Don't conclude, as we did, that the issue is actually settled just because someone in the store assured you it was. The people you talk to in the stores are not the ones pulling the strings. The owners are the ones in charge, and they don't want to talk to you. You'll likely never see them or hear from them. 2. Inconsistent workmanship. They sell quality products but don't always do an excellent installation job. Some of their installers know what they're doing, but some are novices. The person who installed our bathroom floor did a perfect job the first time. The kitchen floor and blinds, however, had to be redone. Try to get someone with experience to do the installation. We found that it's best to be there during the installation process. If underlayment was ordered, you'll have no way to know if it was installed, unless you were observing the process. 3. Treatment of customers: Don't be fooled by the affability of the people you encounter in the stores. As a return customer, you are just a pawn in their money-making schemes. If you have a grievance, they won't want to hear about it. If you owe money, don't expect to get an invoice in the mail. They don't spend money on billing customers. If you are unaware of an unpaid balance, they'll inform you by sending it to a collection agency. Bottom line: The owners of Strait Floors want your business, but they could care less if they destroy your credit rating. 4. Consumer rights: Just be aware that they have the right to send you to collection without warning. As a consumer, you have few rights.

I have bamboo on the top level of my townhouse, and I was wanting to match the color as close as possible for my other floors and stairs. I primarily worked with Tess through email and she was amazing! She asked me to send photos of my current floor, and then mailed me samples so that I could compare them against my flooring. She recommended a couple of contractors for installation that they work closely with. Rich came out and was able to give me a quote the same day. We had him remove old, awful carpet, refinish the oak floors underneath, and apply Swedish finish so that it would stand up to our pets. He gave us options, exchanged info via text so we weren't required to meet up each time, and did a pre-job visit to make sure he was good to go on the pricing and job needs. He also went above and beyond by adding on jobs per our request: putting new safety rubber stair treads on where synthetic carpet used to be, putting on new thresholds & baseboards, etc. He patched the floor where needed and repaired some sub-flooring that had been improperly installed decades ago. 12/10 would use again!

The LVP is lifting in areas because there are uneven surfaces. The LVP has lifted so much, that the boards are sharp where they have popped. I contacted Modern Flooring Services and they informed me that my warranty expired in February (2 months back) and that they won't be able to help me. This isn't a warranty issue, this is an installation issue. Don't use this company as they won't make good on their mistakes. They did offer to provide an estimate to repair the work, however. UMMM.
