Economy did not complete the service I contracted for at my rental property in Anne Arundel County. Agreed trimming was not completed and stumps were not removed. The owner came to my personal residence requesting payment and promised services would be completed next day. That was over a year ago. I posted a negative review on a different site a few weeks ago and got a call next day with another promise to complete and possible refund. Guess what? Nothing has been done. This company should not be trusted. read more

We had gotten five estimates and Economy's price came right in the middle. Once we got the date fixed to do the work, the job was completed according to what we specified. It was thoroughly professional, efficient and the clean up afterwards was complete and thorough. As the job had to completed within our neighbor's yard ( access), we were particularly concerned that they were satisfied as well. They were quite satisfied. As a matter of fact, watching the entire process was interesting and educational. We would absolutely use them again and another neighbor was interested in hiring them as well. The only negative thing I could say was that we had specified that the neighbor needed 24 hours notice to move vehicles for Economy to come in. Economy's first try at a date was very last minute and we could not agree to that date. However, it was resolved and the second date worked. We had to remember that scheduling a work date was rather weather dependent. On the same note, Economy needed to understand that we stipulated giving notice for a reason, but it all worked out according to everyone's satisfaction and we are very pleased with the job. We have more tree work in the future and will be calling them again. read more

I am a neighbor that has suffered damage on two different occasions from this company that my neighbor hired. The first instance is when they did tree work for my neighbor and in an effort to keep the neighbor's yard clean on the first occasion they blew all sawdust from the neighbors yard and street unto my grass. When I asked them to remove it, the sullen looks of the employees made it apparent that they were not understanding why you couldn't completely cover someone's grass with sawdust and chunks of bark. After they left I still had over a half of garbage can filled with the sawdust! The second experience I was out of town. When I came back two mature shrubs were completely trampled, an iron gate was broken, bent, as if a caterpillar had driven over it. There were piles of sawdust in our yard, 20-30 feet from the tree that was removed, 3 foot long ruts, 6 inches deep, across my new grass and then tree debris, leaves, branches, more bark and chipped wood left across my side yard where they had obviously dragged branches to the street. My neighbors yard showed no signs of any grass being ripped out. When asked about making good on the damages we were informed that we should call our insurance company because all the damage happened as the neighbors tree fell. None of that is true as my husband was home and has pictures of the fallen tree, our yard, our trees after the neighbors trees fell. This crew left the 8 foot long stems of my broken shrub laying on the ground but dragged the neighbors tree branches across my yard. The mature Cedar Tree has a broken tip by 5-6 feet and is hanging by the bark and the tree company said they were not responsible. They offered no apology only said they would throw some dirt and grass seed to cover the ruts. They took no responsibility for the damage to my property, blamed all damage on the falling tree, saying it happened before they got there. All our photos prove the opposite. It is obvious that the satisfaction guaranteed is for the person paying the bill. Any other damages to anyone else and you are on your own. If you want to keep your neighbors on a talking basis, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The neighbor on the other side of the property also had issues with this company with the damage to their property. This is not a one time mistake with this company! read more

In the Spring of 2016 I had Economy Tree Service prune two large trees in my yard. The foreman or head employee told me that he'd also prune the bushes around the house. I thought, ok, great. Later that day when I came home, the bushes weren't pruned. The trees were and the work done was adequate. I'm figuring that Economy will come back the next day and prune the bushes. They didn't. Nor did they prune them the next week or month. I called Economy and they had one of their crew call me. He left a message saying they would prune the bushes but they didn't have any work recently in my town but when they did, they would return. It's now the end of September and the bushes have grown quite a bit since Spring, and Economy is nowhere to be found. Lessons learned: 1) Get an estimate in writing specifying what work is to be done and the exact cost 2) Don't take a business at their word. I'm old school and believed you CAN take a business at its word. You can't. 3)Economy Tree Service will not get my business again. I would have given one star but gave two because the tree work was adequate. read more

Very Happy, Thanks! The community my mother lives in was victim to a tornado, tree destruction was everywhere. Many families had serious damage to their homes, but my mother had massive tree destruction to some very large trees. Economy tree was able to get there very quickly, especially having to deal with other folks much more urgent tree issues! An army of personnel made short work of an enormous pile of sheered trees.They ground stumps and removed debris to a near spotless condition in a day! And, they were the cheapest vendor! I believe the owner of the company was personally touched by this tragedy, and made it a 'mission' to help people, making it a financially reasonable experience for home owners. I definitely felt he and his staff were connected, 'in touch', and wanted to do whatever it took to ease folks suffering of 'what am I going to do with this devastation'?!? Thank you Economy Tree service, you made what once looked pretty bleak into a livable space again! read more

I contracted yhem to remove a large dead tree in my backyard. My backyard always fill ip with water when it rain a lot and at the time we had a lot of rain and my backyard was still very wet, I told them it was no hurry but they said they would be able to remove the tree without damaging my yard. Well they removed the tree but in the process the really dammaged my backyard and they say that it is just the way it is with removing a very large tree and I will have to repair it myself. I would NOT recommend this company. read more
