It's been a long time since I have eaten there, so I had to visit again when I received a promotion for twenty dollars off. I made a reservation for a Saturday evening on Resy in advance. Since valet parking is free, I took advantage of it and headed straight to check in. I was greeted immediately and sent to the table where I could watch the open kitchen. I was told most of the drinks were strong, so I tried the mezcal drink (14 dollars). I forgot the name, but it was smoky, herbal, and lightly boozy. It was such a nice sipping drink. I was very happy that my server was very honest in mentioning the salmon was farmed raised, so I decided to go with the airline chicken instead (26 dollars). Before I was given my chicken, the chef near my table gave me a complimentary hors D'oeuvre. It looked to be a small wonton bowls filled with ahi tuna with some guac topping I think. Whatever it was, I was in heaven. It was fresh and flavorful, making my taste buds happy. When the chicken arrived, it came mostly deboned. It was tender enough, but could have been a little more juicy. It could been a bit more seasoned as well since I tasted mostly chicken without any other flavors. The vegetables, however, were far better as the potatoes were roasted and seasoned perfectly. I thought there would be mostly grilled vegetables, but the potatoes overtook them. The other vegetables were still amazing. I wish there was more of the green salsa, but it was thin. It did, however, added the kick and flavor to the chicken. It was still a very enjoyable entree. For dessert, they handed a separate menu, and I had to do the creme brulee (11 dollars). It was quite generous, but still light enough to finish. The crust was crispy without being too powerful, and the vanilla specks just made the flavor perfect. The service was excellent and professional. When it was time to pay, I showed the email to my server, who got the manager to verify. The manager immediately checked and gave me the twenty dollars off, making the total price before tips about 33 dollars after tax. It was a great deal. Both the manager and server checked up with me on the dinner and were very friendly. The atmosphere is upscale, but t-shirt and jeans are still welcome here. I love the open kitchen, and you are welcome to talk to the chefs. I am so happy I visited Luke's again after a long time. I loved their sister restaurant, Lumas, and was sad they closed a while back ago. While Luke's can be a bit pricey, they still have some items at reasonable prices (like the chicken, burgers, and sandwiches). Plus, if you sign up for their email, you can get promotions as well. My wife and I have visited Luke's a number of times over the years and have enjoyed our time due to the food, service, and the atmosphere. We met a friend for lunch recently and chose the "Lunchbox", that comes with small-sized soup, salad, chips, and a choice of chicken tacos, yellowfin tuna on toast, or Chef's choice vegetables. (Think Bento box). What a pleasant surprise! But wait! There's more! Coffee or tea and gelato or ice cream, are also included. Definitely a fun lunch deal! My wife raved about the flavor of the chicken in her tacos. The soup and salad packed flavor for their size. My yellowfin tuna was okay. The mango gelato? Fresh, and the perfect way to end the meal. This restaurant was absolutely stunning! Very good for date night or even a quick hangout with a friend! I didn't get a chance to experience the sit down because they didn't have a table ready for me and my friend, so we sat at the bar which I didn't mind! The service was actually really good because of the gentleman that was helping us. Once the switch shifts the service wasn't as on point but it was still good. The food was amazing aside from the sautéed coconut shrimp that we had it wasn't that good but they were very accommodating and end up switching out the meal for wings which omg best choice ever! Back again approximately 1 year later. This time we went mid summer to use their $20 off promo. Unfortunately they did not have the amazing cilantro mussels and deviled eggs. We did try the Cubano sliders though which were delicious! We also had the fontina/basil/tomato flatbread, this was flavorful but I do think it could have benefitted from a bit more tomato sauce. My wife and brother in law had the steak sandwiches, and they enjoyed them. I had the ginger soy salmon which was perfectly grilled. The ponzu cucumber salad that comes with the salmon was a generous portion so if you are planning to add a vegetable side you may need to share the side. That's what I did with the broccolini. I think the broccolini should have been a little more charred and a little more of the chili vinaigrette... more chili less vinegar. My ten year old enjoyed the cheeseburger plain and my 14 year old enjoyed the lobster frites but would have rather had the Cuban sliders as an entree. He's not wrong they were that good. I've always loved this spot - the food has never been a let down. They always have a seasonal menu that is fresh and full of new options. The service and staff are always attentive and responsive, it is perfect for dates with the lighting. I think my only gripe is that the restaurant doesn't have an identity where the aesthetic feels high end, so does the food. But the location doesn't necessarily reflect that. We sat at the bar, which is a massive horseshoe shape, easily accommodating 20+ customers. While there was no happy hour as we went on a Saturday, we each ordered a drink, a starter and an entree. The flavors of everything I had we truly impeccable (the sauce used in the Crab & Avocado starter is to die for). I will say when the starter came out, I didn't think the portion size felt filling/ like enough food but I can honestly say that the flavor was worth the price and portion. Just came here for the first time because I was just looking for a restaurants in the area because I was starving. So I decided to just stop here grab a drink, grab some food and head to a friends's home. So I ordered the wings and I decided to get them extra crispy. I sat there and had a drink at the bar myself, and that was delicious. The wings were even better, the wings were so good that we finished them in a matter of moments and I made an order for two. I wanna say a few hours later, we ended up coming back to have the wings again because they were so good. They were still juicy, crispy, full of flavor and everything you would want in crispy wings/dry rub. Can't go wrong with a salty snack to pair with a cold