I recently went here to get my 98 Buick LeSabre headliner fixed and I want to say it was the owner, Raul, that helped me. I called and got a base quote and went to the place of business for inspection to determine supplies and fabric. I want to say prices vary but that's just a guess. I had called maybe 3-4 businesses and I was quoted between $400-$600 and Economy Upholstery was definitely the cheaper option. The only thing that did not sit well with me was Raul took it upon him self to fix my rear window fabric without asking me first although I appreciate it. I still paid the man and he did a great job. Plan a drop off, there's not really a waiting area there. The job took close to 4 hours. The gentleman speaks Spanish and some English. I wish I took before photos. Overall a good experience. I shopped around 5 different places for a quote to redo the headliner in my car. Economy gave me the best price. Actually, the quote to do my headliner, 4 pillars and redo my driver's seat totalled less than the other places for just the headliner. They are very easy to work with and very good at what they do. The materials and quality of work were very good. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I dropped my car off at 9am and they said it would be ready by 3 or earlier, it didn't get done til almost 5. Not a huge deal to me since I love pretty close, but I had to arrange a ride. read more

For some reason, this place doesn't get the reviews that it should and I think it's definitely worth checking into if you need some upholstery work done in the South Bay. This shop is the worst, it took them over a month to finish my chair because one of the workers cut the fabric of my chair by accident thinking that it was an old rag. They did not had the guts to let me know until I showed up the third week asking for my chair because he wasn't answering my calls. He had no choice but to tell me what happened and he told me to choose fabric that was close to what I had and that he would do the upper part for free. Trying to say that he was making me a favor of course I made it clear right away that it wasn't a favor that he had to made it because of their incompetent staff. I sorry but this shop should not be operating with this kind of service. The chair came out good but to much stress it was not worth it. I think the owners name is Raul no customer service at all and he tried to charge more than what they initially said trying to make up for their mistake! read more

These guys are real miracle workers and are so much more inexpensive and a lot of other upholsterers I have dealt with over the years. They have transformed our Victorian five piece living room group into its original condition without skimping on the quality or materials used and they got it done in record time, and recently we have our Federal style cherry wood finish dining room chair redone in faux briarwood leather and the results were amazing, again done at a very reasonable price and quick too-4 days max. These guys are very modest hard working gentlemen that come to your home listen to your wants and take a few notes and accept a down payment equal to cost of the material that will need to be ordered, then upon delivery and set-up of your refurbished furniture will ask for the 2nd half of the payment which is usually labor cost only. In both cases for us it was around 50 / 50 split. Any way, Economy Upholstery was recommended to us thru are neighbor who has been an auto upholsterer for over 30 years now and obviously knew his stuff and who to trust in the industry. read more

They failed to return my couch on the one week agreed time and then gave me the run around every week and telling it would be ready on certain days then we would call and get the run around once again! When he finally brought my couch back after FIVE WEEKSE it was HORRIBLE!!!!!! The material he said he would match , did not even come close to matching. I have never ever written a review on Yelp but in this case I felt compelled to submit my first one. Talked to Raul at Economy Upholstery and he agreed to repair my patio chairs and a lounge chair but could not pick up the chairs until the following week. When he did not show up at the agreed time the following week I called him to ask if he would still be coming to pick up the furniture. I told me that he was going out of town and would not be able to pick up the chairs for another week and said that I was suppose to have sent him pictures of the furniture. I reminded him that I personally went to his shop to show him pictures of the furniture and that he wrote down all my information in his notebook. He then remembered talking to me and said that he would send someone the next day the pick up the furniture and asked for my phone number again so he could call me to confirm the time. Of course nobody called me and nobody showed up to pick up the furniture. I am so glad I didn't pay this irresponsible person and his shop the almost $700 that was agreed to fix my patio furniture. I would recommend that nobody trust this shop to do work on your furniture. Horrible way to do business. I guess Economy Upholstery makes enough money to turn away business. NOT! read more
