A really wonderful place, especially to get a clean, highly affordable place late at night. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. The Manager went out of his way to help me park my UHaul trailer with my car on the trailer, which took up a good 5-6 parking spots. He then gave me a room directly overlooking my trailer, so I could have a restful night. Very good WiFi, easy parking, easy to locate right off the Ohio Turnpike. This location is a bit odd to get to. My GPS tried to send me the back way, but I missed it the first time and had to use the front entrance, which is through a Sheetz gas station parking lot. There are large potholes in the road down to the hotel. The room is spacious, but our tub flooded after each shower, and the water pressure was finicky. All in all, it is a room at a budget price, so you get what you get. read more

Pleasant stay overall. We were enthusiastically greeted during the check-in process. We appreciated the dining recommendations and information about the surrounding area. Even though its an older facility, it is nicely maintained, and the personal touches gave the place a welcoming vibe. The room was spacious, comfortable, and equipped with a microwave and a decent sized fridge. There is no individual coffee maker in the room, but coffee is available in the lobby. If it isn't fresh, they will make you a single serving upon request. The hotel sits on a shared lot with a Sheetz convenience store. The room rate was very reasonable for the night's stay. read more

Never heard of or stayed at an econo lodge until now and I'd say I was very happy. Room was clean, smelt clean. Hallway did smell a little like cigarettes though. Got my security deposit back then 3 days after my check out they are trying to take money from my card. Thankfully I keep my card locked. Called choice privileges and found out I'm being billed for stained sheets. my son did have a nose bleed on the bed and I scrubbed with soap and water to get the blood out. Even if there was a drop or two of blood that was missed, blood comes out of sheets so not sure why I'm being billed that they are going to wash and it's going to be perfectly white again but okay. read more

All updated, clean and QUIET! The people who work here are friendly and accommodating.. had an issue with our Debit Card, they were awesome. We travel over 8/9 months a year for my husband's work. I've stayed in 5 star down to 1 star hotels.. this place beat out a FEW of the 5 star places we've stayed. We'll DEFINITELY be staying here again if my hubby gets another assignment here! I'm sure there were many other nice rooms available, however, according to the front desk , person, my husband did not request a "pet room" (despite his explanation to her that there isn't a way to do that on the Choice Hotel app) we were literally forced to take a "smoking" room. Nevertheless, it was almost midnight and we were out of options. The smell of cigarette smoke was almost nauseating but thankfully I was too tired to make a fuss. Besides, she had made it quite clear that this room was the only room available. Does it matter that we had paid many hours prior for a non-smoking room? Anyway, we both went to sleep quickly. The ac was barely working- good thing as the "blanket" on the bed was extremely thin and with burn holes (see photo). In the morning, I noticed that the towels were also thin, threadbare thin in fact, and stained as was the inside of the shower curtain (yuck) ... (see photos). The bathroom light switch needed cleaning as well (photo), despite an informative card boasting of all surfaces having been sanitized, etc. All in all, very disappointing stay and especially for such an unreasonable price. read more

Recently updated! The wife, baby and I stopped here for the night to rest after driving all day. Its a decently cheap place to lay you head for the night. I like how the hotel has all interior rooms. We stayed at the Econo Lodge in Newton Falls, OH in the past and decided to change it up. Check-in was flawless even at 11:50pm. However my reason for dropping a star was upon entering the room the window was wide open with no screen. There was a freeze advisory on this night and the room was 45*F upon walking in. No Bueno' and too cold for a 5 week old baby. Thankfully the heat worked and was up to 78*F in about 20 minutes. Funny there wasn't a "sofa-bed" in the room as stated online. The room says it sleeps 4 people, but I've never seen four people fit all in one bed! **Overall this is just a basic place to lay your head for the night an nothing more. read more

a good, clean, safe budget option - I spent 7 nights in this motel in Aug 2015. The room was very clean as was the lobby. A basic Continental Breakfast is served every morning from 6-10 AM: Eggo waffles, bread, cheerios and frosted flakes, Danishes, small powdered cake donuts, coffee, and orange juice. My room was comfortable, at the end if the second floor facing a line of trees. There is a wetland and wooded area in front of the motel. There are several restaurants within walking distance. My one complaint was that the wi-fi did not work reliably in my room (222) so I went to the lobby to do work on my computer as wi-fi worked well in the lobby. The mostly Indian hotel staff seemed friendly and customer service oriented. Conveniently located near major highways easy to access Cleveland or Akron from here. read more

