Unfortunately, my mother in law is at Edgewood and it is not that great especially for the money she pays for her little room in assisted living. They receive cold and crappy food and can't seem to keep a chef. I have complained more than once about their food but they didn't really care. Let's face it, these places are for profit and couldn't care less about its residents. Thank god my mother in law has a little fridge and her son brings her drinks and food so she has something to eat It's really a shame these people are not getting the quality meals they pay for.
I would never recommend this place to anyone. Do everything you can to avoid having to put a loved one here. Also her son is there everyday to make sure she is not mistreated and he too has complained about the food situation. I recommend if you do have a loved one in one of these places, you need to go everyday to ensure your loved one is not mistreated because as I said these places are in it for profit not the comfort and care of your loved ones. Also avoid sending or receiving mail at these places as it gets stolen. After this happened to my mother in law she now gives mail to her son to mail at post office. read more
