There's no cameras and I would bet they have those kids in front of tv more often than they say. Additionally they put the infants in the same room as walking kids that are up to 20 months old. No where else does this. It's not safe. Speaking of safety- when you first pull up You see the gate to the playground and all the kids on the playground. The infant door is just inside the gate, forest door on the left. To get into the playground all she did was reach to the top of the gate to move the plastic zip ties and then opened the gate. It wasn't locked. The classroom with infants, not locked. The classroom appeared to have one entry and exit total - to that unlocked gate. Any adult could get in there. Not a secure placement at all. They need to up security. I hope there is never a shooter, but of elementary schools are getting hit we need to be prepared and this place is far from prepared.

I didn't know what to expect but now as a seasoned mother, I only have good things to say about this preschool. First I started to send my son here when he was two years old. He had separation anxiety and SPD so it took him a long time to adjust to the school setting- a late bloomer so to speak. During his first year he received a lot of help from his teachers, Ms. Yicel and Ms. Karla, and within a few months he adjusted and became a whole new little person. Their patience and perseverance absolutely paid off. As far as the actual preschool level, the teachers do an amazing job. The classrooms are divided by the younger 3 year olds and the older 3 years old. Developmentally, there is probably a reasoning to this. I personally didn't like it because essentially all the students would be eligible for TK the following year and there was two different curriculums. My son is thriving and learning his ABCs, shapes, numbers, emotional regulation. He loves school. The school also offers many different schedules which was very important to us. They have different schedules that you can choose from to fit what you are looking for. I think this is very helpful since not everyone is in the same situation. They also offer snacks and lunch which is included in certain schedules so that is very helpful in not having to prepare food for him during the day. The school recently went through a restructuring so to speak and the adjustment has been minimal and there is a lot more open communication. Oh, almost forgot. Since it is a private school the children also attend chapel once a week where they listen to stories and sing songs.

We truly appreciate the collaborative approach that they have with the parents and they encourage our involvement with activities. The teachers are well trained and in tune to not only the cognitive and educational development of the children, but also the social emotional as well, which is something HUGE for me! Our twins have been coming since they were three and it's so heartwarming to see the teachers all love on them and know them by name and share the funny stories about their day to day interactions with our kids with us as if they were members of our own family. Greater still is that OUR kids know the teachers by name--even the ones that aren't even theirs! There's such a beautiful sense of community and care. I'm so heartbroken that we aren't finishing out the year as we are relocating to the east coast come March. But I can't recommend New Hope Preschool enough to parents searching for a loving, nurturing environment where the faculty are skilled in all facets of child development. I am a huge advocate for childcare programs that help foster both emotional developmental and academic growth, and New Hope does just that . The kiddos work just as hard on their counting and learning to write their names as they do on exploring the world around them through cultural days, art and even up-close encounters with ladybugs and butterflies! After being home with me for 4 years, my twins started in Mrs. Rainys classroom last year. The amount of growth they had in that year really set them up to succeed in Kindergarten this year. They are some of the youngest students in their class and are already reading above grade level! Mrs. Rainys is a wonderful teacher and my youngest can't wait to have her next year like her big sisters! This year my youngest daughter started at New Hope in Mrs. Wickham's classroom. Mrs. Wickham is one of the original teachers that started the program and you can tell she loves what she does and truly wants the best for each child. Mrs. Johanna is also in the classroom and even though she started mid-year, she jumped right in and has been wonderful! My daughter loves school and wakes up asking "is it school today?" One thing I really appreciated is how they separate children by age and readiness, which helps each child grow at their own pace. When it comes to education, Ms. Patty is one of the best teachers I've ever met. She is incredibly dedicated and makes sure every child is learning at the highest level possible. My daughter had to repeat her class due to her October birthday, and I was worried it might set her back--but it was the opposite. Ms. Patty provided more advanced and varied work for students who were repeating, so they wouldn't have to redo the same material. I truly respect her commitment and care. She does an excellent job preparing children for kindergarten. My daughter entered kindergarten ahead of her peers and felt confident from day one. Of course, like any daycare, there can be small interactions between children, but the teachers are always approachable and willing to help resolve any concerns. The center is gated with a code required for entry, which gave me peace of mind. Although it may look like a house from the outside, it is very much a structured facility inside--which is exactly what I was looking for. Overall, I highly recommend this daycare, especially for new moms who may feel anxious about leaving their baby for the first time.
