We enjoyed the Taylor Swift visit and songs, lip gloss making, cupcakes and tote decorating activities! Her suggestion on food choice via a nearby vendor was also perfect for the occasion. Everyone in attendance had a wonderful time crafting (we chose stuffed animal puppies, complete with hearts, collars, and tshirts, as well as lava lip glosses). The store is gorgeous, clean and sophisticated, and the staff that helped the kids craft that day were friendly and knowledgeable. It was also great that the parking lot was nearby and covered (it was raining heavily that day - but we didn't get wet at all!) From the very start, Kristie was so kind, caring, and devoted to making sure their dogs find the perfect forever homes. You can tell how much love they pour into every one of these sweet pups. Amanda and Danielle, that both fostered her were so caring and helpful with all my extra questions too! Gracie Mae has already stolen our hearts -- she gives the best kisses, loves belly rubs, and always wants to be right in the middle of the family action. She's shaken, not stirred, and now officially ruling our castle. Thanks to Happily Ever After Rescue, Margaret a.k.a Margarita became Gracie Mae -- and we truly got our happily ever after.

If you think your foster needs to see a vet, they immediately respond and take care of the bills. They have spent thousands in their very first year as a rescue on surgery for sick puppies. This is DEFINITELY the place to rescue a dog from. They are 100% dedicated, honest, caring and in the rescue business for all of the right reasons!!!

Today's visit to this Small building- Sr. Community Center on Grumman Road West off of South Oyster…read morebay Road, down road some and in back of big parking lot area, brought us to the LI Model Train show and Trainville Hobby Depot, Owned by Barbara and Joe. There were a few signs posted to follow to the location. Handicap door not working but there was a young guard diligently helping people in and out. Sign-in area pay 7 dollars per adult. 2 raffle tickets to fill in and drop by back table where Jim was working. ( see pix) Some displays of various miniature trains and one very nice trolley set up through the Long Island Traction Society. At another display Ryan shared with me the bottle used for smoke ( mineral oil safe) coming out of the caboose. Even miniature Winnie the Pooh and T- ig- GER Too. Some trains had holiday themes as Valentine's Day and Saint Patrick's Day. Flyers were given out for other scheduled dates as well as Oyster Bay Railroad Museum info.

The community center serves educational, recreational and the exercising needs of the community as well as neighboring communities and is able to be used for a nominal fee for those of the community and a slightly higher fee for those who don't live within it. The staff is very helpful and courteous in helping you meet your need in doing whatever it is you'd like to accomplish during your visit. I'll continue to support the center and encourage those who live within the community of westbury or neighboring town to stop by for a tour of the facility and support.

For the summer they also offer instructional classes 6 days a week (different sports), that my sons can join in on, and they fall under the umbrella of the nominal monthly fee that's already paid for. This is a cool place for kids and adults if you're a dino lover. Parking is very small, but not that many people come and go when I go. Admission is $15. Why the low rating you ask? When I did this a year ago, they had you wait in the lobby and gave you a guided tour and explained things, made you hold a snake, and gave you items to hold and touch that aren't part of the free for all it is now. I asked if they can do the guided tour, and we were told they have staff along the way to answer questions...not one human in site! So unfortunate, you guys really need that element back! By the way, I kind of feel bad for the goat that has his pen right next to the trex as big as a house...I've seen Jurassic Park, they are not besties. I'm sure that goat staring him down all day is scared for his life. :(
