They have great lunch deals, it is always good. Call ahead and order if you can it tends to get crazy in there around lunch time.

When ever I am in Southern Iowa I will go in. I was not so certain I was going to care for the new…read morelocation because so many times when a business expands, the experience goes down. Boy, was I wrong! I went in early June 2026. We lingered around the garden seeds, canning supplies, bulk meats. There were so many grocery items on sale that are not featured in their flyers! Oh, and since June is National Dairy Month, we were treated to a free soft serve cone. The staff is helpful and efficient. Next trip I hope to enjoy lunch there. See you in 2027.

Ok I had not been to the new location yet So a couple extra…read morebucks And a bit of time extra Off to cantril Right on Hwy 2 is the new location From the outside it looks BIG Large parking lot But on the inside well.... Spacious More room to walk inside Lunch prime time maybe 12:45 ish Small serve your self and pay by the lb 12/lb plus drink think bishops with not much to choose from Pepsi products for fountain drinks And coffee Smoked chicken, meatloaf, cheesy mashed potatoes, green beans They were out of noodles.... 25 bucks for two for a basic one trip thing Meatloaf was good green beans were ok Mashed potatoes were ok Chicken had a different taste might to have been oak smoked or an exotic wood.. I am spoiled as a chef lol The chicken was ok... No free ice cream they wanted a buck for cup or cone. It was ok on the food... but we drove past a few places that would to have been same price for 2x the food. Off to shopping More room for folks Hard to find some of the specials And out and out bait and switch on the Nathen's hot dog deal the add listed the plain all beef and what was in the store was the ultra spicy ones... That was my main reason for the trip as 99 cents per lb would have been good for a winter stock up item... They did have the biscuits as box of 100 for 20 bucks And bulk fish triangles for 1.99 a lb And Heinz close dated ketchup 44 oz for 2.99 So not a total bust I might be back if I get more freezer space But I do almost as good in west of Bloomfield at Hwy 2 discount

Had a sandwich for lunch. The dining room was very pleasant…read more Decided to see if there were kiwis available. Picked up the 6 pack marked $4.99. Forgot to look at receipt till I got home and saw I was charged. $7.99. Disgraceful. The lunch was good. The employees are very nice and helpful. I feel sorry for customers with carts full of merchandise getting up charged, big time. From now on I'm going to eat lunch occasionally. I'll consider Hyvee as a convenience store to purchase the one item to run in to buy. More expensive but CONVENIENT for the 1-2 items you have to have. Otherwise go to Walmart for regular shopping. BTW is very nice that all your stores offer to Round up the purchase to the nearest dollar to give to charity the change. I suspect the motive is the huge tax write off Hyvee gets with those small contributions thousands that add up! If in the rare event I make a purchase at Hyvee I'll skip the round up. I already do my own charitable giving. It's also interesting how Sale signs are everywhere in sight. But nothing is on sale, really. Across the street Walmart has the same merchandise at a lower price.
