Bought several pallets of sod. only the top pieces looked decent but 1/3 to 1/2 of the sod I laid down in my yard were dead! I watered 2 hours daily and minimal changes. I called many times for resolution and I was told its normal to have a few "pieces" die. I showed pics to back my statement. I still did not get anywhere with my disappointment. I stated it was definitely more than a few pieces . I went back to drop off empty pallets about 1 month later and reminded them about the poor sod I received. I was fed more excuses and the last comment was " my sod at home looks fine". I would NEVER recommend Eddie's. Poor quality and poor customer service. read more

I bought three pallets last year annd after an $800 water bill. I can tell you that it looked very nice during the summer but It didn't due well thru the winter. I have huge dead spots. There are places where it still has not managed to root itself to the dirt underneath. It's lumpy to walk on. there is so much thatch water still can't get through . it has been raked at least 3 times under it all there is bare spots and the weeds are hopeless! . I keep after it, but it's almost impossible. calling them for advice isn't helpful. I was give them a a lot of money for many people and I'm very disappointed. read more

We are absolutely thrilled with the way our sod turned out. We were a little nervous when the Bahia arrived as it was brown but the owner explained that it is the way it comes and after a few days of water it will green up. He was spot on and within a week we had the most beautiful and lush grass I've ever seen. They also put St Augustine in the front and that has also taken off beautifully. Not the best experience I've ever had. I am a very inexperienced sod customer. I feel they use that to give me subPar Sod they accused me of insulting them by asking questions. Certainly offered to give me my money back if I didn't want the sod After making me wait 3 weeks to receive my side. I had to chase them down to find out if the sob was even coming every week. No warranty. No guarantee to growth. Know anything once you accept it. When they're selling you the sod, they tell you they're the best. They have the best suppliers. They have the best sod and they charge you for it. They definitely took the cream of the crop to sod their own property and left me with very weak broken up. No corners. Sod to do my yard with not what I paid for. It's now been less than a week and it just keeps turning browner. It's not my fault. I haven't even discussed it with them because of their stance. the best compliment I can give Ed's sod is unreliable. I called on three occasions for a quote on sod. First time I was told Ed should be out that day. No show no call. So this is a review based on the rock and fill dirt we didn't purchase any sod or plants but the plants were pretty. I read through all the reviews and I think it's kind of ridiculous to rate a business based on some of the criteria mentioned. we got either the last or one of the last pick ups of the day, and I usually hate being one of the last people served at a business that does any form of manual labor because more often than not by 4 they're ready to be done. We probably spent about 15 minutes there and got our order filled and got out, they have high quality products, and based on comparing other local companies offering similar products they're prices are perfectly adequate for what we needed. I called Eddie sod on Wednesday, September 7 and ordered a pallet of Bahia and asked for it to be delivered. The secretary or Linda advised me that Eddie was going out of town in the morning which would be Thursday and said he might be back early will have a delivered if he is if not it will be delivered Friday. Well Friday morning came and went and now it's 20 minutes before they close and still no sod my husband said that he called them and got no answer left two messages no call back so I decided to call them. In the meantime I guess my husband had gotten in touch with her so when she answered the phone she said Jesus Christ the friggin sod is on the way and hung up on me. The day that I ordered it she was in such a hurry to get me off the phone again saying hold or don't hold I don't really care but stop call me I can't hear what's on the other line rude she took my credit card number down and apparently didn't write the numbers right so today now we're talking September 12 she calls and leaves a message saying that my card was declined so I called her back and I said maybe if you weren't so rude and in such a rush to get me off the phone and then a voice comes out of the background and it's Eddie the owner of Eddies Sod and he said don't fucking call here anymore you fucking bitch so I will never use that company again normal anybody that I know everybody should know that that woman and the owner of that business are just not nice rotten people. I am a paying customer $236 for a pallet of Bahia sod for some bullshit attitude totally not worth it! I had Eddies Sod replace my front and side yard in Bahia and am very pleased with the sod and with the work they did removing the sand and grass that was there. They were very careful to mark each sprinkler head and zone box and make sure they sodded around them and did not run over them with the Bobcat. After the job was completed they checked all sprinkler heads and made sure they all worked correctly. They are very busy and I did need to leave a message for the Linda a few times, but she did respond that same day in each instance. My friend bought a palm tree from Eddies landscaping ,she was so happy with it the tree died in less then a year . and now they won't replace it. All she wanted to do was replace the tree not money back or anything but they refuse to do anything about it , they didn't even bother to come out and take a look at the tree she paid a lot of money. They are ones that planted the tree they should be able to replace it, I'm advising my friend to take it to small claims court. My landscaper ordered 6 pallets of Bahia sod from them for my front yard -which was delivered by Eddies sod - I came out and even spoke with the delivery guy about it - the first layers of the pallets were good underneath was garbage - dry incomplete pieces - dead pieces that did not come back with watering everyday - to top it all off it looks nothing like argentine Bahia - if you drive down wiscon road and look at the pastures with the spiky stuff all thru it that is what this company delivered in my yard and passed off as argentine Bahia - they should be ashamed of themselves this was absolute garbage! This business was great. Was given an idea that would keep me and my blind and deaf mini dachshund safe during Irma so she could go to the bathroom. Put sod in a kiddie pool and place it in the garage. Couldn't find sod at any of the big chain stores. I had two pallets of sod delivered today and the grass was nice and thick and seem to be good quality and the owner himself actually dropped it off to us and spent probably 45 min explaining to us how to lay it and how to take care of it and just helped answer some of our other lawn and garden/ landscaping questions we had. He really took time with us and made us feel good about our new grass, he was a very personable guy and his wife is very helpful as well. Im tired of commenting on your sod job. You guys did a terrible job and i also have pictures to show that when you laid the sod, you just threw it down and the sod didnt meet the existing ground level. You just let the pieces stick up over the existing ground level by the road. You should have cut the pieces so they would flat with the ground. Thats what im talking about. How do you mow that sod with 3 to 4 inches of sod sitting above existing ground level? I cut the pieces and made them fit level. As for all the gaps, time will tell how that will look. read more

I called to get an estimate, it took the guy 3 days to come out. When he did he said it would be a week maybe 2 weeks before they could to the job. 4 1/2 weeks later they still didn't do the job. I called and talked to the owners wife who was one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. I tried to find out when they could do the job. She said not for another 2 or 3 weeks.