I would have done zero stars if I could. I guess I had my tv too loud and front desk called and disrespectfully scolded me and yelled keep it quiet in there!" I'm not 10 years old, I'm 31 and don't need this. I will gladly never come here again. Also card key wouldn't work and kept giving me more keys that didn't work until front desk finally said, here's 5 keys! One should work. Pretty extra if you ask me. The breakfast area was not up to par. there is no elevator, and the garbage outside the back door was always full and never cleaned.

Handicap room was clean. Sink & bathtub ran slow, reported to desk clerk. The clerk very friendly & helpful. Would recommend & stay again. Hotel is dog friendly and our Westie appreciated that! read more

I have stayed in much nicer Econolodge's in the past and kind of wished I ponied up a little more to stay at one of the 6 other hotels in the area, but I was tired and it was late at night. The Wi-Fi was okay, the soda machine was cheap, the beds were okay (the sheets and blankets looked clean, but they had holes in them). The one thing that sucked was there seemed to be a lack of water in the morning from a busted pipe in town, I know there is nothing that the hotel can do about this, but I could not even brush my teeth or wash my face in the morning, some bottled water would have been nice. read more

This was a fairly limited budget option. The redeeming factors were its cleanliness, staff friendliness, large grassy area to walk the dog and level of parking lot security. If you park in the rear, there are very bright security lights illuminating the area and a camera directed at the parking. The rooms are in severe need of updating, have an odd odor (musty) and lack a coffee pot or refrigerator. There was access to an ice machine for our cooler but no place to refreeze our ice packs for traveling. The tv had poor resolution and was extremely outdated. The bathroom was decent sized but the tub drain plug was broken and laying on the edge of the tub. The sheets and towels appeared quite clean but the blanket on the bed did have a tear in it. There is a continental breakfast, however, the options are limited. In our cross country trip, this is the first budget hotel in a week that has not offered a waffle maker. Options included danishes, 2 cereals, eggo waffles and oatmeal. Milk, coffee and orange juice were available for beverages, but the orange juice tasted quite sour. I wish there was a 2.5 star rating as I really feel this is a middle of the road hotel. However, when choosing between 2 and 3 stars, my husband swayed me to rate it a 3 as cleanliness, area for our dog and security are high on our priority list when looking for a place to stay for the night and these areas were met well. read more

Cons: Tub surface slippery. No bath stool/ chair available. Bath fixtures (water on and off, temp adjustment) loose Coffee available ONLY at breakfast. No coffee maker in room. NO ICE BUCKET IN ROOM. When I complained about it, I was brought one with no liner. Had to use my small cooler instead. My key card worked once, then not at all. Had to have it reset. Breakfast not like other Comfort Inn venues I've stayed in. Rather meager, in fact. My husband said the coffee was terrible. read more

Booking.com gave much better reviews of this place, but I should have checked here, too. Our stay was....ok. The first room we were given had a broken air conditioner, and since it was 90 degrees outside that wasn't going to work. The staff had no problem giving us a different room. The room was clean, but you can tell it was once a smoking room. The drain in the bathtub was really slow, and there was water damage on the bathroom ceiling. Breakfast is pretty spartan. But, it's free, and there's a Denny's down the street if you need something substantial. We didn't have a bad stay, but I also wouldn't recommend staying here. read more

