Great experience with Mr Handyman's services. We had a deck that needed stairs and several boards…read morereplaced. Terry came out for the estimate quickly and quoted us a better price then several others we had out to look at the project. We were scheduled to be taken care of with the following weeks and today we have a completed repair job and our deck has never looked better! I highly recommend giving them a call, Jennifer was very nice to work with and coordinate our scheduling. Very nice people and great work, the final invoice even came out lower then the original quote!

I requested that a new outlet be added in my bathroom, a couple of light switches be reworked, my…read moregarbage disposal be replaced, and a light fixture be installed. Below is a brief synopsis, there's more detail of course. The tech managed to get one of the sets of switches reworked (which I was actually very impressed by because it's weird wiring) and the outlet was installed perfectly but I ended up having to remove the light fixture and re-install it and I am unhappy that the 15 year old flange was not replaced with the new garbage disposal. I've been told by many people that the flange absolutely should have been replaced and that this one will end up leaking at some point due to the 15 year old flange and 15 year old plumbers putty sealing it. I even had all the parts as well as the plumbers putty I purchased for the flange sitting beside the sink. The tech put the old garbage disposal in a small trash can that we really never use. Weeks later, thanks to the smell, I discovered it. There with a few inches of water in the bottom, mold, all sorts of disgustingness, and just threw the entire trash can away. I am unhappy that the Covid protocols they list on their website weren't followed. I did text a response to their follow up with no response and I did call and speak to someone there. I was told that the owner would return my call but that was months ago and I never heard back. I really wanted this to be a great service because I have a lot of work that I need done but I'm walking away very disappointed that, not only was the job not done to my satisfaction, but the owner didn't care enough to call back when I really just wanted the flange replaced as it should have been. The rest of the issues seemed like honest mistakes, and those things happen, but leaving old parts instead of taking a few minutes to replace them isn't okay. And never receiving a call back about the issues I had is the most bothersome part. Half the work was great but sadly I can't recommend them. I hope I can find a similar service to complete the rest of the work I need done.

UPDATE: I've now been verbally harassed TWICE by a resident here. He's threatened me both times. I…read morereported it to management and all they could do was transfer us to another apartment when our lease is up in 3 months...just let us leave! We're begging! This place is terrible. Shady people live here and we do not feel safe at all. The staff is very kind and nice but MAA is GARBAGE. They really embody the corporate American thievery. DO NOT LEASE HERE. This place will find a way to charge you. Very cheap apartment materials. A/C breaks once a week in the summer. Things break all the time. You'll put in a maintenance request once a week. Hope you like the smell of weed, too. Ruined a great location for apartments. The price looks good, but then they hit you with fees like trash and cable. AND THEN, they charge you a pest control fee and we STILL got roaches. Explain that to me. AVOID if possible.

I've lived at Hidden Creek for almost 7 months now. My overall experience has been pretty good,…read moreconsidering my last landlords were complete jerks. I prefer to rent from companies instead of private landlords. If you have any questions about my experience living here, feel free to reach out to me! Pros: - The landscaping is always upheld. I think I see the landscapers out here at least once a week doing something. - Maintenance has always been timely and friendly. I've made friends with a few of them actually. - When I was looking to move in the lady in the front desk was very upfront and clear about pricing after I asked her to write down every expense that would be charged per month and in detail. - The apartment is nice. New appliances, neutral paint colors and nicer carpets. At my previous apartment the colors on the wall were smokers yellow and the flooring was a hideous shade of brown, so I'm very happy with colors here. You also get a balcony which is hard to find at this price point. Cons: - We had a lot of problems within the first month of moving in. The bathtub kept clogging, my dishwasher broke, my garbage disposal stopped working and my toilet lever stopped working. All were fixed within a few days but everything shouldn't break when you first move in. - You have to have cable when living here. My husband loved that because we didn't ever have cable before but I do wish it was an option instead of mandatory. - I have had a minor problem (under 10) with "water bugs/ roaches" I'm from the north so this was very strange to see. The pest control guy said there isn't much they could do because they are outside bugs and will die eventually in the home but you can't really spray for them. - I wish there was another dumpster on site. The one they have is usually overflowing. I always see the maintenance men in the morning cleaning up the garbage but MAA should do something about it. - The "fitness center" is 4 cardio machines in a small closet. This summer they had the pool open with Covid, but wouldn't unlock the bathrooms so you had to go all the way to you apartment to use it. They never have the clubhouse open. Not sure why they even have it. They have a bunch of boxes in there so they're using it as a storage closet instead?

I live on the top floor, so idk if this applies to the floors, but I rarely hear anything through the walls. Good location Attached park and nearby green area around the stadium Friendly staff Good amenities. I didn't get to use them much pre-covid, but they seem nice. EPB internet access Cons: Poor communication from the front office. They didn't tell me that I had been taken off the wait list for a garage spot and just charged me for it. Thankfully, Christian was nice enough to reimburse the two weeks I wasn't parking in the garage. Also, it can be hard to reach someone at time both over the phone and through email. Expensive garage parking. Garage is $100 per month and outdoor (at the stadium a block away) is $45 per month. No recycling Forced valet trash charge. I can take my own trash out for $25 a month. No community events. Or at least I was never made aware of any pre-covid. Could be related to the poor communication. Overall, this is a very nice place to live, and I'm very happy with my choice!

See photos of packaged microwave and stacks of packaged windows and screens dragged out and left carelessly in the hallway for days due to leaks. The other two photos are of dog urine and feces that were left in the elevator and hallways. $100/ month to park in the garage. Gates were frequently left open for months for "future resident parking" leading to car break-in. Maintenance entering units at night time for non-emergencies. Strong cigarette and marijuana smoke can be smelled in elevator and hallways frequently. I would come home from work to my entire unit flooded with cigarette and thick marijuana smoke floating up from the units below me. I complained frequently to management and they took no action for 3 months. After 3 months I was issued a 2-3 sentence apology email. At this point the police department had to get involved. Due to all of these issues, I chose to give appropriate 60-day notice to vacate, as the terms of my lease were violated by management: Crime-Free/Drug-Free Housing Addendum and Smoke-Free Lease Addendum. Management is now demanding over $3,000 in fees and refusing to return my deposit.
