She insisted I feel the order and that was normal. Later when I got an eye infection from the improper fit that she fitted me for not the eye doctor. Now they have charged me over and over and wants me to pay again for another set of contacts that should have been taken care of when I said my contacts hurt. You cannot see your eye doctor again because they block you.. Worst place I have ever been. When I finally did see an eye doctor her first thing was you was fitted improperly and we can refit you with a proper pair.. even told me my contacts was under warranty. But when I went back the ASSISTANT again blocked me from the doctor and wants me to pay full price again. Do not go to this place it is not the same anymore. I would give them a 0 if I could.

I would say after my first session with Yelena, I was thinking it's possible. Her patience, coaching, and belief in me helped immensely. I had other training sessions scheduled, and it helped build confidence. She is amazing, but by the last one, I was doing it with ease. I was and am tickled and love that I can do this, and THEY WORK perfectly. What a gift. I love them. The bonus was Doc Jodi told me, " I don't look so old with my contacts in". LOL, this place makes you feel great and gets the job done. The girls up front are always smiling, and they give you chocolate. I say give Yelena a raise, heck, give everybody a raise. I called and explained my son's disability beforehand and I asked if they could handle him, they said yes. That was not true. Dr. Wortham tried so hard to get him to look at his tools that he bruised completely around my son's eye. He got visibly angry and rough. My son's was left with bruises for weeks. I will not be going again and I advise no one else with special needs going here.

It's giving someone might be making a pot of fresh collards in the back :). The office feels like your oldest aunties house, which I love. Some may say it's dated, but I disagree. It's one of those feelings where you're like this place has GOOD BONES. More importantly, if it ain't broke don't fix it. When you walk in you're greeted by the receptionist (his wife I think). She gets you checked in and you wait in the "front parlor", for them to call you back. When I was taken back to the office, I was reminded why I love coming here. The huge eye machine they use is my favorite color pink and it takes me to a place of shiny and new COULD NEVER!! Dr. Tiwari is a great listener. I never feel as if he's rushing, he takes his time to converse with you and go over your exam thoroughly. We always have wonderful conversations, and I feel comfortable asking him anything. On 5/26/26 I got a txt from the eye doctor's office stating they were having computer problems and was cancelling all appointments for 05/27/26 and would call to reschedule. I waited two days and no call. The following week I waited until Tuesday of the following week, still no call back. So I called and asked about rescheduling and was asked to give my name and number which I gave to the operator. Waited until the following Monday, still no call back. So on Monday, June 8,2026 I called again, told the operator what happened and I still needed to make an appointment. Her was response was not, sorry for the delay or your inconvenience, but instead she went immediately to name, number and the earliest date I have for you is August 2026, 3 months after my original date. This is terrible customer service. Through no fault of my own apparently I have to wait 3 months because of a computer problem on their end. If I waited until under 24 hours before my appointment they would have tried to charge me. Not even so much as an if they get an opening they will call. Nothing and a very dry attitude about offering any assistance for their poor customer service. During this interim between now and August I need to find another eye doctor's office. I pay good money for services but apparently that doesn't matter to Virginia Eye Institute no matter how big or beautiful their buildings are, it should be more important to provide good customer service and patient services.
