Brenner's was the third furniture store we visited today, and the one that ended up getting our business. When you step inside, there's nice jazz music, a nice smell and balloons contributing to a laid back party atmosphere. Our sales person felt honest and not pushy. There were at least three floors of furniture, lots of options. If you are looking for a sleeper sofa, definitely check this place out. We got a good deal on our purchases (they can usually meet other stores' prices) and they threw in delivery for free (normally $125). Definitely will be at the top of my list next time I need some furniture. read more

Not upfront about anything. So forget about their warranty or their so many days of trying the mattress. Make them tell you everything. The mattress I ended up with was not at all what it seemed in the store. Absolutely no side support, you slide off if you sit on the edge. That did not happen to me in store, or I would not have bought it. Next day delivery? Nope. 2 week delivery. Nope. Ended up being about 3. This was just a horrible experience for me. Parking was also horrible, and if you're disabled, have fun getting into the store. read more

The best customer service! After a very bad experience and a total waste of non-refundable money at another local furniture store around the corner (M. J... cough...), we were a little nervous about buying more furniture. But Brenner's went above and beyond with getting us a good deal on new furniture, assured us we could return within 3 days for any reason, and made things right when there were some minor problems with our new furniture (they replaced pieces for free with no hassle). June 22 I visited Brenners website. Seeing there was an online chat I decided to give it a go. It surprised me to realize I was chatting with Lucas "real" person. I explained to Lucas exactly what type of chair I was searching for and what price line I was wanting to pay. He said they had several in the store and I made arrangement to meet Lucas when the store opened. I was greeted with a warm welcome. Rode the elevator down to the recliner area. What I appreciated most was that there was no trying to up sell or show me chairs I was not interested in. Perfect interaction and I felt my purchase was appreciated. Lucas share that Brenners has been in business 85 years at the same location. Upstairs the paperwork, payment and delivery day was completed. We had been to several stores (online and in-person) taking our time finding the couch and recliner we liked. When we made it to Brenner's we were met with friendly and knowledgeable staff, clean store, and quality furniture. We spoke with Dallas Boggs and then we walked around at our leisure looking at furniture. We found a few items we liked, took measurements, and grabbed Dallas' card and left. The two pieces we really liked were a matching Ashley Furniture set. So, a couple days later we went into the actual Ashley Furniture store. They didn't have the set we wanted in stock and said it would take several months to order them. And they were approximately $500 more for just the couch. I ended up calling Dallas Boggs and let him know we'd like to order the couch and recliner. He was very nice and helpful!! We did the order right over the phone. My partner and I recently stopped by Brenner's without knowing what we wanted. The salesperson, Lucas, was the first person we'd encountered who actually listened to us --we told him we wanted to browse and maybe get back to him, and he gave us the time and personal space to do just that, only occasionally checking in on us. That gave us the mental bandwidth to realize that yes, we did love some of Brenner's items, and that we'd like to make purchases. We wound up buying 2 side tables, a mattress, a bed cover, and a table set with two extra chairs Lucas helped us get. It was all incredibly refreshing, relaxing, professional, and slick. We felt like we got a tremendous value on everything. A few weeks later, the delivery team was just as professional and precise, ensuring --without our prompting-- that the larger items made it inside touching as few doorframes as possible and looking just as amazing as we'd seen in the showroom. 100% recommend Brenner's, We were in the market for a mattress and sofa and I was not looking forward to dealing with sales pitches being thrown at me constantly. He let us roam on our own so we never felt pressured to buy or make decisions, and any time we had a question he was always there to give us a hand. Furniture shopping used to fill me with fear. I always thought most non-IKEA furniture was either crazy expensive or unstylish. I assumed salespeople were pushy. But thanks to Brenners, their great staff, and their selection of nice stuff at good prices, I am no longer afraid. We were originally looking for a sectional couch, of which Brenners had a LOT of, in a very wide selection. The store is huge and multi-leveled and there is a lot of nice things. Make sure you look everywhere. Prices were clearly marked and often lower than I expected. There was also a good selection of rugs and artwork, as well as a clearance section with deep discounts. We ended up getting a bed, nightstands, and a TV stand in addition to the couch, as well as a nice painting and a cool decorative mirror. We got our couch (Oregon made) and TV stand 3 days after ordering, which I thought was pretty great. The bedroom stuff came in a couple days later. The delivery guys were nice, on-time, and did a great job putting stuff together. The guy who was assisting us (Josh) also made our experience a good one. He gave us plenty of room to walk around and look and was quick and available when we needed him. His knowledge of the store and the furniture was also top-notch. And he was a friendly guy. If you're in the market for some stylish mid-tier furniture, I suggest coming to Brenners first. After a visit here you might not need to go anywhere else. Brenners has the best customer service around.. we went to every furniture store in town looking for a platform bed..brenners had one on the floor for display, but had to order it. We didn't really want to wait for the order, so they sold us the one in the floor, and then they were going to order another display.. no one else in town would do.. most stores in town were to busy to even take the time to help.. the delivery and set up people were above and beyond! We bought a $3000 couch in August of 2017. Within 6 months the fabric was wearing and ripped. We had bought the insurance Brenner's recommended and submitted a claim. We have been continuously getting the run-around from the insurance company since. We finally went to Brenner's this past month and let them know how terrible the insurance company has been. We were told that "it's been past 2 years so there is nothing we can do". Brenner's sold us the insurance policy for the couch! Terrible customer service and we will never use them again. We shopped for and purchased a new leather reclining set from Brenner's over Memorial Day weekend. We had great customer service from Lance. A couple weeks after receiving our furniture, I noticed a staple was about to poke through the leather on the side of the couch and it looked like the seam on the loveseat was coming unsewn. Additionally, I had mentioned to my husband several times that the spot I always sat in on the couch was uncomfortable and that my back hurt after sitting on our brand new couch that was so comfy in the store. I went into Brenner's just before 4th of July weekend with pictures of the staple and seam. I was told they would check with their rep and then likely send their repair guy out to look at it. They called back and said they had ordered new fabric and to contact their repair guy for a time to come out and replace it and to look at the seat that is uncomfortable. It took over a month to coordinate with their repair guy. When he finally came out on Aug. 30, he said the frame on our couch is broken and the whole thing needs to be replaced. He took pictures to provide to Brenner's. He adjusted the set-up on our loveseat and said it hadn't been properly set up, which took care of the seam concern. I talked to the Brenner's employee in charge of repairs and replacement that same day and let him know how frustrating this is that it's been 3 months since we purchased, that we paid thousands of dollars for brand new furniture, that it took so long to get their repair guy out to our house...and he said he would work on finding a resolution to this and get back to me. That was a week and a half ago and I haven't heard a word back from anyone at Brenner's. I tried calling yesterday and got his voicemail. I am beyond disappointed in the customer service we've received and, at this point, just want a refund and for them to come get our broken furniture so we can shop somewhere else that values customer service. The only reason I'm giving this review two stars is because of the initial positive experience we had with Lance when we purchased. read more

