On 5/26/26 I got a txt from the eye doctor's office stating they were having computer problems and was cancelling all appointments for 05/27/26 and would call to reschedule. I waited two days and no call. The following week I waited until Tuesday of the following week, still no call back. So I called and asked about rescheduling and was asked to give my name and number which I gave to the operator. Waited until the following Monday, still no call back. So on Monday, June 8,2026 I called again, told the operator what happened and I still needed to make an appointment. Her was response was not, sorry for the delay or your inconvenience, but instead she went immediately to name, number and the earliest date I have for you is August 2026, 3 months after my original date. This is terrible customer service. Through no fault of my own apparently I have to wait 3 months because of a computer problem on their end. If I waited until under 24 hours before my appointment they would have tried to charge me. Not even so much as an if they get an opening they will call. Nothing and a very dry attitude about offering any assistance for their poor customer service. During this interim between now and August I need to find another eye doctor's office. I pay good money for services but apparently that doesn't matter to Virginia Eye Institute no matter how big or beautiful their buildings are, it should be more important to provide good customer service and patient services.

Dr Singh jumped right in to find what caused the blindness in my one eye, and he prevented me from going blind in my good eye. Dr Singh makes you feel confident leaving all your ophthalmology care to him!! He always has your back! I had to have a few injections directly into the scelera of my eye, and I was thinking I'd faint dead away but I never even felt the needle one bit! It was a breeze! Dr Sing is so very experienced that he always knows what he is doing and the how to perform all procedures painlessly. He has a wonderful personality that makes you just love him! I highly recommend him and his friendly Office!

I dont have any major eye issues however I do go yearly to update my contact and glasses prescription and have never had an issue. The wait times can be a bit long at times, however never been a consistent problem. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and I feel like overall I get great care. I like them so much I referred my husband to them, and he goes here yearly as well to see Dr. Schlieper.

The reason for the two stars is when I called to speak to the accounting department with some questions, I got the rudest customer service representative I've spoken to in a long time, Andrea. She soured the whole experience for me. She was rude off the bat and impatient. Looking on yelp and Google reviews it seems this is a sour point for the entire practice regardless of location.

Dr. Pradham was nice but she said my problem was mites in my eyelashes. Sold me a little can of foam for $16 which didn't help me a bit. Took the prescription for my glasses to Costco and they were terrible. I went to another eye doctor and they got the correct prescription and now I see fine. So now I get emails from her selling her books. The a couple of weeks ago I got an email saying I owe them $100 for missing an appointment. I had canceled that appointment when I found out the prescription was wrong. I never received a reminder email or phone call so I called and they reluctantly said I would not have to pay.

Well it has been 2 weeks since I had LASIK done and it has been a life changing experience so far…read more The staff has been wonderful, and the procedure went super fast. Dr. Mullen was my doctor and I he seemed very through to make sure I was a good candidate and that the procedure was going to work well for me. they used more fancy eye equipment and doohickeys then I've ever seen for measurement. I know they are using some new laser tech (sorry don't know the name) but it was able to correct some of my astigmatism so thing have been really clear too. (there is some haloing at night but they say it will clear up in a few months. really look forward to swimming later in the summer, but I've enjoy riding my motorcycle and using regular sunglasses. The price was very affordable (to me anyway) for the new procedure. Was glad I was refereed to him and his staff.
