10/21/2024 between 8:30pm and 10pm. The worst service I have ever had at any bar, ever. There was a n off duty employee sitting at the end of the bar (young asian male) that I knew worked there blaring his phone at full volume, watching a football game. Do people seriously not have any manners anymore? Totally rude and couldn't care less that he was intruding on paying customers trying to have a nice evening. The bartender (female who never gave her name) also couldn't care less that he was being obnoxious. In fact they were sharing food together while people were waiting to get a drink. Unbelievable that this is what laughingly passes for customer service these day's. I will never waste my time or money at this sad little place again. Bar or theatre! read more

First of all, STALE popcorn - chewy like it was popped 2 days ago and drowning in so much butter sauce. How is this even possible at an indy theatre? Turkey panini was cold inside, wet/soggy and burned outside. Turkey meat was almost not there - and what was tasted kinda off/old (gamey). I took 2 bites and was done. My "white sangria" was watered down and very cheap tasting with no fruit ingredients or flavors despite the long list of ingredients touted on the menu. Price wasn't cheap for the food either. This place has a very cool vibe. Seating is all outdoors, so don't recommend coming here on a day where it is too hot or raining. There are mosquitos. It is really cool to come at night. There is a lot of lights, plants, fountains. It honestly feels like you're watching into the Bachelor house. Definitely Tiki vibes and lots of tiki style drinks, though they do have a full bar as well as beer and wine. I did have an order of truffle fries, which were very good, but a bit pricey. They also have specials for happy hours, as well as daily specials M-F. Definitely a wonderful place to just sit and talk with friends in an intimate setting. read more

Alright, I gave it some time and came back for a late lunch and tiki cocktails yesterday, and to put it mildly, this joint has TOTALLY redeemed itself! Mahi tacos, delicious, Cuban sandwich very good, tiki drinks (151 Swizzle) OFF THE HOOK, just delicious!. So now I would highly recommend this joint! Only two minor issues, there is still no good way to see a drink menu. The QR code doesn't open a proper web page on my Android phone (server said it "works better on an iPhone"? There is no printed version of the drinks menu. Also, related, the "sneak peak" menu for their upcoming revised drink menu that was on the table was not promising. I really wish they would stick to the fantastic tiki drink selection they had for so long that was so good. Frankly, it's one of my primary motivations for coming here. The server and mixologist on duty were awesome pros! Highly recommended! read more

5 Star for amazing ambiance, outstanding food, and great service! My go-to meals at Eden bar have become the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup (and the Carnitas Tacos. The Grilled Cheese is my favorite in town. It's decadent and luxurious (can food be luxurious? I think so!) and served on thick-cut ciabatta bread that is covered in butter and toasted to perfection. Inside is a white fontina cheese that is creamy, slightly bitter, and AMAZING. Paired with the tomato soup (you have the choice of soup, fries, chips, salad, and mac 'n cheese- but always go with the soup!) and you have a match made in dipping heaven. Seriously, most folks pass by the Eden Bar on the way to catch a flick, but this meal gets me there on its own. While the grilled cheese/tomato soup combo is hard to beat, the Carnitas Tacos (3) are excellent. LOCALLY FARMED PORK. Yes, plz! It's served with tomatillo and rice and beans and makes for a hefty lunch. The drinks are great, but I'll let you read reviews of those more knowledgeable in this arena. Finally, the service. I had the Hills Have Eyes drink here and the cranberry baked brie. I liked the vegetarian options on the menu like the black bean burger. The waitress at the Eden Bar said the mixed drinks are only available at the Eden Bar. But you can bring your Eden Bar drinks into the Enzian. You can only get beer and wine drinks inside the Enzian Theater. The Enzian Theater and the Eden Bar have the same owner but you have to pay separately at each one. She said the menus are shared but some items are exclusive to the Eden Bar since they are too time consuming to make during a movie. read more