Ultimately I bought a table and chairs from Ashley's across town. They couldn't match the same price, but were close. Though I would like to say, the service here was far better and I will be coming here for my next furniture purchases. I believe Josh was helping my wife and I. I am a tough cookie to crack and he was not pushy at all and had great sales practices showing me around the store when I needed help and leaving me alone when I wanted to just browse. My partner and I spent a lot of time shopping for a new sectional last Friday. After going to many furniture stores, we decided to head to Brenner's downtown. The gentleman working there was super friendly, guided us to couches in our price range- and told us all about the specials. I appreciated that he was attentive, but that he also wasn't pushy at all. After finding the perfect sectional, we had it delivered Monday. The two guys who delivered our giant sectional were Jasper and Tillmen. They were very quick and efficient, and super nice. Honestly I was shocked how fast they were able to get the couch into our very old apartment elevator without damaging anything at all! Brenner's did an amazing job start to finish. I called to explain that we have a medically fragile child, and that we don't really go places or do things at all but that I desperately needed a new sofa. Nate was happy to help me, and did do with compassion and understanding. He told me the time of day that they have no other customers and was expecting me when I got there. He greeted me at a distance. He informed me that he had just re-wiped down all of the touch surfaces. He took me right to sofas that were within the budget that I told him we had set. Even when I went to swipe my credit card, he let me know that he had just wiped it off again and was very respectful of our need for extreme measures to prevent spread of the virus your son. Today was delivery day! Tillman and Taylor just got done delivering the sofa, and they went to great measures to make sure that we felt safe and secure. But also, my house is REALLY hard to get furniture into and out of. They were unbelievably patient. They tried multiple times to remove our old furniture, And eventually figured out how to do it. They were even patient when they struggled on more than one route trying to bring the new sofa in, and just when I was about to give up and think "I guess we don't get a new couch," They were able to figure out a way to deliver. They were kind and patient and helpful and I could not be happier with the experience than I had. So much of this pandemic has been really hard and the people at Brenner's made sure that buying furniture was actually fun and as easy as it could be. Thank you guys! read more

Purchased a sofa and loveseat approx 3 years ago I was told it was made of bonded leather the sofa material developed what looks like scrapes and splits .We are a Senior couple and the sofa has never been abused in anyway ,the material seems like the covering is thinner than toilet paper (the cheapest kind) We have moved from Eugene otherwise I would have dued bit at the store read more