cocktail. -mushroom, ham, fig, goat cheese flatbread: plenty for 2 people to share. We love fig in our charcuterie boards so this was practically the best version of a charcuterie board on a flatbread. Service was decent. Bustling New American dining in Orlando's Maitland area. On the eve of my last licensing exams, we chose Luke's to drop studying, wind down and just enjoy a good meal. We chose right. Service was fantastic, knowledgeable and fun. The food was incredible, each plate was a star. We started off with the PB&J spare ribs, because well, we had to try this combination and we were pleasantly surprised. We also ordered the Flat Iron Steak, the Rock Shrimp and the Roasted Parsnips. Steak was cooked perfectly and beautifully tender. The Rock Shrimp was a flavor bomb and the Roasted Parsnips were phenomenal. We were excited to return to Luke's after several years away, especially after hearing such positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. About halfway through our meal, we began to feel rushed. The staff asked to clear plates while we were still eating from said plates, a dessert menu arrived while half of our party was still on their entrées, and the check was presented before we had even finished dessert. In fact, we were going to order more drinks. We were at the restaurant for only about 90 minutes for a three-course meal, ordered promptly, and were mindful not to overstay our welcome. The food was enjoyable, but the service lacked the hospitality you expect from a restaurant at this level. Instead of feeling welcomed to enjoy the evening with friends, we felt like the table was being turned as quickly as possible. We had the mushroom soup and artichoke dip for starters, and the rigatoni and filet mignon for main dishes. Mushroom soup was creamy and full of flavor 5/5. Artichoke dip was really good, but very filling/a bit oily 4.5/5. Rigatoni was delicious and you can really taste the wine in the sauce 5/5. This place truly impressed me. I hadn't looked it up beforehand, so I didn't know what to expect, but everything we tried was outstanding. We started with the Thai coconut shrimp and tuna tartare, both incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. The server mentioned that most of their ingredients are locally sourced, which you can definitely taste. I ordered the crab cakes for my entrée and they did not disappoint. Yum! I stopped in this weekend to enjoy a meal with my family and I was very impressed. The atmosphere is wonderful. It's perfect for groups - they had many tables ready for larger settings. However, the dim lighting also made it seem like a great date night stop. To start we all decided that dips were the way to go. We tried the chips and dip as well as the fondue. The chips and dip were definitely freshly made - nice potato chips with a BLT and onion dip. To die for! The fondue was perfect for the seafood lovers at the table and served with what seemed to be pita chips - some of the best I've had. Most of my group tried fish entrees. All of them were cooked to perfection! We had salmon, halibut, swordfish, and tuna at the table. The fish was amazing but the vegetables really took all of the dishes to the next level. The appetizers came out seperately as they became available which was perfect because it allowed us to finish the first before starting the second. The sausage Salumi flatbread was delish. Amazing time at Luke's last Friday. We came early for dinner around 5. They do have a mandatory, but complimentary, valet parking so be aware of that. Entrance was presentable. Weather was beautiful outside, so we asked to sit on the patio. Very clean, free of leaves and debris. Fans were on, plants were nice and the tables were clean. Great environment out there! Slid in just in time for some happy hour specials, which are a couple dollars per some apps and drinks. The wings were excellent. So fresh, hot and crispy. Must try! We started with the oysters on the half shell and the yellow fin tuna tartar. The tuna was flavorful with the perfect blend of spice and sweetness with a hint of mint. Oysters....I love em but they are oysters...lol. Entrée were the pork chop, New York strip and I had the Filet Mignon. The meats were perfectly cooked to order with excellent seasonings and sides. There is nothing I enjoy more than a fresh made Bernaise sauce. The service was a little lacking. It started with asking for an ice tea no lemon and receiving ice tea with a lemon....not a huge deal but obviously the waiter was not listening... Appetizers arrived with oysters first, then 7 or 8 minutes later the tartar....again, not a huge deal but why not bring them together? Apps cleared away....then came the entrée. Once again.... The pork chop showed up alone... Then 3-4 minutes later my filet.... 5-6 minutes later the NY steak.... Not sure if the kitchen was having timing issues or what but we waited until all the dishes arrived before eating to be polite. The service was spotty at best and a bit of a disappointment when you are eating at an upscale restaurant. We came for Father's Day and they had great little touches for the Dads, can't knock that. A free beer, a nice card, and then cute cards with questions at the table for great conversation during our meal. However, the food was only fair and Luke's did not have changing tables in the bathrooms. We get it's a tavern with a FL vibe but it's also a restaurant and families have kids. I could have taken my baby out to the car but it was with the valet service. Luke's doesn't make it easy to self park because as you pull in, the valet is right there causing backup traffic if you wanted to attempt self parking. This caused a large headache, an unhappy baby, and an overall bad experience. Please consider adding changing tables in the bathrooms since there isn't a designated ladies room at the restaurant. I can't recommend Luke's as I don't want other families to be put in this situation. read more

Just popping in to update my review of Luke's because they've become one of my fave places for elevated takeout. It's been awhile since I've dined in, but I am currently obsessed with their roasted mushroom soup and have ordered it 3 times in the last week. It's made with crispy leek, chives, and truffle and OMG I could eat it every day... probably one of the best soups I've ever had. I would legit sell a kidney to get my hands on this recipe (lol). I also really like their deviled eggs, chips & BLT dip, Florida citrus salad, and their garlic sausage, salumi, and chili crunch sourdough flatbread.
