They refused to refund the deposit citing the email they sent as their official policy. Shady business practice - vague to say the least, very deceptive. The property managers were friendly, responsive, and fixed the few technical issues we had on our side. I was also very impressed with the maintenance staff. We had to put in an emergency maintenance request at one point, and the staff was there within an hour. The whole issue was resolved that weekend. If the rent doesn't scare you away, I would say anyone would be more than happy here. And downtown Northampton was great to have so close by.

What even? They pay someone who threatens your pet? This apartment complex used to be full of families, quiet, and the rent was reasonable. My neighbors and I are quickly moving out - you see good families leaving every day. Even if you are willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money for rent, know that the apartments marked luxury are just "lipstick on a pig," the crappy structure just being given a fresh coat of paint (that chips).

my brief stay here at the "House of Horrors," as my friends and family refer to it, I have been…read morephysically assaulted for no reason, I have had my apartment broken into on multiple occasions (with items stolen), I have had crackheads try to break into my apartment and harass me VIA the buzzer system looking for their crack which was distributed to them by the former resident of my apartment that used to reside in my apartment but moved across the street to avoid some of his customers, and has continued his crack dealing (again, the landlord does nothing) I have almost had my skull cracked open by the first-floor tenant that has been institutionalized against her will over ten times due to her violent behavior, I have developed asthma due to CONSTANT smoking in this "no- smoking" building, I have had homeless people get keys to my home without any explanation OR resolution from the landlord; I have caught (on multiple occasions) the property manager taking pictures of the door of my apartment with no apparent reason for being anywhere near my door; I have watched the maintenance people "clean" by sweeping a rug.., and the cherry on top has been the construction that started in the backyard (the former selling point for me), the knowledge of a construction happening was withheld from me until it began to, and the whores to the state *CHR reality * got a nice payout from the city coming in, tearing down every tree in the backyard making it essentially just dirt with Trash on it, and making a "bike path." that still hasn't been made... Over a year after, I've been stuck in this hell hole. I was lied to about the location of the trash and the laundry location before moving in. The hallway is always dirty and smells like smoke, crack smoke, cigarette smoke, weed smoke, 24/7, and you can bet that you'll be woken up at the ass crack of dawn by the "construction" in the backyard, but Don't worry, it's only every day from 7 AM-4 PM ;) oh! And Dont bother trying to open up your window to save yourself from the smell of smoke; the backyard smells like feet and more cigarette smoke now that there's no grass to absorb the scent of the People who live here... And Don't fool yourself into thinking the landlord or the health department will do anything to stop any of this; they won't. Lots of people are paid off, so this place can continue to be a hell hole. Definitely stay the fuck away if you know what is good for you!

It is an old mill that has been transformed into multiple different stores, restaurants and services. When we last came in we went to a flea market event, stopped at their arts and crafts store, and then also went into their antique store. We have also stopped here when we needed to go the RMV since it is also housed in the complex. Overall the list of stores, restaurants, and services located in this restored mill are too long to list. It is definitely worth dropping by or checking their website to see all they have to offer. The next time we are in the area we will make it a point to stop in again. Final note, they also rent apartments in this mill which looked incredible.

I had several experiences with office managers in other apartments who outright decline certain requests like keeping a delivered package/documents safe while you are traveling or when moved out. But, Annette helps you out with everything (maintainence and non maintainence stuff). Also, you can easily reach out to her via email or texts and she always responds right away. Coming to maintainence issues, I hardly had any during my 3 year stay. If you are someone who cooks often like me, food needs to be in the cabinets or refrigerator but no pest issues. Apartments are clean and well maintained. Walls are thin but neighbors never raised any issues or concerns for me. No parties or theft concerns as well. Overall, I would easily choose to stay here again.

Common spaces are also cleaned and vaccumed regularly. Owner Tim contacted my wife and I personally and addressed our previous concerns. Pat the Property Manager was instrumental in making our living here wonderful. For the price, this apartment is by far one of the best we have seem. Beautiful landscaping-the grounds are nicely kept. Plenty of parking. No small kids/family living here- from what we can see. Buildings are well maintained. Common areas are inviting. Staff are friendly and helpful. Most the neighbors seemed friendly.

It's a quiet neighborhood and it's very pleasant to live here. My neighbors are friendly and easy to talk to. I looked at many other condos, in Amherst, Belchertown, Hadley, etc. But they didn't give me that I want to move in here aright away, but this one, Jacob's Edge Condominums just called to me as soon as I walked in the door. I'm in a duplex, we also have triplexes and four free standing homes that came much later. I watched the property grow from an empty lot. It's spacious and I have my own 2 car garage and driveway as does everyone else. Any work done inside my condo, is done by people I done business with before, the costs for the work I have done is reasonable, if not, I get other's opinions as to who to hire. I don't put up with disgruntled and obnoxious people, who do lousy work and charge too much for nothing.

Apartments come with electric, AC, cable access, and it's right on a main bus route. Distance to Umass is about 3 miles. The units are usually two story and no one lives above you. It i generally a quiet place and is family oriented. The service here is very good but don't bring your pets as they are prohibited by the animal police. Our unit was in the back and on the end. Parking was easy either in the back or front. We lived here for two years before we moved and never had any real problems.