I got exactly the Stanton sleeper I wanted and I'm happy I can support a local company and a local furniture maker at the same time. Additionally, the delivery folks were prompt, polite, and helpful. The day had finally arrived, the kids are old enough to care for what we use and not use the furniture as a jungle gym. With, the old Craigslist couch gone we began to plan on the next step to buying new furniture. One add caught my ear and the reviews they received were very nice. Brenners furniture here in Eugene was the first stop, the store was clean, smelled great and friendly. We were dreading the overwhelming car dealer sharks that y I u would encounter at any sales job but this wasn't that. We spoke with Dallas, the main man there and he was very helpful and responsive to what we were looking for. Very cool guy and easy to talk too, not pushy at all even when we suggested that we wanted to check out another store after he spent time with us. Quality of furniture here is top notch, sure they have the college kid dorm furniture in the back (which still wasn't bad) but the good stuff was very everywhere. As they say, ya get what ya pay for. After driving to the other store and noticed better prices here with a great warranty and delivery on the day we needed it. We picked up a a very handsome living room set. Lousy customer service. No call backs and no follow through. I ordered approx $5000 worth of furniture a couple months ago. Couches were Stanton 857 and they were $3000 of that purchase. The factory floor power model cushions felt great to sit in! I purchased these couches with manual mechanisms to save some money. I expected the cushions to feel very similar just lacking a power button and adjustibility. I received the couches, pictured on my google review, which were the hardest most uncomfortable over stuffed pigs I ever sat on. The large couch also had shotty construction as the left seat back cushions were constructed 1.5" lower than the right as easily seen in the pictures on my google review. On top of that they damaged the single chair recliner arm with a box cutter before ever loading them on the truck. The handle was also all scratched up. I contacted my sales guy Nate at Brenners and wanted them returned which they said i couldn't because it was custom fabric. The fabric was from their free standard selections but still they refused to return them. I him i wanted new couches because these are un-liveable the way they are and not cheap. I asked them to contact Stanton over the problems and they did. Stanton said they could not return them but they could convert them to full 3 way power for me at an additional charge so they would be as comfortable as the floor models. This turned out to be false, a complete blunder by Nate... they could only convert the reclining feature not the seat back which is 100% the problem with the couch! The only remedy they were willing to do was come out and remove some stuffing which I already did. It did not help, only made it look like a deflated bean bag since it was constructed oversized in a poor manner. They did nothing for the 1.5" variance in seat cushion height either. Finally they sent their repair guy Brian out. Nice guy. He agreed they were much stiffer than the floor models and puffed way out. I showed him the 1.5" variance on cushion heights. He said he would discuss this with his manager and contact Stanton back to see if anything could be done. He mentioned a few options that may be possible like returning these and doing some sort of reduced pricing swap with stanton, possibly reselling these on the floor for lower etc... above my head stuff. He promised a call back after I told him that I had NEVER had a single returned called from the sales guy when he said he would call me back after fining out more from Stanton. He said he was different BUT guess what!? I never heard another thing back from them EVER except that my repair part was in. They installed it today. They never ordered the scratched up handle either. Listen closely: Everything is great at Brenners until you end up with a problem product. They WILL NOT stand behind thier products even after admitting major defects. ALL they care about is the sale and commission! I even contacted Stanton an Oregon company and they refused to return my calls or emails. Shame on Brenners. read more

I teally wanted to like this place since all the other reviewers did. Sadly, I expect more when I spend thousands of dollars of my hard-earned money. Some of the furniture was made well, some pieces were not. The dresser was a nice Cherry color: 2 knobs matched & 8 knobs were a shade lighter which made the whole dresser look cheap. For $600 it should look perfect! (This was the first time I bought new furniture in 15 years!) I bought 2 beds, three nightstands, and an end table. So I bought silver knobs at the hardware store and replaced all of them on this dresser. I should not have to spend $40 on knobs for a brand-new dresser! One nightstand (same brand) had a drawer that wouldn't open correctly. I think that Brenner's should let the manufacturer know that their quality is inconsistant. I bought a dresser at Rife's that I love: much better quality! I won't be shopping at Brenner's anymore which is too bad for them. read more

My family moved to Eugene in 1984. I think our first purchase was in 1988 I was a teenager at the time. We were so pleased with our purchase we have continued to shop there for decades. My husband and I went here to get a new bed and living room furniture. The salesmen are nice, don't hover when you don't want them but are close by when you have questions. Always thankful for non-hovering. While we found a mattress we liked, we were not successful in finding a couch. There was nothing we liked, the stuff we thought would work were uncomfortable. Plus, I didn't enjoy the musty smell of the place, especially in the basement. Who wants to buy new furniture that potentially smells like that? We took our business elsewhere. read more
