The proprietor of this lovely shop - Teah, is friendly, patient, and extremely helpful. I used to have my work framed at Hull's down the street, and while Hull's isn't bad, this place is next level, and yet I don't think Merwin's is any more expensive. If I'm not mistaken they seem to be competitively priced, but at Merwin's you really feel like you're in the right place. Trust me, if you're anywhere close, or heck... even if you aren't, I urge you to give this place your business. I last had some prints framed there back in 2022, and just left something to be framed a couple of days ago, and thought - I have to write a review about this place. The work they do is top notch, the service is without equal because you're dealing with Teah @ Merwin's.

They only have 2 real registers, the rest are self checkout and they've got the curbside pickup BS right by the front door trying to shove that new system down our throats. The cane was not the usual good quality I was used to from your store. Many strands were unusable & all had the black break mark. I called about it & talked to Ray the owner. That's what I was told. He said he could not discount that order, but would give me a discount on my next order. I just got my next order dated 9/28 Inv 752360, acct # 012696. I explained to the salesperson what Ray had told me about a discount. The cost was not discounted & actually went up $47.90. Caryl is the owner and she is one of the nicest most friendly people you will ever talk to. I love HH Perkins. This place is a hidden gem. If you want to start crafting HH Perkins is the spot! It's so nice to see such a place like this go into town. As soon as you enter, you are immediately hit with the light scent of homemade goodness (or maybe that's just the lavender and goat milk soap!) I wish I could just bottle it up and have my home smell like that. Everything on sale in here is made by local artisans. From deodorant, decorative candles, soaps and scrubs, wine glasses and mugs, wooden furniture and signs, beauty products, clothing....there is truly something unique here for everyone. Lots of organic and fair trade items as well. I had the pleasure of meeting Stephani, one of the owners while we (my son and I) were there and she is just the sweetest. Additionally, they will be hosting events in this space as well. I think along the lines of Mommy & Me classes and adult wine/art nights. Reasonably priced and cheaper than ordering on Amazon by the way as that is no longer a bargain deal. The only constant and I will live with it is the sometimes long waits to get out. That is the price one pays for getting excellent prices which they have and a great selection. If this store rolls up and leaves that would be a real loss especially after losing first A.C.Moore than Joann's and being with just one large supplier for the hobby world. I do suspect that some competitors are making these low rating remarks. I never trust negative especially about stores and worse restaurants. I think they are staged.
