Love my water softener, filter and reverse osmosis drinking water purifier! Wish I would have got this years ago.

this company is so cheap it's ridiculous, also they are not a great company to work for as they lie about a lot of incentives and commissions, so do not work here. Purchased a system back in 2013 through Costco which included a water softener and an under the sink water filtration system. Both have operated well with no issues until recently when the water softener stopped working. I had to schedule a service appointment to have the softener checked out and was a little apprehensive because the softener was 10 years old and I was convinced they were going to tell me I needed a new one. The appointment was set up for a Saturday between 10am and noon. Eric, the service tech showed up at 10am, right on time. After telling him the issues I was having with the softener, he was quickly able to diagnose the issue and show me what was wrong. He told me he could clean the part that was malfunctioning or he could price me a replacement. I was waiting for some really bad news regarding the price when he came back from his truck but he said it would only cost $39 for the new part. Eric answered all my questions, took the time to explain what he was doing and how it worked and commented on how well my softener still looked. It's nice that EcoWater stands by their product and after fixing the softener, he did a water test to ensure everything was okay before he left. It's not often you get a service rep that doesn't try and upsell you something or grossly overcharge for their parts. I was very happy with Eric's knowledge and service of the unit and I have the soft water I was missing. read more

I only selected one because there was no zero option available. Their customer service is terrible! I had a problem with my system making a terrible noise and shooting water all over the garage floor. I unplugged the device and then called the office when they opened. I was told I would receive a call shortly. When I didn't receive a call back after two hours, I called back and eventually talked with a supervisor who told me they don't do same day appts. When I explained that the system had to be turned off because of the problems, he still insisted that they will not do same day appts. They're coming tomorrow and told me that even though the unit is still under warranty, I will have to pay the service fee for them to come out. Great product but HORRIBLE customer service. read more

The Costco Ecowater filter salesman knew less than me about water filtration. He made claims that I knew to be false. I've had a generic reverse osmosis filtration systems under my sink for 30 years. I know how to install and maintain them. Ecowater won't provide filtration tests or any technical information. They just want to send a sales closer to your home and sell you an exorbitantly overpriced product. read more

This review is for the Eco Water Company soft water system. It has been a very disappointing experience ever since my soft water machine broke last week. Last Tuesday, Eco Water Company sent staff to renew my filtration filter. Right after the filter replacement, they pressed random buttons on my machine. Two days later, I noticed that the screen displayed "out of salt" while my system still had half a box of potassium (same function as salt ) left. It was impossible to run out of salt. When I uncover the machine, inside it was full with dirty water. The leaked water dissolved all the remaining potassium, Some potassium are even soaking at the bottom. This is really frustrating since it has been only a year since the installation, and I was barely home during the past six months. With such little use, the machine managed to break down. What made this experience even worse was their customer service team. At first, they used all kinds of excuses and told me that they would contact me on Tuesday right after Labor Day. I waited for the entire morning and received no call at all. When I tried to call them instead, I was placed on hold for a long time. Over the call, the only update I received was that their regional representative was on another line, and he would call me back shortly. Then another two hours passed with no call from the company. When I called the company again to demand immediate service and reimbursement for the wasted potassium, the representative told me what happened was very normal and common. I have already invested $7,000 on this water system, and I can perfectly afford a bag of potassium. All I wanted was an explanation and an immediate remedy to my broken water system situation. Clearly, it was too much to ask from Eco Water Company. This is urgent to me, but obviously not an urgent case to Eco Water. I was told to wait 2 more days until the next available technician. Hopefully the day after tomorrow the technician can come on time and resolve this ridiculous water leaking issue. read more

I had been using a filter pitcher and my water was filming and even molding if left in the air. I decided to get an under the sink system and I am very pleased with ECOWATER. THe water tastes great and is there for me. It is not filming up my water pitcher and I am happy to have one less layer of toxins in my life. I have the Wi-Fi connection so I can see my filter usage and need for replacement. It was not cheap but it was worth it for me. read more