This place is very cute. The whole bar is surrounded by a garden and there's tables throughout in different areas. There are string lights everywhere that creates a slightly romantic ambiance along with some outdoor couches in the more open field area. They offered a full menu until about 11, then had limited food (which was still generous)... all appetizers and flatbreads. I had a fantastic fungi flatbread and it really was fantastic. The Gorgonzola cheese was strong but the earthiness of the mushrooms and spinach toned it down. Thin and crispy crust. All service was fast, food and drinks, and the servers were all very nice. The food menu provides a handful of choices from apps (the truffle french fries are delicious), salads, pizzas, sandwiches, meals, and desserts (raspberry beignets!) There is also a full bar to choose from with delicious wines, a good choice of beers and liquor. Ask about the daily specials and happy hour menu that ends at 6pm. My husband and I came here tonight for the first time. The atmosphere was so cute with dim lighting outside and casual patio tables with umbrellas. Our server was really nice and attentive. The food however was not great. So salty, I couldn't finish any of the 3 dishes we ordered. We ordered the fried cauliflower as an appetizer and it came with a "sweet and salty" sauce on the side-- the sauce was literally soy sauce. It was a strange combination with fried salty cauliflower and couldn't finish it. I ordered the chicken melt as my main and it was so tough and no sauce. The fries again were so salty I couldn't finish either. The water smelled like "Florida water" if you know what I mean-- swampy and tasted awful. I wasn't expecting much from a theater bar, but wanted to give an honest review. Would I return? No. read more

Each time our experience was excellent. The first time several of my friends ordered the "chicken tenders" while I ordered The yummy chicken quesadilla. All I can say is these are not chicken tenders folks these are crazy delicious bites of fried chicken that would rival Nashville or anywhere else. I had several bites and all I could do was think of the chicken for days until I came back and had my own plate to myself. If you like fried chicken, I can't understand anyone who wouldn't, order their chicken tenders. If you like fried chicken and order something else you will be jealous!! The events manager was very responsive and accommodating (especially compared to other venues in town who turned us away because our budget wasn't big enough). The Eden Bar is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink while waiting for your movie, and then return to afterwards to discuss the movie. We do this a lot. It's also totally acceptable to visit with no intention of seeing the movie, it's a great bar all on it's own. The menu has a good selection of food and drinks. My favorite is the Sangria, but I'll usually give whatever they have as a special a try. I'm not a fan of the beet hummus (which is surprising, as I love beets & hummus individually), but everything else I've tried has been fantastic. Service can be a bit slow, which is the only thing I'll dock them a star for. Especially when you are going to a movie it can be irritating waiting on a server. I've had this happen more than once, so it really helps to let them know you are going into the movie and ask for your check before you are finished with your drink. Overall, fantastic place. if you like a bit of chili soup in your beef, get the bowl, not the cup. it's delicious and taste like someone shoved a meatloaf sized portion of beef in the chili. this is what ALL chili should taste like, with subsistence. the chicken tenders are the best fried chicken pieces i've tasted in central florida. tender, seasoned, perfectly battered. the truffle fries are the most consistently flavored, crisp potatoes and strong truffle salt. the parmesan cheese are more of a garnish on the top, they don't usually make it all the way through each fry. that's ok, the focus is on the truffle. but other places that serve truffle fries that somehow get soaked and soggy, these don't get soggy. tastes great with the chili. read more

