I liked their style- that the staff wasn't "Right in your face" or aggressive when you walked in the door, but they did approach you and give you information and are there for extra questions. I had a very good experience here! Noreen assisted me, and was extremely friendly and helpful. I was looking to buy a Flexsteel loveseat, and they had some demos that were exactly what I wanted... although due to my fabric choice, it will be a couple of weeks for my special order. I had done some shopping online, and had a rough idea what prices would be. Edgewater was willing and able to match a quote I had from a store in Portland, and I am very happy with that... saving a few dollars on a large purchase always helps, right? As you know, the furniture choices out there are overwhelming. several year's ago I was looking for a Stressless recline, researching all the options was a bit overwhelming. the staff at Edgewater was by far more knowledgeable about the product then any other place in the area. I have been replacing the interiors of my home after a wildfire I shopped thoroughly at Edgewater home furnishings. After deciding upon my selection I received furniture inside my home that was filled with cobwebs no one had bothered to wipe down the item after it sat for a long time I felt this was bad customer service. After letting the company know about this error they had nothing to say back to me and I felt that was a terrible terrible missed opportunity for them to continue receiving my Patronage. Many thousands of dollars were on the line they should have called or spoken to me about their mistake but they had no remorse my home was brand new and they brought that into my home! The sales person had no true interest in Helping me she said she had been a designer which was not trail I asked her If there was a designer affiliated with the store and she introduced Herself as that To me and offered her phone number In the end I did discover the store has a designer and the sales person is Not a designer. She is not an interior design person that is a person with a degree it is a difference. A salesperson had no feel for my home at all how could she possibly recommend Appropriate pieces. It was too evident. They have unique pieces that are overpriced and can be found on the Internet if you take a picture of the tag and go research it can fund cheaper furniture made by the same exact companies . read more

This store has it all! The way they have everything displayed really makes it possible for you to image it in your own home. And on top of their main sales floor, they have a whole back area that is a clearance area. So you can still get their high quality furniture at a discounted rate. After picking out a couch for my living room, I wasn't quite sure on the color I needed. I was able to take home fabric swatches to see what would look best in my home! Being able to go home and see what it would look like helped to make my decision that much easier. And the process to set up delivery was so easy! You get your moneys worth with them, from start to finish everyone was kind and very helpful. Here is our sad story. Edgewater sold us a very expensive couch that right away upon sitting on it, became crooked looking. The upholstery material, while attractive, did not stay in place. We went through so many months of driving 30 plus miles (one way), trying to "fix the problem". The cushions never did stay in place. I felt sick. I wanted to be happy about getting a new couch. The outcome? They callously charged us a $500 restocking fee to take it back. Really? How is this right when the couch had "cushion sliding" problems from the very beginning. Of course it was wrong of them to charge us twice. I experienced considerable stress over the ordeal, so we decided to just pay it and be free of such unyielding, money oriented individuals. We know Flexsteel has a presence in Mexico, so our advise is, buyer beware.. Their furniture may not be as it appears to be in the show room. read more

The service was awesome and were very helpful to us at choosing fabrics, styles and types of materials as well as getting the delivery set up and off furniture removed. BEWARE OF BUYING A MATTRESS FROM THEM. They do not have a trial period on them, charge a $50.00 delivery fee, don't haul away the old mattress or charge a $35.00 haul away fee. I now have a mattress that I can't sleep on and am out $654.00. read more

Stopped in ready to make a purchase. I already knew what I wanted from previous visit. Decided to look around while I waited for someone to approach me. After slowly browsing the entire store I was never even acknowledged. I saw several employees talking to each other at the back of the store and one passed right by me as they exited the building. We just moved to Eugene and had gone to a few furniture stores when we happily found Edgewater. The quality & variety of the furniture was lovely & much appreciated after spending time at other stores. They even have a room in the back with furniture on clearance. Dennis made it very easy for us and his laid back manner was delightful (I hate pushy sales people). We got our sofa delivered a day later. We spent far more than we wanted but feel happy with our purchase and the budget restraint we'll need for the next few months. I think we'll have this couch for the next 20 years. I moved to Oregon last Fall. I went on the website of Edgewood Home Furnishing. My schedule is pretty busy and I buy lots of stuff on line. www. edgewaterfurniture. com, and to my amazement, they list no prices for the furniture. I felt like like I can't establish trust with the store. (If they were selling watermelons they can argue that the price fluctuate from week to week.) I went on Amazon, searched for new phone was able to narrow the search by brand and by price. I bought the phone and both amazon and I are happy. As a final note, I have never seen a store where the prices are not listed, even an ice cream truck for kids will list their prices. read more

Remarkable what more is there to say. The personable feeling you get when you enter the door is just down right remarkable. For a reference I would say their customer oservice is greater than the greatness of Michael Jordan. Infact they should get a custom shoe. Not to mention I get a huge grin on my face the second I step foot into the store. Their furniture is unique, lavish and plush. Another great part is the aroma of the place. Edgewater has a distinct smell of vanilla pumpkin spice mixed with a tropical twist. This is my personal favorite aroma. Edgewater furniture is second to none in every single category. They have EVERYTHING from footstools to queen sized beds they are so cumfy and they have great knowledge about everything they have and stand behind them no other furniture store is the same the others are subpar or below unlike edgewater where the place is just fun unique and a flat out wonderful and inspirational palace of comfortable. I absolutely love this store! It is by far the best furniture store in town. The showroom is beautiful, and their customer service is outstanding. I found myself in the market for a new mattress only a year after I bought one from another store in town. It had completely failed after nine months of normal use, and the store would not stand behind it. Best furniture store I've ever gone to! The owner and the whole staff are super nice and feel the need to help you at any time needed! When I found out they had a new chair that had dogs all over it I was super happy! They have a number of great choices! It's so great that they can fit everyone's needs by having all the different styles and colors! I love that they have a pet food bank and actually run a dog transport. I have consistently received the best customer service possible every time I've shopped here. The sales people are always helpful, friendly and at the same time, give you space to wander the floor without any sales pressure. Without a doubt this past year I was the worst possible customer though I had a small excuse. Last winter 3 of our pipes froze and burst while we were out of town and we had to replace 80% of the furniture on this floor of our house. Over the next 11 months I purchased and returned two couches from Edgewater and now have a couch I absolutely love. I am so appreciative of their patience and understanding and it just reinforced why I love this store. And it's especially cool because it is a locally owned business - not a chain! read more
