Hampton Inn Stroudsburg/Poconos - Breakfast Area

Don't even think twice, book this hotel! Easy walking distance to the heart of town for a beer,…read morewine, or a meal or shopping! The Hampton Inn meets all expectations and exceeds many! Not a single complaint about the quality of the room, the quality of the hotel. Very comfortable beds! It's almost too good to be true how close this hotel is to the downtown area. I'm really really glad I booked this hotel instead of other hotels nearby. This hotel, you can literally walk out the door and go a block and a half and your restaurants are right there in either direction. I wanna make it extremely clear how nice though the hotel was. All of your modern enemies, and all in top form! Absolutely perfectly comfortable beds and pillows. An outstanding air conditioner or heater that worked remarkably well in the room to control your climate to exactly how you wanted it. Super clean with all the bathroom and other amenities. No need to Uber. I want to really point out that this town has multiple breweries and wineries and restaurants. If drinking is part of your agenda wow you won't have anything to worry about you'll be able to walk a block or two, have your drinks and walk back to your room! There's also wonderful restaurants here as well. Finally, it's not a crazy loud town. It's very quiet just a lot of mature fun! Super highly recommended if you're staying in the Delaware water gap area! Very close to the Delaware water gap for you to explore also!

The room itself had a greasy, dirty texture on the floor that stuck to our feet after showering, requiring us to wash off our feet before putting shoes on. And finally, I found out later that the front desk attendant charged us a pet fee even though we had no pet with us and never even asked about animals. We had to request a refund after the fact, and since customer service didn't believe us we had to wait for them to call the hotel to confirm we did not bring an animal before getting refunded. Would recommend the Penn Stroud if you are in the area instead of Hampton Inn Stroudsburg/Poconos if you want clean rooms and a pleasant stay.

Cozy spot! Stayed here during my trip to Shawnee Mountain…read more Stroudsmoor Inn had a lot of great amenities including a full fitness center with enough machines for a full body workout. Most people usually don't like to work out on vacations so hotels try to get away with putting 3 dumbbells and an elliptical in a room and claiming they offer a "gym" on their facilities. This place was much better than usual! I got a great workout in before the festivities There is also a nice indoor pool with a hot tub that my kids took full advantage of. They had a lot of fun with all the other kids at the hotel. Room was nice and spacious and there was a private balcony that led to the back of the cabin with a nice view of the woods. Only reason we didn't hit that 5 star was because of the weird layout. The rooms were at a different location from all the amenities so after we were done swimming, we kinda had to wrap up and walk in the freezing cold to the other area to reach our room. The bathroom was also kinda small Other than that, it was a great stay! The staff was super friendly and we were very comfortable.

The carpets are damp and stained as well adding to your fear of not wanting any of your belongings to touch anything. Thankful our room had extra blankets so we could cover everything before sitting down. At midnight, woke up sick from the dust and mold and contemplated spending the rest of the night sleeping in the car. Cannot get out of here fast enough!!! Disgusting and the owners should be ashamed of themselves for not taking the same pride on what is presented behind closed doors as the take in the outside grounds.

The front desk was a nice lady who got us checked in and the comfort to drive around from the general parking to front of our room was convenient. The room size was little for the high price and had cigarette smell though it was a non smoking room. The problem was that the place outside of the room totally looked undermain with spider cobwebs all around on the roof. Didn't try their complementary breakfast, so can't comment on it.

This place is the lowest of the low -- dirtier and more disgusting than any hotel I've ever visited. It must violate health codes, and I can't understand why local or county inspectors haven't shut it down or fined them. The violations are numerous, and it's extremely filthy. Don't be fooled by fake 4- or 5-star reviews; this hotel is franchised by an Indian owner, and many of the fake reviews have Indian first or last names. This dump should be shut down and never reopened until they fix these issues. Stay far away, far, far, far away, and don't look back! It's gross -- mold is everywhere, and the rooms are unbelievably dirty, like a 1-star hotel in Bangladesh. Maybe this place is just a front for some shady money laundering operation. There's no way this place even exists anymore.

Microwaved meals and hardly a cup, outside you can hear the quacks of a quite lonely duck.Let's be real here folks. The place needs work. And a LOT of it. It's musty, and cold, scary and bold. They charge $100 a night, when you're lucky to get a room with a light! The fireplace is gone, and the commodities all done. I even threw on my swimsuit but only to be felt feeling like a fool! For when I ran into the "resort room" the water was MISSING from the indoor swimming pool! Let's face it, the structure isn't sound, it's falling apart. It's musky, and moldy and dank and dark.

This place was so run down, it smelled of cat urine and stale cigarette smoke. The room had no soap, the bathroom had roach droppings around the bathtub edge; toilet paper holder was barely holding on to the wall. The door to the was so hard to open that we literally to knock open with our shoulder, and then slam it shut. Then had the nerve to charge $119.89 for the night. The place needs to be condemned. If I could give less than one star this would be it. Only reason we stayed was we were too tired to continue driving. We arrived at 9:00 pm and literally were gone by 6:00 am the next morning. Never again!