Eden Bar's vibe, energy, and patrons are what brings me back. I feel good about supporting a local business in my town of Maitland because those are very hard to find nowadays. The drinks are good and the staff is super friendly. However, the food is a bit inconsistent. It had been some time since I ate at Eden bar, and came back for the Film Festival and because I went to the Film Festivals previews with free food from local restaurants. Eden Bar/Enzian table had these AMAZING fried chicken sliders and I have been craving ever since. However, I was disappointed that the menu didnt actually have these sliders, so I opted for the friend chicken basket with fries. My husband ordered the cheese pizza and a side of Truffle Parmesan Fries. My chicken tender basket was delicious. It tasted like the same chicken from the sliders, but how I wish they would put the sliders on the menu! The chicken had nice flavor, wasnt burnt, the pieces were large that I couldnt eat all four of them (and I can eat!). I was disappointed in the Truffle Parmesan Fries and the cheese pizza. Seeing the fries in my chicken basket, and the truffle fries, I regretted ordering the truffle fries because they looked exactly the same, except the truffle fries had pieces of parmesan on top. Thats pretty much it. Dont waste your money ordering both thinking that the flavors will be different. The pizza was the saddest contender. Had zero flavor. The crust was barely cooked through, the cheese tasted extremely processed. Overall, it tasted like a frozen pizza that was cooked in a low heated oven. I stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon recently for a matinee showing of Cold War. With time for lunch, I ordered a Samuel Adams seasonal on draft and the Chicken and Fries. Four buttermilk hand battered chicken tenders served with honey mustard and French fries with ketchup. The chicken tenders are four strips of white meat and are good sized. And the portion of French fries is plenty. A good lunch before the movie, and is also available in the theater. Both the chicken tenders and French fries were hot when served, so service is very attentive. As well as friendly. Eden Bar is ideal for food and/or drinks before or after the movie. Especially when temperatures are cooler and the humidity is lower, such as the weather we have experienced in recent weeks. The bar and dining tables are always clean, and the space between tables is plenty. Unlike some places where the tables are close together and space is tight. And with the garden setting underneath the oaks, this makes for a relaxing dining experience. Enzian is hands down my favorite movie theater. And having Eden Bar makes the movie experience that much better. Service is always friendly, and the food has always been delicious. read more

What's unique aside from the obvious is the option of dining while seated in comfortable couches watching a movie on a single screen cinema. It is truly a beautiful space . Eden bar carries a distinctive selection of liquor, wine, and beer; including bottles of vintage liquor like pre-Prohibition Bourbon and Cuban Rum. On any given day, typically they host a variety of food and happy hour specials. The menu per se is unlike any 'movie theater' I have seen; tapas style Mediterranean dishes, gourmet salads & sandwiches, pizzas, and large plates. It is quite an impressive selection for a theater. The service is definitely a hit or miss. If you are lucky, you just might get a waitress who actually listens while you place the order. I guess the emphasize is on a causal, relaxed environment? Mind you, the reason I keep emphasizing "Movie Theater", simply because that is exactly what it is. Don't make the blunder of walking in expecting an exceptional gastronomical experience. I've driven by this place, on almost a daily basis, for 7 years and had never visited until a few weeks ago. It's cute! They have plenty of seating, both at the bar and at tables surrounding it, and there are Christmas lights that create a nice atmosphere (I was there at night). I had a tequila drink with some muddled berries, and it was delicious. And potent! I don't remember what my friend had, but he liked his drink. I tried it and wasn't a fan, but I don't like whiskey/bourbon/whatever-he-had, so I can't really judge it. :) We shared an order of the chimichurri steak skewers and they were cooked well and flavorful. My husband and I came here for dinner and the atmosphere was really nice! They have a great outdoor seating area with lots of lights, a big bar, and a decent amount of high tops and tables. Our waitress was friendly and the service was good. The only thing we weren't really impressed with was the food. We got the Parmesan truffle fries, pear and prosciutto flatbread, and the chicken melt sandwich with chili. All of it was just okay and lacking a lot of flavor. The flatbread was majority cheese and the truffle fries didn't taste like they had any truffle on them? They also had about 3 pieces of parmesan cheese on top and that was it. I read some great reviews about this place so we wanted to give it a try but I'm pretty bummed about the food so we'll probably only come back for drinks next time. read more

Eden Bar is a GEM in the central Florida area. The ambience is so lovely and perfect for an outdoor drink. The bar area is covered and nestled within trees and shade. There are other sunny tables/couches on the outskirts of the bar for when the weather is nice. The crowd is very different from the standard Orlando bars- with patrons of varying ages and backgrounds, it's easy to feel comfortable, even if you are enjoying an afternoon drink alone. The handcrafted cocktails are awesome and rotate seasonally. The cocktails can be a bit pricey, but I'm willing to pay a bit more for an inventive drink made with love. Their happy hour is from 11-5, which isn't great for the working crowd, but PERFECT for a mid-day drink on a relaxing day off. Worth the drive to Maitland. :) read more

