It went so far that WECU actually contacted my old credit union, and the staff there were so alarmed by what they heard that they personally called me -- asking what was going on, because in decades of experience they had never seen a fellow credit union behave this way. For a member-owned institution that's supposed to stand for fairness, transparency, and community, this experience has felt anything but. I truly hope WECU reconsiders how it treats its members -- especially those of us who chose it because we believe in the credit union philosophy.
