIKE 2 CHOICE HOTELS. Twice in a row, I have stayed in a dump. This elite membership is worthless. Your hotels were once nice but now I think my money, should go somewhere else. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When I first arrived I found a spider on one of the beds. Then stink bugs. The floor was completely disgusting. The pillows, bedding and towels had very strange stains on them. When I took a shower the tub wouldn't drain and small black hair backed up into the tub. Some black debris was coming out of the corner of the tub wall. The toilet wasn't completely secured to the floor. The chair had crumbs/dirt on it. The next morning when I was checking out I was telling the woman at the front desk. I asked to speak to a manager. Without even saying hello the man yelled at me and said, "you're not getting discount or refund." I hadn't even asked for this. An apology would of been nice. Then started asking for proof of my service dog. When I gave him proof he was then yelling at the woman who worked there. Telling her hurry up and make copies because I needed to leave. I honestly felt so bad for the woman. This owner/manager was a complete a$$hole. Very rude. Would definitely not recommend this place. Ive included some pics. I have taken a work router Ripley for several weeks. The last time I was staying in the Motel there I went to get breakfast when I came back there was an Indian man that to come out of my room and had been rifling through my belongings. Of cource I reported to the main desk and they said they would take care of it. Just last evening I had set my crew to work back there again. That same Indian man threatens my crew that they would get no rooms because their trucks were to big. They will no longer get any of our business read more

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at from the staff to the nasty room to the crooked manager. We get a room at 2a.m go to the room the door wont open. Here she gave us a rook that was already occupied. Where I come from u would get shot for trying to enter someone's room at 2 a.m. Then we finally get a room the room was disgusting hair and poop all over the bathroom. The bed was sitting on the floor. So the next day I check my account they charged my account 3 times. Two 94 dollar charges one at 104. We called to have then fix that and the manager told my wife to get lost. Upon further investigation this hotel has been doing this to alot of people hoping u dont notice the extra charges. Basically stealing your money. A week later we still havent gotten our money back. Almost 300 for the worst room I've ever got. I stayed at the Econo Lodge and I must say I was very disappointed. There was mold in the bathroom, multiple flies flying around, and cigarette burns in the blankets. Initially it smelled like cigarettes when we walked in. However, as the AC turned on about every 15 minutes, the cigarette aroma became even stronger. There was no smoke detector to be seen anywhere. Just the exposed wires on the ceiling from where it used to be. The freezer section in the mini fridge was also completely frozen over. The ceiling above the door was also not connected to the wall. I can't say I'd ever come back to this motel. On a better note the front desk lady was very nice and helpful! read more

This place is horrible, do not stay here. Heck if I had another option I would have taken it. Lets start with when we pulled up there were 20 or so mattresses just sitting outside. We checked in to our two rooms and the one of the rooms was already occupied when we got there. The only other option was a smoking room, which smelled like ass. When we went to go asleep there was a big ass spider in the bed and one of pillows had blood on it. The other room had light fixtures that did not work and only the sheer curtain closed, the blackout curtain did not and the room was right outside of a huge flood lamp for the parking lot. read more

My only complaint is that the hotel staff apparently gave new guests a card key to my room, which didn't work, so the front desk manager was trying to enter my room in the middle of the night! 0 STARS!!! This place could use a complete makeover. Absolutely filthy. We had a reserved room, but when we arrived our room was not ready. It was reserved over a week ago! My husband walked into the room and immediately walked out. Bed had cigarette burns, room smelled like an Ash tray, walls and carpets were nasty, holes in bathroom door, black smudges on walls. It seemed that not one corner of this room was cleaned. Not to mention, that they pulled balled up sheets out of a bucket to make the bed. I have my doubts that they were even clean. Ew. Now, on to the staff... Manager was very rude when confronted about our issues, then proceeded to double charge my dads card for a room that should not have been charged to the card to begin with! Absolutely horrible rooms AND disgusting service. DO NOT STAY HERE!! We reserved two rooms, non-smoking, side by side for our family. We got there and the rooms were on opposite sides. Check in was 3:00 and by 5:30 the rooms were still being "cleaned". My daughter's room was a smoking room with burn holes in the carpet and smelled horrible. When I went to that room to ask why they were 2 1/2 hours late in cleaning, the man literally got into my face and shouted "I said 10 more minutes!!" I told him they were already going on 3 hours late and we've driven a long way. That's when I noticed he and the lady cleaning pulling a ball of wrinkled sheets from a bucket on the cleaning cart and were making the bed with them! It gets better: the young man at the desk was incredibly rude and charged my card THREE times when attempting to do the refund as we refused to stay with them. When shown the reservation on my phone of a non-smoking room, he stated "That's all part of it. You get what you get because we're busy." He was rude, condescending, and generally a little smart ass. My son-in-law had to sternly tell him to just give us our money back and we'd be on our way. The final kick? The dirty, nasty, disgusting looking people who were cleaning the rooms turned out to be JAYPRAKESH PATEL, the owner! They looked like they just crawled out of a dumpster and stood by while the young man at the desk verbally abused us. We went to the Super 8 across town and was treated incredibly well to clean rooms and a very nice man named Daniel. Daniel (a former EconoLodge employee) told us the Patel's couldn't find a cleaning crew that would work for them anymore and were forced to do it themselves. The EconoLodge is known locally as a dive that no one wants to work for. Do yourself a favor and pass this one by...the Super 8 is the same price for a beautifully clean hotel. Be aware that this property is now an Econo Lodge (no longer a Quality Inn). I stayed here (when it was a Quality Inn) in September 2011 (for 1 week) and October 2013 (for 3 nights). My experience in 2011 was great; I stayed in a suite. In 2013, I had a nonworking phone in my room, but the staff replaced my phone. In 2011, they offered computers with Internet access in the lobby for guests, but in 2013, there was no Internet connection in the lobby. I did not have a laptop with me so could not use the WiFi in my room. Breakfast was okay, as I remember. This motel is within walking distance (probably 3-5 minutes) of Jackson General Hospital (Ripley, WV). I would be willing to stay here again. read more

Unfortunately at 10:00pm, we just needed a hotel...next time, we will just keep going! Awful...nothing Quality about it!!! We were on the first floor and the room smelled when we opened the door but did get better after ac was turned on - however, the floor was soaked from previously running the ac - guess that's why they turned it off!! But by the next morning, we couldn't walk over by the desk area without our sandals on. When I turned on the shower, the water shot out in a straight line from the valve thing that you push in to have water diverted from faucet to shower head !!! OMG !!! After a few twists and turns, I got it to stop and I got an OK shower...water was hot, good thing! Bed not bad either...thinking now I should have checked for bed bugs!! Vinyl around sink coming off...just didn't feel like over-all it was very clean. When we complained to the front desk, she just sort of shrugged...not even a discount offered...bad public service ! We told her we would not be favorable on Yelp and she just said she hoped we would at least say the receptionist was good!!!! Was she kidding ??? Hope so! Stay away!