Wow, what an amazing value! Before I go further, let me clarify that I'm not rating a "five star hotel". Econo Lodge is not the Waldorf-Astoria. It's a budget motel. You aren't going to find wet bars in the rooms, plush bathrobes hanging in the bathrooms or your covers turned down and mints on your pillow at bedtime. But a good budget hotel should provide polite, helpful staff; a clean, comfortable room; and furniture and plumbing that are in good condition. On these points, the Econo Lodge in Streetsboro delivered very nicely for us, and for $65, which is one of the lowest prices I've gotten lately for a room that accommodates a family of four. (When we take road trips, we often aren't on a set schedule. We drive as far as we can before we get too tired, then find a place to spend the night. This adds an extra element of adventure to the trip, but does make it harder to shop in advance for the best hotel at the best price.) We were greeted by a friendly clerk, who quickly found us a room and checked us in. The room was immaculate, and true to its description as a non-smoking room, there wasn't even a hint of cigarette smoke in it. Some people reading this review may take something like that for granted, but all too often, we've stayed in rooms that were supposed to be non-smoking rooms, and yet they still reeked of cigarette smoke. In fact, there were no off odors at all, which was great for us, as some of our family members suffer from allergies to perfumy cleaning products, among other things. In our travels, we've encountered rooms with all sorts of smells that shouldn't be there, including mold, mildew, heavy perfumes, cigarette smoke and even gasoline! Unless you've arrived at a hotel exhausted and just wanting to go to bed, you may have difficulty imaging just how much of a relief it is to not have to grab your things, go back to the clerk and try to get another room, or leave and find another hotel. The room was larger than we've usually gotten in this price range; it could actually be described as spacious by budget hotel standards. There were two double beds with plenty of room to walk around, a wide dresser with a mirror, several comfy, upholstered chairs and a utility table. There was no closet, but there was a raised shelf and bar for hanging things, and there was even an iron provided (although we didn't need to use it). The bathroom had a wide console for the sink, a tub/shower combo and a quiet exhaust fan with a switch that was separate from the light switch. Lighting all around was warm and pleasant. The beds were on the firm side of comfortable, which we liked, although as we've often found, the pillows were on the flat side. (We brought our own to augment them, although I'm sure the clerk would've provided extras if we'd asked.) The TV set, which we used in the morning to entertain our youngest child, worked like a charm. Cable TV with HBO is provided at no extra charge. Free wi-fi is provided, although it's unsecured, so use it at your own risk. Bandwidth was on the slow side, but more than adequate for e-mail and casual web use. Free breakfast is provided: They had two kinds of dry cereal - authentic General Mills Cheerios and Kellogg's Frosted Flakes - various flavors of Quaker instant oatmeal, milk (2%, I think) danish that looked tasty (but I didn't try any), fresh coffee that tasted very good, and a couple of different juices. I think there was a toaster there somewhere, because I saw butter and jam for toast, but I wasn't looking for that, either, so I can't comment on it. I docked this Econo Lodge one star for the following: - No refrigerator in the room, and the clerk was unwilling to freeze our freezer packs or allow us to put any of our perishables in the hotel refrigerator. (Ice machines are available on all floors, though.) - There's only one entrance to the hotel that's open, and if you can't park near it, you may have to carry your things some distance. - Minor plumbing problems in the bathroom: the toilet flush key had to be held down in order to flush, and the sink drained very slowly. - The orange juice at breakfast was spoiling, and there was no skim milk. However, these were very minor problems. The main thing that makes a budget hotel a great value is - with apologies to Motel 6's advertising gurus - a clean, comfortable room for a low price, and the Streetsboro Econo Lodge delivered that with interest. The next time we stop for the night in the vicinity, we hope to stay there again, and we're pleased to recommend that you spend a night there, too. read more

This Econolodge wouldn't give us sheets for the sofabed without charging extra. The sofabed was listed as part of the room and we'd reserved the room with 4 people - 2 adults and 2 children. Us 2 adults were to get the king bed and the 2 kiddos the sofabed. However, we ended up leaving since we couldn't get sheets without paying extra. It also smelled musty in the hallways. read more