Do not recommend call center in Fresno, CA or wherever they are located bad service maintenance is so expensive and if you change the filter yourself avoid the warranty so they want to come out and do it for $300+ I do not recommend go with a better company. I had to change all 3 of my drink water filters 3 times in two years because the water started tasting bad and they hustled me every time because they recommend changing all three at the same time. i was employed by ecowater systems of central california a little over a month in december 2024 & omg u guys please beware. they expected me to run 2-3 appts approx 90 mins apart each time in a dodge ram with zero monies from them cuz they shorted my training pay, went back on paying gas mileage. haven't paid ne out for my very first install my 2nd day on the job over a month ago. then sent me $55 like it was a funny joke. my daughters senior trip to disney is on the line now. they didn't allow me to clock in and now deny my requests for timecards, remittance for $55 dd... nothing. the owner pulls my access to clock in but has the nerve to send me emails on the company email one after another saying...i tried calling you...she did not....i emailed you...on you internal company email i only happened to see cuz of doing due diligence when a job is over. cleaned out apps, docs, etc. i was floored. that trying to make my character look bad. they gave what must have been a horrible reference to the competitor i set a interview with cuz i can't work for free ir pay you to work. they claim theres a service department yet my first customers had a massive leak the very next morning after being installed and they were told 3 days for tech to come fix then my boss mike proceeds to tell me i was getting more upset then the customer cuz i was like thats bs i just told then theres a service dept. then he talks shit with the customer about me. cuz i am okd school so i suggested he get a bucket for now for the leak .cuz it was bad. and eco blew him off basically. they high five over getting a piece of your babies clean laundry and doing a "clean water test" where u would use the modified filter in the briefcase kit brought to water test appointments and fill a bowl to dunk baby clothes in to ring soap left in linen so parents feel guilty & buy. i couldn't believe mike suggested its cool to do cuz it bring money home to our families & thats what mtters most. selling the salespeople even. you don't need to spend $14,999 on a whole home water softener or $1890 on a reverse osmosis you have to pay $250 ever yr for #1 & #3 cartridge replacement say in turlock i can install if local. no eco.. read more

We bought EcoWater softener and the drinking water filter system from Costco 8 months ago, so far we are having watermarks on the faucets on the shower glass, they told us the drinking water filters should be replaced once a year but that's not true, we had to replace the Carbon filter 3 times in 7 months because the water starts to taste bitter, each filter replacement costs us $65, No customers service phone number for EcoWater, they do not respond to emails, THIS IS ABSURD and not acceptable because they didn't deliver what they promised and they got paid for it. read more

I bought the system through Costco because I trust them and they usually get involved when issues arise. However, in my case there was a major issue with false advertising that Costco was unable to do anything about. Furthermore, it is very unfortunate that Costco does not provide reviews of their installation services, so think twice before assuming Costco is the best option. When I was given the sales presentation by Joe Fernandez, I was informed that the system had a leak alert and the ability to shut off water remotely through the app. He also told me a nice story about a family on vacation receiving a leak alert and shutting off water and saved the house from major damage. Those features were what sold me on the product, but it turned out, they didn't exist. I had a leak that destroyed the ceiling in my garage and didn't get any alerts. The installer told me that sales guys are not very well informed and after installation, customer service confirmed that there's no alert or remote shut off capabilities. Horrible customer service and expect to take a vacation day just for a technician to come change a wet sponge that triggered the shut off valve because of a leak from the install! I am a new customer and got the run around and was given an 8-12pm window, even asking for the first appointment and being told they would. I was not able to speak with a supervisor during 3 calls that I made to their Texas office? I was not able to speak with the technician either and he was supposed to call a half hour before arrival and didn't call until 12pm saying he would be here in another 30 to 45 minutes. We trusted Costco to choose a trustworthy company to supply their water softener systems. We bought our system about 10 years ago and have moved it with us to two new homes. Are experiences with customer service have been okay. Our experiences with the technicians have been less than satisfying. They do the bare minimum job and are not friendly at all. Lead times to get the system moved and reinstalled in our new homes took weeks and they would not even move the system from our old house to our new house the first time. My husband suffered a broken neck just months before and they made him move the system because they did not want to. Our last move we barely got them to take out the system before escrow closed and then they couldn't reinstall it in our new house for weeks. We finally met a good technician that we liked so we asked him to come back and reinstall the system. Once the day finally came to reinstall the system at our new house, they did not send the technician that we requested but another less than average less than friendly technician. We had inquired about them installing at the same time our new kitchen faucet which they had to get supervisor permission for. But when it came to installing it on the day the technician didn't want to so they told us they weren't going to. I am less than impressed and will do my research next time instead of just trusting Costco. The reverse osmosis system and the whole house water softener system have served us well although we have had issues with our whole house water softener system and had to replace parts that were no longer under the warranty. So much for a lifetime warranty. read more

