They also carved out a lovely hillside with custom stairs, a spacious terrace, and game trails perfect for enjoying the view. LEI works with YesPlease.Garden (YPG) who managed the design process and Fresh Coat Restoration who completed the new fence. We are very happy with our project and would recommend LEI because they were professional, courteous, reliable, and provided clear and upfront pricing. Documenting decisions in writing proved helpful for keeping everyone on the same page. Any problems we had were resolved fairly, such as correcting the direction of our stairs. Aaron is a man of his word but prefers to conduct most of his business through texting. We first contacted LEI and they promptly scheduled a time to visit our property with YPG to see what was possible within the budget we set out. We completed the design with YPG and LEI scheduled a time for the project demolition. A later approximate time for planting was set, but that was dependent on the availability of the various plants we had selected. Everything scoped in the design was completed within the budget and any add-ons we later requested were priced separately and fairly.

The quality of the work was excellent throughout. The paver patio, carport, and front entry all turned out beautifully, and the plants, irrigation, and lighting were installed with great care. We were especially impressed by the rock and pebble work, particularly the dry creek and front mow strip. He came back with an almost $14K estimate on April 14. I'm 66 and have lung cancer, and needed the work done, so I signed the paperwork. Then the waiting game started. Over the next month I contacted the company at least 5 times by phone and email. First the wife/secretary was sick, then they were out of town, then "we're working on the May calendar", then another excuse, followed by silence. Since then my son-in-law and I got the ground leveled and prepped and are laying the pavers this weekend. Remember I'm 66 with terminal cancer and already have the pavers AND bullnose. It's NOT THAT HARD. The pergola's going in next week. It's very frustrating to deal with a contractor that has absolutely no communication skills. If you don't want the job, just tell me, don't jack me around for a month. Estimate expired May 14. Such a waste of what little time I have left. Three thumbs WAY down for this bozo.

Great design and installation of tasteful spotlights, mushroom lights, and some custom lights in the paver patterns. The Black Diamond team workers were fast, clean, organized, courteous, and their craftsmanship was excellent and the finished front of the house was a very custom and professional job. They were also flexible, which is probably most important. It now has a very modern, Tuscan look. What a transformation from cracked concrete! Jeff was a master at understanding what we wanted in a backyard landscape, combining a side garden that was organic and informal with a central design that was more modern and structured. He developed a plan for using our backyard in intelligent zones with areas for the hot tub, grilling and dining, lounging, and a central focal point which was the fire pit and seat wall. He ensured the views from all windows were beautiful and selected a range of unusual plants that would be mostly evergreen and water-wise. He specified plants that bloomed at different times of the year, had changing foliage, moved with the breezes, provided screening from neighbors, were scented, and attracted hummingbirds, butterflies and bees. We spend a considerable amount of time in our backyard and enjoy every thoughtful detail that Jeff included. His design included plans for drainage (including French drains in the patio), an underground sprinkler system, lighting, and concrete etching.