First of all, I love Enzian. It is a true Central Florida gem that takes you back to the days of early cinema. Eden Bar, being attached to Enzian, kinda follows those same vibes. It's a great place to grab and bite and/or drink before catching a movie at Enzian. But Eden Bar is a great place for a visit even if you're not going to a movie at Enzian. The bar is outside but there is a covered area for those rainy Florida days. You're surrounded by lush greenery and it's just lovely. Sometimes they have live music as well. This is my favorite place in the Winter Park area. My time in Florida was short but I cannot tell you how many times I visited the Eden Bar. Sometimes for a cocktail and appetizer before seeing a film at The Enzian, sometimes for a dinner and wine after a long week. The outdoor setting can't be beat, and provides an atmosphere that I simply have to believe is reminiscent of a bygone era. If possible, sit at the bar and watch the bar staff, ( most of whom were there the entire time I lived in the area) expertly create cocktails while participating in friendly banter with customers and coworkers alike. Although I'm usually only out there for maybe a half hour at most, it's almost always entertaining to watch other movie-goers and regulars. There's always a very eclectic group here. I haven't had the opportunity to have any food from Eden Bar. Although I'm fairly certain that they share the same kitchen as the Enzian and therefore have a great menu selections and quality. I usually grab a tasty Left Hand Milk Stout or two here before I see the movies. Definitely hit up Eden Bar if you're in the mood for a great crowd and some quality drinks. On the side of a very busy street lies a little slice of heaven. Apparently, they call this place Eden Bar. The place is beyond gorgeous and the edded twinkly lights just turns it into something not even Disney's magic can capture. The Decor: Some may say it's cheesy but for a die hard romantic like myself, I thought it was perfect. I thought everything was perfectly placed to create an intimate setting. It seems like there's a place for everything and whether you're looking to be just a few to a party the location is ambiance is great. The Food: The only fault in the stars is the food. I had the nachos as an appretizer and they were devine. The cheese tasted like someone actually took the time to develope flavor not just stick some velveta in the microwave. However I got the Wagu burger with truffle chips and they left a lot to be desired. The amount of liquid that dripped from my burger covered my entire plate and made a truffle chip soup so to speak. The truffle chips also had too much oil for my taste. Although they were crispy they were one of the worst natural chips I had. The service: We had a young male waiter that was pretty attentive. There weren't many people in the restaurant so service was good. Nothing to write about just decent. I have no complaints. Overall I would definitely return to eat I just think I may stay away from the beef items and stick with chicken. It' hard to mess up chicken. read more

The Eden Bar is a great spot to hang out at and grab a few drinks, especially now that the weather's really nice and will be even nicer in a few months. As Jeff O. mentioned, it's a well-designed establishment and is highly functional. (Took the words right out of my mouth, Jeff!) It knows what it wants to do and does it exceptionally well. I've never dined here (only inside The Enzian) and am usually only here for a drink, a few beers or to catch the free outdoor movies. I visited with a friend last night to catch the outdoor presentation of Dazed and Confused, which was very enjoyable. We got there maybe about 15 minutes before it began, though, so by the time we found a place to sit, it had to be toward the back on the grass adjacent to the bar, and even off to the side a little bit. No big deal. We also forgot to bring something (a blanket/chairs) on which to sit, though that was kind of my fault for forgetting. (I'd been to these outdoor shows before and just forgot to bring something, or to tell my friend to.) If you're going to go to these shows, just try and arrive early so as to secure a good spot to sit. Last night, my friend had a hamburger or cheeseburger, which she said was good ... though she was a little alarmed at the price. (I think she said her bill for the burger and a beer was close to $20!) I'm not sure which beer she ordered, though it may have been a more highly-priced draft beer (I had a sip and it didn't taste familiar, nor did I hear what she said it was), so maybe that had something to do with the price. Interesting. I had only 2 tall cans of PBR here last night and my bill was $5 and change, which is perfectly reasonable. The service was very good last night, considering that I only saw one server on the grassy area where most people were sitting to watch the movie. The service at the bar is perfectly fine, too, and the cocktails are great. There's limited seating at the bar itself, though there are plenty of tables at its outskirts, and none are too far from the bar if you have to go over for whatever reason. Be sure to check out the calendar of events for a list of outdoor events. Coming up in the next few weeks, you can see such movies as Spaceballs and Animal House for free outside, just as was the case with Dazed and Confused last night.