This does mainly concern the two technicians (Josh N.+technician #2) who showed up to repair a drinking water filter system in my house. My 5-Star review is specifically concerns "dupure" and the two TECHNICIANS. *They courteously texted me beforehand prior to their stop. *They were extremely professional and polite. *They took their time and took care of two problems. On the contrary; "ECO WATER" as a company and its web site is not so customer friendly. The biggest disappointment is their on line services! ECO WATER website is useless and their customer service phone does not help. ECOWATER should be grateful to have a distributor such as "dupure" and employees like "Josh N." to make up for what a horrible on line services they are offering. It was obvious that the customer satisfaction is not a priority. I was so lucky to find the paper work with company's (dupure) name on it which is EcoWater Distributor. Would not recommend it to anyone. After system was installed and after the cancelation period, their customer service was (and is to this day) unbelievably bad. I'm very disappointed in the service. Installation was faulty. I called and they took a while to respond. Did not keep their promises. It's even more shocking to me because they are associated with Costco, who prides itself in 100 percent customer satisfaction. I even called Costco and they didn't (and haven't) resolved the issue. I have to keep calling them for the same unresolved issue. They are earning first place but in worst customer service. If I could, I would return the system. I would prefer to buy a more expensive system with a better customer service. The water quality itself is not that great. They have not done anything to address the issues I have with them. Do not purchase an Eco Water system. I have their reverse osmosis drinking water system, and when it came time to replace the filters, I was completely taken off guard. To simply replace the filters, they wanted almost $700.00 for the reverse osmosis, and the pre and post filters. In my opinion they are worth about $180.00 for all 3 in total. We went through Costco, the most trusted of referrals! The initial water softener installation a year and a half ago was great, perfectly timed because we'd just renovated our bathrooms and wanted to prevent those gosh darn hard water stains. This year, the under-the-sink water filter they installed (gratis!) leaked and damaged the cabinetry in our kitchen - Luis, the technician who installed everything in the first place, arrived, assessed the situation, replaced the system, and now he and Ecowater are sending out a restoration service to repair the damage. When we decided to install a system in our home we went with Costco's approved company Ecowater. This was the first time I needed service and I can tell you it was mostly great. Scheduling was a little problematic but it was more because of conflicting schedules. The Ecowater crew was communicative and helpful. But the best part of the entire experience was having Nicholai as our service person. He was polite, informative, honest and came in with a great attitude despite it being late in the day. read more

We've had ecowater for a few years now and love it. It's actually ruined us for bottled water now but that's good considering how many chemicals go in there. We moved recently and we were worried we wouldn't be able to take our filtration system with us since our new water heater is tankless and outside the house. Fortunately that wasn't a problem. However, after a month we had finally monitored our gallon usage and noticed it was pretty high after our sprinklers went off so Jamar came out this morning to help repipe the system. He was very polite and professionally and super quick! He was done in 20 minutes! My experience with ecowater customer service has always been positive; their employees are top notch! From the point of arriving to the point of finishing the job-- we were happy with their stellar service. They have it down to a science on installing the system. We have had a great experience with Ecowater! We purchased through Costco. Tod Sandland was our very helpful, friendly and informative rep. After the initial installation we had a problem with our under-sink filter, but after calling the warranty department they sent someone out to handle it within a couple of days. That was almost 8 months ago and we haven't had any issues since. Our water is great quality and we are really happy with our spotless dishes and shower panels! The under-sink RO system saves us lots of money and keeps our consumption of plastic bottles way down. The water tastes really good, and I consider myself a water snob! :) read more
