While some aspects of the compression procedure itself are TRULY, truly uncomfortable, the staff have always been professional and friendly. In each visit, generally I interact with security, the out-patient receptionist, a "runner" (what I call the person who takes me to radiology) and the radiologist (the person who actually performs the mammogram). Each interaction sparks feelings of warmth, comfort and care, especially with the radiologist. One must be comfortable and relaxed with the person who will conduct such an intimate procedure.
