However not all tree people get their jobs done the same way. I told them that there was water in the back yard and that the ground was soft and that he would leave ruts in the yard, but he said that he had a 4 wheel drive. He used his truck to pull the tree over while it was cut. Luckily the tree didn't fall on the house, however he got stuck in the yard made deep ruts and had to dig with shovels to get out. They didn't cut branches and lower them down, they just brought down the whole tree, and smashed a park bench, and nearly my shed. They said that they would be done in two days easy, but due to their lack of knowledge and proper equipment it took them four days. So the job got done for less than some would have done it for, and sooner than others could do it, but next time I may look a little more. Big Timber would have done it for less with the right equipment but we would have to wait for over a month. Carmen has all the best equipment and the manpower to get the job done in a day but wanted three times more. We needed to get the roof done and couldn't wait, until Christmas. After hearing about him through some neighbors, we gave Dom a call and scheduled some time for him to come discuss our ideas, likes, dislikes, etc. Not only was he the nicest guy imaginable, he was very thorough in finding out what we liked, going through photos of previous jobs and a catalog of plants that he thought would suit our taste. We talked for quite a while and he left, promising to return with sketches, pictures and a quote. He came back with exactly that. A diagram of both areas we wanted redone complete with not only what he picked out, but with some fantastic suggestions as well. We talked through everything, made some minor changes and at the end, VERY slightly adjusted the price (we ended up going with a few things that cost more than the original estimate). We talked it over and called him to let him know we were ready to go and he was there the next day with his crew completely transforming our house. Experienced, detail oriented Contractor…read more.. Rick Worley Home Improvement, LLC was initially hired to re-shingle our roof, replace the wooden fascia and gutters on our home. He was meticulous and did a wonderful job on the roof. The gutters were sub contracted out and they did a great job as well. Because of the quality of his work on the roof we then hired him to put up vinyl siding and 5 replacement windows. Again he did a great job. He is experienced and knows what he is doing, and is particularly attentive to details. We often talked to each other about how impressive his work ethic is and how detail oriented he is. He cleaned up after himself everyday before he quit for the day....and when the job was finished he cleaned up so well that you would barely know a contractor had been in. Because of changes we made to the contract and the fact that he worked alone the job took longer than we had anticipated. However, the quality of the finished job more that makes up for the extra time. His prices on both contracted jobs were fair and in line with other estimates we had received.
