The staff here is so friendly and the breakfast is better than I've experienced at any other Hampton inn. Biscuits every day, southern style gravy, berry waffles, or chocolate waffles (not both on the same day), it's so good. Housekeeping every other day with full service every fourth. It's good that way. I never had any trouble parking or with construction noises. There are very few spaces in front so you'll need to park out back and either walk around or use your key to get in the building. Some spaces are taken up by construction trailers but I still saw plenty of parking. Price is not too bad, in dollars or points, especially if you book well ahead of time. My room was quiet despite being right next to the elevator, further rooms are likely even quieter. Unfortunately all they had available when I selected my room was right next to elevator on second floor or same room on fourth floor which also had adjoining room. I figured second floor without adjoining room would be quieter and was right. It was fine. All in all a very nice hotel, not much nearby though since this is rural Alabama. Chains and a couple mom and pop shops in downtown scottsboro a couple miles away.

It had been raining so the carpeting was damp. The room keys work sometimes! We went out for the day and when we came back the bed had not been made and they didn't leave any clean towels or washcloths. We had to call the front desk and she brought 2 bath towels. No clean washcloths so my husband walked over in the rain to get them. Received 2 hand towels and 1 washcloth. He was told that was all they had. Our reservation was for 2 more nights, but we cancelled.

She was super sweet, patient, and answered all my questions. The room itself was clean, spacious, and had a comfortable king size bed, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, and LG flatscreen TV. Parking, Breakfast and Wi-Fi are included with hotel stay. My room was quiet and comfortable and I had a good rest before continuing my road trip.

Every staff member we have come across has been friendly and kind. Our room was great and looked updated. The linens were in the room already for the pullout bed (9/10 when we have had a pullout we have had to go to the desk and pick them up at other hotels) We love the amenities. The shower has shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower. Our room has a fridge and coffee maker. The pool area was nice. There is even a grill outside. Breakfast was decent with a mix of hot items, and cereal, muffins, boiled eggs, fruit, grits and oatmeal packets and hot water, juice, and coffee. The Coke machines in the hotel only take cash or change. Not a complaint just an FYI if you need a caffeine fix other than coffee and rarely carry cash. We would totally stay here again. Our king size bed was comfy and came with 5 pillows.

Two levels, outdoor hallways with a pool out back. There's a Hardee's next door, but everywhere else requires driving. Hot breakfast included with the room rate. The Key West Inn is lower-tier for Scottsboro, and I'd stay here if the other places are filled, or if I'm really on a budget. Its popular with the fishermen and hunters including boat parking out back. (There is a prominent sign at the front desk stating that a penalty will be imposed for cleaning fish or game in the rooms. Another note in the room pleads with guests not to use the clean towels to clean or polish equipment.) At least, its better than the shady, run-down motels on Broad St. in town.
